00:00I can't believe that we can't figure this out with the gloves, that after all these years, we're still poking people in the eye with these gloves on, but it is what it is.
00:09It's just one of those random things. There's no one to blame. It happened.
00:13You think Cyril Gaughan wants to train that hard and then have his dream taken away from him after he looked so good to start the fight?
00:20You think Tom Aspinall didn't want to continue, but that, you know what I mean, that he wanted to train and have to, like, have the fight as an adult contest?
00:27Nobody wanted it to happen, Tom. Sometimes it happens in a fight game.
00:33Yeah, that's the unfortunate part, and it feels like Tom Aspinall is taking all the blame for this, and it's like, he's the guy that got fouled.
00:40He's not the guy that was doing the foul, and people are like, oh, he was getting pieced up. He's looking for an out.
00:45I'm like, the strike count was, you know, even in this fight. He wasn't looking for a while.
00:51He wasn't getting pieced up. No. He wasn't getting pieced up.
00:54It's just, like, you look around at the MMA community, and that's what you get.
00:58It's just unfortunate.
00:59That's pretty sad. Can you imagine thinking a man like Tom, like, yeah, he wanted to, like, yeah, he was looking for a way out, as if he was looking for a way out.
01:08I mean, the guy couldn't see, literally and figuratively.
01:11Yeah, and that's the MMA community, though.
01:13I mean, that's what you get whenever you have a situation like this.
01:17There's always a bad guy. Tom Aspinall is one of the nicest guys in the sport.
01:22He's a humble guy. Like, he was even asked, if you beat Jon Jones, would that make you the greatest of all time?
01:27And he said, no, it would make me the greatest right now.
01:30Like, he's not a guy, you know, that's trying to act like he's the man.
01:34He just wants to go out there and prove that he's the best.
01:37You know, he's had to wait for these title opportunities.
01:40He's had to wait to defend his actual belt and to make him the bad guy in this situation.
01:46And if you watch that slow-mo and you watch both knuckles go into his eye sockets, it's like, dude, come on.
01:53What's the guy supposed to do?
01:55You know, we saw DC.
01:56He got poked in the eye against Stipe.
01:58He had one eye.
01:59He fought through it and he got his ass kicked for the last three rounds of that fight.
02:03So it's like, do you really want to lose your title because you're compromised because of a foul?
02:09You know, it's a tough situation.
02:12It's tough for everybody.
02:13It's tough for gone.
02:14It's tough for us as fans.
02:16It's tough for Aspinall as the champion.
02:19It's just the nature of the beast when it comes to MMA.
02:21It's just unfortunate.
