00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today we're talking about the new Hongqi Gua, a bold challenger to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class,
00:10which, with its striking design and advanced hybrid drive, represents a serious alternative
00:15in the luxury sedan segment. Also known as the Hongqi L1, the Ghia is a Chinese flagship that
00:23stands out both for its exterior appearance and its technical sophistication. The model is offered
00:29by F Hongqi and is available in two hybrid variants, a 3-liter turbocharged engine with
00:35hybrid technology that delivers around 390 horsepower, and a more powerful 4-liter variant
00:40with around 490 horsepower. Both versions use ternary lithium batteries, demonstrating that
00:47the Gua is up there with the pack in terms of performance and future viability. The exterior
00:52is particularly striking and clearly sets it apart from its German counterpart. A massive radiator
00:58grille with vertical chrome bars, a red accent stripe along the hood, and a stand-up emblem
01:04ensure a confident front end. The side view is long and elegant, emphasized by striking chrome
01:12applications and red design elements that recall the brand's heritage. The rear is adorned with
01:19vertical taillights with a wing effect, Chinese characters, and twin exhaust tailpipes, underscoring
01:25its claim to be a luxury sedan. In terms of numbers, the Ghia towers over the S-Class with a length of 5,353
01:35millimeters and a wheelbase of 3,260 millimeters, which is particularly noticeable in the space available
01:42for the passengers. It is available as a five-seater or a luxurious four-seater. The latter version features
01:51independently adjustable rear seats with massage, heating, and ventilation functions. Inside,
01:57the Honcha Goya takes a different approach than many Western luxury sedans. Instead of minimalist
02:03high-tech, the focus is on a combination of traditional craftsmanship and luxurious materials.
02:09Wood trim, two-tone leather, and a floating analog clock above the center console characterize the look.
02:16The steering wheel is particularly striking with a golden sunflower logo in the center and a twisted
02:24double-spoke design. This is less about gimmicks and more about creating an individual, detailed
02:31ambience. Even though the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is still considered the epitome of prestige,
02:37the Honcha Goya is an alternative interpretation of luxury, based on Chinese culture, independence,
02:43and innovative hybrid technology. While the model may lack global recognition to date,
02:50anyone looking for something different from the usual standards should pay attention to this vehicle.
02:56As always, you'll find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
