00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, everything revolves around the exciting comparison between the new Audi Q3 from the 2025 model year and the tried and tested BMW X1 from the U11 series from 2023.
00:16In this duel, two bestsellers in the compact SUV class meet, with the Audi Q3 in its third generation featuring a fundamentally revised design.
00:24Although the modular transverse matrix from Wolfsburg continues to serve as the technical basis, the new Audi looks significantly more modern.
00:35The front end is particularly striking with a huge radiator grille and narrow headlights in the split headlight style.
00:43At the top are the daytime running lights and indicators, which are connected directly to the bonnet, while the main headlights are housed in a separate lower area.
00:51The rear has also been redesigned with horizontally divided taillights, a continuous light strip and an illuminated Audi logo.
01:01A strong presence in the rear view mirror.
01:04Inside, Audi has opted for a modern operating concept around the steering wheel and a large curved display.
01:10The gear selector is now located on the right side of the steering wheel and allows you to choose between forward and reverse, while a lever for the windshield wipers, lights and indicators is located on the left.
01:23A tidy solution with a focus on ergonomics.
01:26In terms of size, the new Q3 remains almost at the same level as its predecessor.
01:31At around 4.50 meters, the BMW X1 is slightly longer and therefore also offers more space in the luggage compartment.
01:39While both vehicles are comparable in everyday use with around 490 L, the BMW offers significantly more storage space with a maximum of just over 1,500 L than the Audi with around 1,400 L.
01:52Audi will be offering several drivetrain options at the market launch in September 2025.
01:56The entry-level model is the Q3 TFSI with 110 kW, which competes against the BMW X1 S-Drive 20i.
02:05Above that is the Q3 TFSI with 195 kW, which delivers 265 horsepower and 400 Nm.
02:12It is positioned between the X123 and the sportier X1 M35i.
02:16Diesel drivers can choose from the Q3 TDI with 110 kW, which competes with the BMW X-Drive 80d, S-Drive and X-Drive 20d models.
02:30Particularly interesting is the Q3i hybrid plug-in hybrid with 200 kW and 272 hp, which is positioned between the X1 X-Drive 25e and the more powerful X-Drive 30e.
02:41The new Audi Q3 starts at around €44,600 in Germany for the basic petrol engine.
02:50The plug-in hybrid is slightly more expensive at around €49,000.
02:55By way of comparison, the cheapest BMW X1 S-Drive 8i also costs around €44,600.
03:01Buyers should budget around €51,000 and around €53,500 for the two plug-in hybrids of the X1.
