00:27for the detroit pistons total this game low of course to 11 and a half it's close out time for
00:32the magic or do the pistons rise up at home and say nope we're sending this bad boy back to
00:37disney
00:38joe what's the spread line for the magic and the pistons listen it's very hard for me to wrap my
00:44head around the idea that the magic are going to lose game five by double digits against this offense
00:51of the pistons uh it's quite obvious donnie that orlando uh defensively is set up and is it's just
00:59a terrible matchup for the pistons who have no real three-point shooter and outside of cade cunningham
01:05can't generate any offense they're being out rebounded they're being pushed around uh this is
01:11a problem now franz wagner is injured uh here he did hurt his calf towards the end of game four
01:18he hasn't been ruled out yet but you'd watch that status because he's obviously a big part
01:25of what the magic do i say to heck with the side donnie there this is a first one to
01:30100 wins 105 at
01:32that there is no way i'm looking at overs in this series given what we've seen offensively from these
01:39two teams pistons are really bad right now in the series they're down three to one they're getting
01:45hammered on the night-to-night basis they're favored by nine and a half and only about 20
01:50percent of the public betting those detroit pistons show hmm this might appear in about an hour and a
01:56half here we get the bye bye bye let's keep it moving people toronto cleveland two two series back

02:53on the road right i anticipate the calves will probably make it look rather easily only then to look gross

03:05because at this point i don't trust either offense to score enough to get us anywhere close to either
03:12a cover or an over here let's get over to the houston rockets taking on the los angeles lakers as

03:18back to la the la lakers looking to close out the houston rockets kevin durant not expected to play
03:23once again tonight but austin reeves for the lakers joe game time decision expected to play here
03:29we take a look at these lines opening up around that two and a half frame now we're seeing the
03:33graphic at minus four and a half as a favorite towards the lakers at home lowest total on the
03:38board tonight 208 and a half rockets lakers joe what's the spread line out west well good news
03:46right reeves is uh if he does go the question is how healthy is he going to be we already

05:11sudden he's out there and so you know dragging the sixers into another game with the celtics here
05:17impressive stuff but we mentioned it yesterday donnie history tells us you know what happens when
05:22boston plays their food what happens the next game yeah this could be interesting yeah and by the way
05:29who would have told me before this year's okay by the way the sixers were already we had two road
05:33wins in boston i said you know what they probably won the series still not looking good for them but
05:37a chance at home to get to a game number seven here by the way big game in the garden

05:42brunson was fantastic let's get some post-game clips here to go from the two one-point losses to
05:48these two pretty decisive victories just what does it tell you about your team's response to adversity
05:54you know they're they're they're resilient and we we talked about it throughout the course of the year
05:59you know you got to go through some adversity throughout the course of the year to see what you're
06:03made of as a group see how you're going to respond and you know you just got to keep fighting

06:11our guys have been through a lot so far this year uh and they continue to go through it but

06:31um well you know they they did what they were supposed to do um protecting home court
06:39and we were never their defense um never really let us establish you know consistently how we need to
06:53play to beat them um and we have to be more committed um to to it's really like imposing your

07:05quinn snyder looked like he's going through it a little bit right there it is what it is in the
07:09nba high pressure playoff scenarios but the one thing that you do like joe is you want to have your
07:13best players available here well minnesota anthony edwards down a minimum joe of two weeks ouch
07:20yeah i mean it was not good at all i mean listen if they can get past denver which is
07:27unlikely but if they can i mean they do have a three game to two uh edge here heading back

07:33if they can somehow uh watch denver shoot themselves in the foot he could very well be back for the

07:39round donnie so that's good news for minnesota the problem is can you weather this storm i it's going

09:11things we've seen from a utah or a washington but it's still going to be bad i've said to you

09:19would just do what the nfl does stop this lottery nonsense allow teams to when they are when they are
09:26bad just be awful like we do the nfl mock drafts everyone loves them we bet the nfl draft everyone

09:34it we're like three weeks away from finding out the nba draft order nobody knows what it is
09:40but really if this is where we are and this is how worried you are about everything just get rid

09:54think i think they're fun but if this is just get rid of the draft get rid of it and

10:26the last week of the regular season you're gonna have that group of teams that were tanking all
10:32year trying to win games just so they can elevate themselves and get three ping pong balls it's the
10:37stupidest thing i've ever heard kev but they created this monster by making how else are you supposed to
10:43rebuild the team with these salary cap rules now how else are you supposed to do it other than through
10:48the draft no that that is the thing like people get frustrated and then you look at as you mentioned
10:57oklahoma city and san antonio where listen there were also some you know smart moves made along the
11:06way i'm not saying that there weren't but the oklahoma sga spent his first what three or four seasons
11:14and okc is the most injury prone player in basketball he's fine right like it's amazing how
11:21that works right i just it's it totally totally misses the mark and it's it's i don't know it's a
11:32little like scary to see because it honestly does feel like their solutions are going to be
11:36the worst case scenario of them keeping it the way it is people like donnie say the
11:44nba regular season is terrible but who cares you got no one's watching wizards basketball anyway
11:49nobody's watching the jazz anyway so now you're just going to throw other things in complete disarray
11:56where then in the lottery you end up with the warriors winning it and you're like oh whoops
12:03or is that what they want like that that's what i don't understand let me ask you a question on

12:10kevin because like the the way the sport is structured sometimes doesn't make sense like
12:14hey if i don't vote you on a all nba team you can't make enough money it's like well that
12:18doesn't make
12:18any sense like maybe my value is higher but also always think about like in the nfl if you are
12:23from patrick mahomes is a free agent and let's just say the miami dolphins go we will pay you more
12:27money than anybody's ever paid you in kansas is like hey we got cap restraints we can't do it you
12:32know mahomes goes to the miami dolphins the nba has this max contract structure which means
12:37once we get that level nobody can offer more so i was talking to joe earlier saying well
12:42if that means that i can go to los angeles or go to milwaukee the same money everybody's going to
12:47choose la at this point which favors those franchises but if la is like we can offer lebron
12:52james 50 and the warriors or excuse me the uh milwaukee is like we can give him 85 well then
12:57he's
12:58going to go there like why do we have these cap restraints on saying you can only make a certain
13:01amount of money and it sort of locks you into saying like well six teams can offer the same amount
13:06it would be different kevin if one team could offer way more than those teams yeah but also
13:10we have a league that thought they needed to put restrictions in that way small markets could
13:15compete and now you've got a dynasty building in oak la homa city that may have to get blown up
13:22because of these same stupid cap restrictions and aprons and all this other nonsense that they've
13:27created so that that's another issue but apparently is this league who's so concerned by the way
13:34how about the nba i saw someone mention this was a great point the nba playoffs i think have been
13:40pretty good for the most part and i understand why we just did 80 percent if not this entire segment
13:47talking about basically the wizard jazz and nets because this league thinks that should be a topic
13:54of conversation right now if you want to fix a problem shrink the schedule so we stop losing superstars
14:02every single round it's great it's so poorly ran right now
14:10yeah well look all right speaking of poor uh detroit has to try to stay off uh elimination here uh
14:17tonight i and i just i can we trust from what you've seen can we trust them to win by
14:23double digits
14:24so what's interesting is i don't think franz wagner plays could be wrong but i feel like calf strains
14:35in the nba today are the most day i feel like donny they're even worse than the hamstring just because
14:40it's like no this might ruin my career if i play on a bad calf and it's nine and a
14:45half if you think
14:47about earlier on in this series these numbers were about eight and a half nine uh nine and a half
14:52so
14:53it says to me that the books wanted to adjust this number based off what they've seen but now with
14:59the
14:59franz injury desperate detroit we've kind of pushed this number back up but this is also a magic team
15:08who have played a lot of basketball without franz wagner this season by the way quickly kevin rockets

17:31happening either why detroit to win this game outright joe currently at a 76 chance the contract
17:37to the yes is at 77 cents which means a 100 investment on the pistons just winning this game
17:43pays back 130 if you feel the pistons can win this game roughly by double digits that's currently
17:48trading at 48 cents which means a hundred dollar investment pays back 209 backs against the wall
17:54in motown pistons and the magic tonight joe so a lot is going to be made about whether franz wagner
18:01can play or not play but quite honestly franz wagner's got absolutely nothing to do with what the magic are
18:08doing defensively to disrupt jalen duran and his uh pick and roll partner here cade cunningham because
18:16there is a reason why the turnovers are through the roof there is a reason why jalen duran can't get
18:23out of his own way uh because he can't get easy dunks they are basically the magic throwing everything
18:29they have to disrupt duran and it's quite obvious that cade cunningham in detroit has no answer for what
18:37to do here so uh you know as much as i want to look at a side i i'm not
18:42comfortable laying that many
18:43points donnie here but i am comfortable it feels like in looking at maybe an under because some
18:50things are not going to change the offense of detroit is still bad and the magic got a little
18:55worse offensively if wagner doesn't go so yeah to me i i think the unders across the board and fading
19:03jalen duran's point prop is the way to look big time players got to step up in big time games
19:10we're talking about uk cunningham 30 plus points tonight on the calci marketplace show that 100

20:50the lakers late night tonight 10 o'clock start in la los angeles wins they move on at the rockets
20:55wins they extend this series they won't have kevin durant tonight but the bigger question for the
20:58lakers is game time decision great show here on the network 6 to 7 p.m but also understand that
21:04austin reeves expected to be back in the lineup we'll find out a little bit later today if we're
21:09looking at the calci marketplace a 62 chance joe that los angeles is going to win this game outright
21:15which a hundred dollar investment would pay back 159 if you feel the lakers can win by four plus
