00:00You've been around long enough to know, as have Hyde, I've said this for years,
00:04oftentimes the star-laden card or you're expecting fireworks
00:07and it turns out to be a boring card,
00:09and other times you don't have any expectations for a card
00:12and it turns out to be very exciting.
00:15There's an Eastern European takeover, obviously, going on right now in the UFC,
00:20and I think people kind of take a lot of these fighters for granted
00:23because they're not big fans of theirs.
00:26They're not like big media darlings in North America.
00:30And they're deemed, oh, they're boring, but all they do is win.
00:35And put it this way, imagine if Colby Covington won 14 fights in a row
00:42or Conor McGregor, like the hype, but Davos Schill, you guys won 14 fights in a row.
00:48No one really ever talks about. That's a hell of a run, man.
00:52Yeah. Well, part of the problem with Murab, unfortunately,
00:54I mean, Murab has been endearing to fans.
00:56I think he's certainly won people over,
00:57but part of it is he doesn't finish a lot of fights.
00:59So I think for the fans, they want to see finishes.
01:01Alex Pereira can't speak English, Gabe, but he is a star in the UFC
01:05because he finishes fights.
01:07And he has just enough English to kind of get by, you know?
01:10So that's what it comes down to.
01:11And listen, I don't blame Murab.
01:13The guys that he's fighting are very tough to finish.
01:15Like a Corey Sanhagen, I think, has only ever been finished once in his career,
01:18and that was years ago.
01:19So I don't blame him.
01:20And listen, he almost finished the fight in the second round.
01:22If you remember against Sanhagen, credit to Sanhagen and his durability,
01:25he was able to survive that second round and ended up going the distance.
01:27But I think that's why Murab doesn't have that superstar status
01:30because he's not getting the finishes.
01:31But he's got a good personality.
01:33I just don't – I think it's so hard in today's day and age to build stars.
01:37Like, it's so hard to replicate a McGregor where you have that good self-promotion
01:40and you're finishing fights and you're from a part of the world
01:43where, like, you're getting a lot of that notoriety.
01:45I think for Murab, it's – he's an amazing fighter.
01:47And I'll confidently say this, Gabe, and we can disagree on this.
01:50I think Murab is the best bantamweight of all time.
01:52Like, if you look at the resume he had even prior to getting to that title shot,
01:55he has beaten the who's who and he's getting – and he continues to get better.
01:59Like, to finish Sean O'Malley in his last fight prior to the Sanhagen one,
02:02that's super impressive.
02:03He just dominated him in that fight.
