0:00 Chrysler Halcyon Concept (deutsch)
3:24 Chrysler Halcyon Concept (englisch)

00:00The Chrysler-Herschen concept demonstrates the direction the American brand is headed in electric mobility.
00:10As a sporty technology showcase, it is more than just a design statement.
00:15It embodies Chrysler's future direction as a fully electric brand.
00:20The first production electric car is scheduled to follow as early as 2025, and a fully electric model portfolio is planned for 2028.
00:28The Herschen is based on the company's STLA large platform, but also combines technologies such as STLA Brain, STL Smart Cockpit, and Stella Autopilot.
00:39The focus is not only on performance, but above all on battery technology, wireless charging, and highly autonomous driving functions.
00:48Visually, the Herschen presents a low, streamlined appearance with a striking front end featuring a wraparound LED strip.
00:54The windshield begins extremely low and extends seamlessly in a curve to the rear, which is emphasized by a red LED light line.
01:04Instead of conventional doors, there are counter-opening wings without a B-pillar, as well as additional door elements in the roof area that pivot upwards.
01:13This makes access to the interior particularly barrier-free.
01:16Large air vents, rising body lines, and 22-inch turbine-style alloy wheels underscore the car's sporty appeal.
01:27Conventional exterior mirrors have been replaced with rear-view cameras.
01:32A movable rear diffuser, a variable spoiler, and height-adjustable air suspension ensure improved aerodynamics.
01:40Inside, the Herschen accommodates up to four people on floating individual seats.
01:45The rear seats can be lowered into the floor if necessary.
01:50Near-too-large surfaces are made from 95% sustainable materials such as recycled plastic or wood.
01:57The cockpit itself is digitally unobtrusive.
02:01There are no visible displays or buttons.
02:04The flat-bottomed steering wheel operates in autonomous driving mode.
02:07Chrysler has fully integrated Level 4 driving functionality here.
02:11Pedals disappear into the vehicle floor.
02:12Information is projected onto a transparent display strip across the dashboard or reflected directly onto the windshield using augmented reality.
02:22The central 15.6-inch screen in the center console can be used portrait or landscape, or completely retracted.
02:32In this case, a combination of voice control and artificial intelligence takes over.
02:38Updates and services are installed wirelessly, including automatic recognition and personalized profiles for all passengers.
02:46Technically, Chrysler has relied on an 800-volt architecture for the Helschen and a lithium-sulfur battery from Leiden that does not require nickel, cobalt, or manganese.
02:58Exact performance data is not yet known.
03:00The highlight, however, is the charging technology.
03:03Thanks to inductive charging coils in the road, the vehicle can also absorb energy while driving, at least where the infrastructure is accordingly prepared.
03:13In theory, this offers a virtually unlimited range.
03:16Was the information on the Chrysler Hell concept interesting?
03:20Then please subscribe.
03:27Uh, I have always dreamed of being a car designer.
03:33I'm funny enough not really consider myself an artist.
03:37I think that art is the tool that a designer uses to convey his message to bring thought and feeling to a design.
03:43I got to be an intern and I worked on some RAM production stuff and then for Dodge I did an interior theme for a sports car.
03:54The Helschen has been a dream come true.
03:56That's really the beauty of working here at Stantis is that I was a seat designer and when projects like this come up,
04:02it's open to the whole studio and really it just opened a whole bunch of doors and just became a, you know, project of a lifetime.
04:08The interior theme was kind of based around this idea of like a cabin in the woods and just being able to really bring the outside in.
04:18And so the giant glass window was something I had very early on.
04:23I appreciate that no two days are ever alike.
04:25There's always a new problem to solve and a new thing to accomplish.
04:28And watching some of my colleagues that have been in the industry for 20, 30, 40 years and they still have such a passion for it,
04:36it just gets me excited about the future of my career.
04:40Here design is absolutely one of the most interesting things that you can put your skills to.
04:45Anyone who loves problem solving, loves artistry, loves being a part of a community, like this is the place to be.
04:56If you're not looking at it, please do because there is so much more to it than what you think
05:01and it's just so much more rewarding to see that talent go to something that really does impact people.
05:05And I'll see you next time.
