00:00Welcome to the new video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're talking about a vehicle that redefines the limits of what's possible,
00:08the Quenix Sack Satyrs Spear.
00:12This new hypercar is an incompromising evolution of the already extreme Jesko attack,
00:17and Quenix proves once again that they don't compromise in their pursuit of performance.
00:23The Sadares Spear is lighter, stronger, and even more geared toward use on the racetrack.
00:30The unusual name may sound unwieldy at first, but there's a personal story behind it.
00:36The car is named after the racehorse that Christian von Konnick's father,
00:40an avid jockey, rode in his last race in 1976.
00:44A homage that imbues the heart of the vehicle with emotional value.
00:50The Sadares Spear is powered by a well-known engine, the 5-liter V8 Baturbo from the Jesko.
00:56Coupled to the 9-speed lightspeed transmission without a flywheel,
01:02the engine with motorcycle characteristics revs up to the limit of 8,500 revolutions in just two seconds.
01:09A lot has been revised here.
01:12New air intakes, improved cooling, and a newly tuned engine control system
01:16increase the power with E85 fuel to an impressive 1,625 horsepower.
01:21If you fill up with conventional petrol, you will still get around 1,300 horsepower.
01:29There are no figures for acceleration or top speed yet, but one fact speaks for itself.
01:37On the Swedish Gotland Ring, the Sadares Spear beat the previous lap record held by the Jesko attack
01:42by an impressive 1,1 seconds.
01:46This is due in no small part to the further refined aerodynamics.
01:51An active double blade, rear wing, and an extended rear generate significantly more downforce,
01:57while larger canaries, additional ventilation slots, and air outlets at the front ensure perfect balance.
02:02The wheels have also been revised.
02:07Newly designed 7-spoke aircore carbon wheels in the blade design are fitted with particularly wide track tires.
02:13The front is 275R20, the rear 335R21.
02:21Michelin PS Cup 2 tires are fitted as standard.
02:25The uncompromising Cup 2R is also available as an option.
02:28The brakes feature carbon ceramic discs with racetrack-ready pads.
02:35The chassis has been given lighter springs and targeted lightweight construction,
02:39including the elimination of soundproofing material and the use of special carbon fiber seats,
02:44has reduced the overall weight by around 35 kg.
02:48Nevertheless, the interior remains comfortable.
02:51A digital cockpit directly on the steering wheel,
02:54an audio system and wireless charging for smartphones are still part of the equipment.
02:59If you want, you can have six seatbelts installed instead of the usual seatbelts.
03:04Provided you are not in a hurry to get in.
03:08Christian von Koenigsegg describes the Seder Spear as the perfect next step for his company.
03:12A car that combines brutal performance, sophisticated aerodynamics and visual presence on the road.
03:21Production is limited to just 30 units.
03:25The price is around 4,500,000 euros.
03:29And of course all the vehicles have already been sold.
03:32As always, you can read the full article in the video description.
03:42As we say at K, perfection is moving target.
03:55Just when you think you reach the ultimate pinnacle of performance execution,
03:58there is always the next step.
04:00You can always go one step further.
04:02That's what's all about this.
04:03So why the Saturn Sphere?
04:04Well, we just finished off the wonderful Yesco program this year
04:18and the last horse that Yesco raced in 1976 was the Seder Spear.
04:23So, what better way than to celebrate the end of the Yesco
04:26and the start of a new performance era, brah?
04:29So, what better way than to celebrate the Seder Spear?
04:59My name is Steve Dobbs.
05:20Concept Design Manager KS are small team of designers, surface modelers, engineers
05:24responsible for the simulation department from the first sketches,
05:27from the first ideas from Christian all the way to the awesome concept released
05:31to our engineering colleagues.
05:32Today, we here in Gotland to present our newest creation,
05:35the Spear evolution of the AGA before it,
05:37but it really set a new performance level never seen before.
05:40We're expecting the same here from the SP.
05:54It took something amazing and just pushed that limit a little bit further
05:58and we're very curious to see what this can do
06:00and the performance it will show us going forward.
06:02So, Seder Spear is the most track-focused road car that we've ever built.
06:08With great power comes great cooling.
06:10We increase the overall cooling performance on this car over 30%.
06:14Starting from the front of the car, we have a much bigger front hood outlet.
06:18This increases not only the front downforce, but also improves cooling in the rear.
06:23We have new intake scoops.
06:24We added an additional engine oil radiator in the back.
06:28Also, the bigger dive planes we have on the side of the car.
06:31Not just improve front downforce, but also aid in the cooling of the rear intercoolers.
06:36More air intakes, more cooling, more power.
06:391300 to be exact on 95 and 1625 on E85.
06:45It's just that little extra everywhere to take it to the next level.
06:49We have quite a few aerodynamic refinements on the car.
06:51For this, we have longer underfloor strikes.
06:55We have small improvements with the rocker arms.
06:57These are the V behind the front wheels.
07:00L on top of the wheels are different.
07:02And then we obviously have this very big wing on the back of the car.
07:07It's a dual plane element rear wing.
07:09We have about 20% more downforce and 5% less drag.
07:15So another big change to the car since we increased the downforce so much.
07:19We retuned the damper and spring setup of the car both from the corner springs and the triplex.
07:25Another unique aspect of Sadar Spear are the carbon air core wheels.
07:29With our historic turbine wheel profile that we pioneered on the Agara R that actually sucks air from underneath the car, increasing downforce and cooling the brakes.
07:38It's just a very neat trick, but it requires a unique wheel per corner of the car, which really puts a challenge on the production systems with that many varieties just for the wheels.
07:50Performance newer is even more careability, 275 with front tires and 335 with rear tires both on Cup 2 and Cup hours.
08:08So, the car retains the incredible and amazing flat plane V8.
08:16Plus, we carried over the N-speed gearbox from Yesco with incredibly short and fast shift.
08:21So, this isn't a stripped out race car.
08:28We retain all the creature comforts like electric seat, stereo system, AC system, the auto skin system.
08:34We have lifters front and rear.
08:37We kept all these functionalities in the car while saving weight.
08:40My name is Marcus London, development test driver at Kixit.
08:46The biggest difference I feel driving K compared to other cars in the same segment is the stability, especially high-speed cornering braking.
08:53As you can see, I'm here without the top.
08:56So, even if this car is like so extreme, we still have these awesome functionalities.
09:01I have electric seats.
09:02I have power brakes, power steering, airbags.
09:05For this model, we also tuned in our dampers a bit more.
09:08This is a very bumpy trap.
09:11It handles it so well.
09:14You can break into this corner for example to can basically one hand.
09:23And so, the car rotates very nicely on corner exit.
09:30So, you basically just go on trouble a little bit earlier than you think and then it kind of rotates a bit and just keep the corner very nice slide.
09:38Super nice.
09:40Let's see what can do.
09:41So, that's a wrap.
09:58What a beautiful day at Gotland Ring, the numb ring of Sweden.
10:04What a car.
10:06The sad spear.
10:08Its first shakedowns run on a racetrack.
10:10It sets a record.
10:13What will the future bring?
10:14Thankyou for watching.
