00:00Let's run through it here. Great game last night for the two young kids, Cade Cunningham and Pablo Bencaro, but it was the Pistons beating the Magic 135-116. Detroit sort of picking up a little bit where they left off at home, blowing out the Magic with a 30-10-6 performance from Cade Cunningham.
00:21And on the flip side, obviously, the Magic are not off to the start that they want to get off to. We'll start there. Yeah, I'll start with the Pistons first, because, you know, this is a Piston team that is basically picking up where they left off a season ago.
00:34They had their heart broken in game six against the New York Knicks. It was a back and forth battle. It was probably the best series of the first round of the playoffs last summer or last rather spring, calling summer spring.
00:46And, you know, the Pistons are taking those lessons they learned, and they're figuring out how to win in the regular season so they can position themselves to be better suited to go deeper into the postseason.
00:58That's their goal, right? Make the second round, try to get beyond that. On the flip side, Orlando should be in the same spot. They actually got better in the offseason, right?
01:06They added a Desmond Bain, who, you know, maybe you could say he was a little overrated in Memphis, but I think he's properly rated as probably your third best player on a team.
01:15And that's a really good third best player on a team, because borderline all-star when he's hitting his peaks. Great jump shooter, can defend.
01:22Orlando needed someone to kind of space the floor for Paolo and friends and kind of free up that offense a little bit more.
01:28And he can defend on the other end so you don't lose anything there.
01:30They haven't been able to gel yet. I had Orlando as a team that I think their win total was about 52 and a half.
01:37I had them going over that. I'm a little bit worried about that now, because the way they started the season, they depend a lot on Jalen Suggs, who's already started to miss games.
01:46It's already been a week in the season. He's kind of in and out of the lineup.
01:49We know his injury history, and they depend a lot on him.
01:53I don't know that, you know, I could put all my eggs in that Orlando basket if that's the case.
01:57If Jalen Suggs is really who I'm hoping is going to be a top-tier player for that team to be able to go over that 52-win total,
02:04then I'll be upset, and I'll probably lose that money that I laid on the line last week going into the season.
02:09So disappointed in Orlando, pleasantly surprised with Detroit.
02:12Orlando needs to figure things out, and they need to figure it out really quickly.
