00:04The BMW Group has now published its sales figures for the second quarter.
00:08How did we fare?
00:10We were able to generate positive momentum in the second quarter and the BMW Group grew by around plus 0.4% in the second quarter.
00:18This makes the BMW brand the clear segment leader at the end of the first half of the year and we are also very pleased with the sales figures, for example.
00:25The Mini brand is now establishing itself as a product range and we were able to generate strong growth with the Mini brand in the second quarter.
00:34Let's take a look at the first half of the year together.
00:37How did things go with electric vehicles?
00:42We recorded significant growth in cancellations for electric vehicles throughout the first half of the year and in this quarter, i.e. the second, we were also able to celebrate a significant milestone.
00:52The delivery of our 1.5 millionth fully electric vehicle, a Mini Countryman Electric produced in Leipzig for a customer in Portugal.
01:02This success once again underlines how we have developed from an electric pioneer into one of the largest players in the electric vehicle market.
01:10The first six months of the year are now behind us.
01:13What are our plans for the second half of the year?
01:15Well, we are looking forward to the second half of the year with confidence, partly because of our strong product portfolio and, of course, the full availability of the new Mini family.
01:28We are also seeing a significant increase in incoming orders and are of course particularly looking forward to the launch of the new class with its world premiere in Munich in September.
