00:03Today we take a closer look at the Skoda NAC RS Facelift, an elegant coupe variant in subtle gray.
00:12With the latest facelift, Skoda is also applying its updated design language to the sporty RS version of the NGA, both the classic SUV and the coupe.
00:20In this article, we will focus exclusively on the refreshed RS Coupe, which, in addition to visual changes inside and out, stands out above all for its proven technology.
00:34Even at first glance, the new coupe variant is distinguished by its revised front design, which follows the so-called modern solid philosophy.
00:42The classic stylized radiator grille is replaced by a high-gloss black element that now integrates the sensors for the assistance systems.
00:54The central Skoda lettering replaces the previous brand logo on the bonnet.
00:59The air intake in the front apron is now slightly larger.
01:02The new LED matrix headlights have been significantly reduced in size and consist of four smaller light modules in the upper section and two larger ones in the lower section on each side.
01:14At the rear, there are hardly any noticeable visual differences from the previous taillights.
01:20The turn signals come with animated displays as standard.
01:24A lighting system for entering or exiting is available, but only at an additional cost.
01:28The body has been further optimized for aerodynamics.
01:33The RS Coupe benefits particularly from this, as the drag coefficient drops to 0.239 in even better value than the SUV.
01:43Newly designed wheels with integrated wind deflectors also contribute to this result.
01:49The coupe rolls on 20-inch rims as standard.
01:5221-inch wheels are available as an option.
01:55Other typical features of the S-Class include black accents on the body, tinted windows in the molded area, and all the colors from the Skoda Octavia palette.
02:05The coupe, however, does not come in the striking mamba green paint finish, but in a subtle gray as shown here.
02:12Skoda has also upgraded the interior.
02:15Buyers of the RS Coupe can choose between two design lines.
02:18RS Lounge features a sporty combination of microfiber and synthetic leather with lime green contrast stitching,
02:26while RS Suit combines elegant genuine leather with synthetic leather and gray accents.
02:32Both variants feature carbon-look decorative strips.
02:36The sporty three-spoke steering wheel is covered in perforated leather and feels comfortable in the hand as standard.
02:41Behind it is a 5-inch display that shows the most important driving data.
02:49In the center of the cockpit sits a 13-inch touchscreen that controls all infotainment functions.
02:56The display includes specific RS graphics.
03:00Heated sport seats are standard in the front.
03:03The driver's seat is equipped with massage and memory functions.
03:07Those who want these functions for the front passenger seat must also book the so-called MAX package.
03:14The advanced package adds further comfort features,
03:17including a head-up display with augmented reality function and a Canton sound system with 12 speakers.
03:24Three-zone air conditioning, stainless steel pedals,
03:27four USB-C ports with up to 45 watts of charging power each,
03:32and an inductive smartphone charging cradle are available at no extra cost.
03:37Technically, the NAC RS Coupé retains the proven all-wheel drive system,
03:42which was introduced in the fall of 2023 with the AP50 engine.
03:48A motor on the front and rear axles delivers a combined system output of 340 horsepower.
03:54The front motor contributes 102 horsepower,
03:57while the rear motor delivers up to 286 horsepower.
04:01Maximum torque is 679 newton meters.
04:04The sporty Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds.
04:13The RS Coupé's battery has a gross capacity of 84 kilowatt hours,
04:17which, according to WRTP measurements,
04:20should be sufficient for a range of up to 570 kilometers.
04:24Fast charging with direct current is possible with up to 185 kilowatts.
04:29This allows the charge level to be increased from 10% to 80% within 26 minutes.
04:36The vehicle charges at standard AC charging stations with a power output of 11 kVA.
04:42A revised chassis ensures improved driving dynamics.
04:46The RS Coupé sits lower than the base model is standard.
04:51Progressive steering and newly configured driving modes
04:53are intended to enhance the sporty driving experience.
04:57The difference is particularly noticeable with the optional adaptive suspension,
05:01whose shock absorbers can be adjusted for stiffness in 15 stages.
05:06Skoda installs reinforced brakes with two piston calipers at the front.
05:11An artificially generated sporty engine sound can be activated via the infotainment system.
05:16A maximum towing capacity of 1,400 kilogram ensures practicality.
05:23The Travel Assist 2.6 is standard in the area of assistance systems.
05:28An intelligent parking assistant,
05:31which also enables remote-controlled parking maneuvers,
05:33can be added for an additional charge.
05:36The navigation system works with cloud-based swarm data,
05:40detects accident scenes, traffic jams, or slippery roads,
05:43and can automatically adjust or reroute the vehicle if necessary.
05:48It is not yet known when the revised RS Coupé will go on sale.
05:54Official prices have not yet been announced either.
05:58However, the facelift model is expected to be slightly more expensive than the previous version,
06:03which recently started at just over €63,000.
