Der neue MG4 EV steht in den Startlöchern – und kommt mit spürbaren Verbesserungen. SAIC Motor bringt im September ein überarbeitetes Modell des beliebten elektrischen Hatchbacks auf den chinesischen Markt. Bereits ab dem 5. August soll das Fahrzeug vorbestellbar sein.
Die Optik wird durch den neuen Farbton Donglai Purple aufgewertet, der im Sonnenlicht metallisch glänzt und aus anderen Winkeln eine perlige Note zeigt. Innen erwartet Käufer ein reduziertes Cockpit mit schwebendem Touchscreen, digitalem Tacho und einem neuen Zwei-Speichen-Lenkrad. Dank Oppo-System sind Smartphone-Integration, KI-Assistenz und Gestensteuerung an Bord.
Weitere Highlights: elektronische Gangwahl an der Lenksäule, kabelloses Laden, beheiz- und belüftbare Sitze sowie zahlreiche physische Bedienelemente in Metalloptik. Unterstützt wird auch ein L2+ Assistenzpaket mit Autopilot für Autobahnen.
Technisch setzt der MG4 auf einen 120 kW starken Motor an der Hinterachse. Die Maße wachsen auf 4,4 m Länge, 1,8 m Breite und 1,6 m Höhe, der Radstand beträgt 2,8 m – das bedeutet mehr Platz für Insassen und Gepäck. Es wird spekuliert, dass eine neue semi-feste Batterie Reichweiten von bis zu 800 km nach CLTC ermöglichen könnte.
