00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog about the Nissan R3 EV.
00:05You can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
00:10The Nissan R32 EV is a fascinating electric interpretation of the classic Skyline GTR R32,
00:17which Nissan presented at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
00:21The vehicle, a one-off model, is based on the GTR 2,
00:25which was originally introduced in 1989 and combines the iconic looks of the original with
00:31modern electric mobility. However, there is much more under the gun gray metallic paintwork than
00:37meets the eye. Instead of the original 2.6L twin-turbo pure six-cylinder, Nissan has installed
00:45two electric motors, each producing 218 horsepower and 340 newm of torque. This results in a total
00:53output of around 435 horsepower and 680 newm. Compared to the original, which had 280 horsepower
01:01and 353 newtonim of torque, this is a significant increase. Nevertheless, the engineer's goal was
01:08to preserve the driving dynamics of the original, as the new technology makes the electric car around
01:13367 kilograms heavier. To achieve this, the performance was specifically tuned to achieve
01:19a similar torque-to-weight ratio. The Nissan R32 IV is equipped with a 62-kilowatt-hour battery pack
01:28from a Leaf Nismo race car. To make room for it, the rear seat was removed. However, Nissan has not
01:36provided any range figures. The vehicle's new dual-motor all-wheel drive system responds more quickly and
01:42distributes torque more precisely between the front and rear axles than the mechanical system of the
01:47original. The chassis and suspension have also been revised. The R32 EEV features Nismo Sport
01:54suspension with oil-filled dampers and an improved braking system adopted from the current R35
01:59generation. The larger brake discs and calipers necessitated a change from the original 16-inch
02:07wheels to 18-inch rims, which are designed in the style of the factory wheels. The interior remained
02:14largely true to the original. However, the standard seats were replaced with bespoke Recaros.
02:21In addition, the instruments and audio system received a modern overhaul with high-resolution digital
02:28displays that still retain the classic design.
02:30An interesting addition is the programmed paddle shift functionality, which mimics the feel of
02:38changing gears in a mechanical transmission, including the brief jolt that occurs when the
02:42clutch is engaged and the gear shift is engaged. A speaker in the interior even mimics the sound of
02:49the original RB260 engine. This project, carried out as a labor of love by a small group of Nissan employees,
02:58aims to preserve the R32 for decades to come.
03:01Project leader Ryo Hiraku explained that the electrification of the model is intended to ensure
03:09that it can still be driven in 2055 or later, regardless of whether gasoline is still available.
03:15The aim was to use modern technology to preserve the unique character of the R32 GT-R for future
03:22generations. Was the information on the Nissan A32 EV interesting? Then please subscribe.
03:45for two years.
03:46For the next few years, please take care of the представited command.
03:56And a short-term support is determined in the new version of the R32 GT-R.
04:01With a transfer to the standardization of the R32 GT-R, it's a very important option.
04:07The current model is for the first generation, and the same model, and the other generation of the
