00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Bog about the Mazda EZ60.
00:05The brand new, stylish electric SUV coupe from Mazda, which is scheduled to come onto the market in 2026.
00:13The EZ60 is the production version of the ARID concept vehicle and is clearly aimed at competitors such as the Tesla Model Y and the BY Don 7.
00:22The vehicle was developed in cooperation with the Chinese manufacturer Schengen.
00:26The Mazda EZ60 is the second model in the EZ series after the EZ6 sedan.
00:34It uses the same platform and is produced in China.
00:38There will be two variants, a purely electric version and a range extender version with a 1.5L gasoline engine as a generator, which is intended exclusively for the Chinese market.
00:48Visually, the EZ60 remains true to the concept, metallic purple paint, a black contrasting roof, L-shaped LED taillights and a striking flying wing C-pillar design.
01:03A technical highlight is the camera system instead of exterior mirrors, which is rarely seen in production vehicles.
01:09Although it was initially assumed that the EZ60 was based on the DePAL S05-S07 platform, there are many indications that its technology will be more closely aligned with the high-end Avatar Note 7, including modern camera technology.
01:25Inside, the EZ60 features a technology-focused, minimalist cockpit with a wide display cluster across the entire dashboard, including a separate display for the front passenger.
01:39This layout appears significantly more modern than that of the EZ6i.
01:43Although Mazda has not yet confirmed the final technical specifications, the following specifications are considered very likely.
01:51The standard version has an electric motor on the rear axle with 54 horsepower and 320 Nm, powered by a 68.8 kW LFP battery.
02:02The range for the C4 is 79 kilometers.
02:04The more powerful version comes with 242 horsepower, an 80 kNm-c battery, and a range of up to 552 kilometers.
02:14The EZ60 model name remains exclusive to China.
02:18For the international market, including Europe, the vehicle will be released under the name CX-6E.
02:24The relevant trademark rights have already been secured.
02:29Mazda is thus demonstrating clear ambitions for global marketing.
02:32The official presentation of the EZ60 is scheduled for the end of April at Auto Shanghai 2025, where manufacturers from all over the world will be showcasing their latest electric vehicles.
