00:04Today, it's all about the new 2025 Lada Nibas Sport,
00:07the Russian off-road veteran with a new engine and sporty aspirations.
00:13The Lada Niva, a classic among off-road vehicles that was developed in the 1970s,
00:18is now getting a revised version that promises more power and dynamics than ever before.
00:25Despite its advanced age, the Nibas is still one of the most affordable off-road vehicles
00:29you can buy. And that remains the case in the new sports version.
00:36In future, the Lada Niva Sport will be powered by a revised 16-valve petrol engine,
00:41which, with its output of 122 horsepower and maximum torque of 151 newtonim at 5,000 revolutions per
00:48minute, is significantly higher than the previous standard. The previously installed 1.7L naturally
00:55aspirated engine with 83 horsepower and 5-speed manual transmission has thus become obsolete.
01:02Not only is the reinforced transmission new, but also the revised reduction gear,
01:05which benefits the off-road vehicle particularly off-road.
01:10But the technical improvements are not limited to the powertrain alone.
01:14The chassis has also been revised, as has the braking system.
01:20Important elements were used to actually enable the sporty driving behavior promised by the manufacturer.
01:26Inside, the Niva Sport features new accents that clearly point towards racing.
01:32Sports seats, a marked steering wheel with a 12 o'clock position and other details create the
01:37right ambience in the cockpit.
01:38According to the brand, the experience gained from motorsports was specifically incorporated
01:45into the development in order to raise the dynamics and performance of the model to a new level.
01:52Prices for the Niva Sport Loader have not yet been officially announced.
01:57However, if the current models are taken as a reference,
02:00the conventional Niva Legend starts at around âŹ8,600.
02:03While the more comfortable Niva Bronto is available from around âŹ13,800,
02:11it can be assumed that the sports version will also remain an extremely affordable option.
02:19However, a market launch in Europe is unlikely,
02:22which is perhaps not too regrettable given the strict emissions and safety regulations on the continent.
