00:00Objectively, you can drink wine out of just about anything.
00:02A shoe, a box, you know, take your back.
00:05But not all wine glasses are created equal,
00:07and to really level up your wine drinking experience,
00:10pair your wine with your glass.
00:12This one is technically what we call a universal glass,
00:15which is a glass that's kind of created to fit
00:18with any style of wine.
00:19But this one, in contrast.
00:21This one is actually mint for red wine.
00:22This is mint for lighter red wine.
00:23It's got a very wide bowl.
00:25It's gonna intensify the aromatics.
00:26More oxygen coming into contact with the wine,
00:29which really opens up the wine,
00:30which is really great for reds.
00:31Now, you hate flutes.
00:33I hate champagne flutes.
00:35Or you think this or this?
00:36Get it out of here.
00:37But I don't mind specialty glassware for sparkling wine
00:41if it's not a champagne flute.
00:43For instance, specifically designed for champagnes,
00:45it has this incredibly narrow base
00:48where the bubbles kind of trickle up
00:50the way they do in a flute,
00:51but it's wider so you get the aromatics of a good champagne.
00:54Which is the challenge of a flute.
00:55You can't really smell anything in that super narrow flute,
00:58whereas this, you get a little bit of focus.
01:00Lastly, you can feel it.
01:02It's heavier, it's a lot more durable.
01:04You can go like that, and it's not gonna break.
01:07It holds wine, it works well.
01:08Do you necessarily need to spend a ton of money on a glass?
01:11No, but it does change the wine experience.
01:13And if you're drinking a really nice wine,
01:15it's nice to have a really good glass.
01:16If you want a better wine drinking experience,
01:19think about swapping this for this.
