00:03Today we're talking about the revised facelift of the Volvo S90,
00:07which was relaunched specifically for the Chinese market.
00:11Although the model has already been discontinued in Europe, the USA,
00:15and many other parts of the world and will be replaced by the ES90 in March 2025,
00:21the S90 will remain in the lineup in China and neighboring Asian markets.
00:25For those who don't yet want to go fully electric,
00:31Volvo has now given the sedan a significant update,
00:34which will be presented to the public for the first time at the Shanghai Auto Show.
00:40Visually, the new old suite is more closely aligned with Volvo's current electric models.
00:46Striking features include the TORS hammer-style LED headlights,
00:50a redesigned radiator grille, and a modified front apron.
00:55At the rear, the license plate has been relocated to the newly contoured trunk lid,
01:00which, together with the revised rear apron, creates a fresh overall appearance.
01:05The taillights also feature the same style as the front.
01:08A lot has changed, especially in the interior.
01:11The entire cockpit is now taken from the XC90SUV model.
01:15The focal point is a new, freestanding center display with a screen diagonal of 11.2 inches.
01:22The infotainment system is based on Android,
01:27can be controlled by voice, and supports over-the-air updates.
01:32Decorative elements made from high-quality recycled materials give the interior a more textured surface,
01:39as well as new vertically arranged air vents in the dashboard.
01:42The digital instrument cluster and optimized seats for greater comfort have also been adopted.
01:49The engine, however, has not changed.
01:53The Volvo S90 will continue to be offered as a T8 Recharge AD plug-in hybrid with all-wheel drive.
02:00This variant produces 455 horsepower and offers a purely electric range of approximately 90 kilometers.
02:06The mild hybrid version with a four-cylinder turbo-gasoline engine and front-wheel drive
02:13with an output of 250 horsepower will also remain available.
02:17The S90 is produced exclusively at the Chinese Volvo plant in Dingshing,
02:22from where it is also exported to neighboring Asian markets.
02:25Volvo has not yet announced prices.
