Subaru hat auf der New York Auto Show den komplett neuen Trailseeker vorgestellt – ein rein elektrischer SUV mit 375 PS, Allrad und 420 km Reichweite. Der Trailseeker ist kein Toyota-Ableger, sondern ein eigenes Modell von Subaru und bietet mehr Platz, mehr Bodenfreiheit und echte Offroad-Fähigkeiten.

Mit 74,7 kWh Batterie, 150 kW Ladeleistung und praktischen Features wie einer 120-Volt-Steckdose sowie Fahrmodi für Schnee und Schlamm ist der neue Stromer ideal für Abenteuer – ob auf der Straße oder abseits davon. Ob der Trailseeker nach Europa kommt, ist noch offen.

00:03Today we're talking about the brand new Subaru Trail Seeker,
00:07an exciting new all-wheel drive electric vehicle that was presented for the first time at the New York International Auto Show.
00:15Unlike Subaru's only electric model to date, the Solterra,
00:19the Trail Seeker is not a rebadged Toyota model, but a completely new development directly from Subaru.
00:25With a length of around 4.8 meters, the Trail Seeker is around 15 centimeters longer than the Solterra,
00:33and at around 1.7 meters, it's also around 3 centimeters higher.
00:38The ground clearance is an impressive 21 centimeters,
00:42which makes it suitable for off-road use and is further emphasized by the standard roof rails and a 120-volt socket in the trunk.
00:50The latter allows external devices to be powered directly on the vehicle.
00:55Visually, the Trail Seeker is modern and striking with a new lighting signature,
01:00an illuminated brand logo, and illuminated Subaru lettering on the rear.
01:05The wide, continuous light bar at the rear is also eye-catching.
01:10The Trail Seeker is offered with 18 or 20-inch rims.
01:14The interior features a steering wheel with flattened top and bottom sections,
01:18as well as a high-mounted instrument display.
01:21The dominant element in the center is a 14-inch touchscreen in landscape format.
01:27This is the largest screen Subaru has ever installed in a model.
01:31The transmission mode is selected via a rotary dial in the high center console.
01:36High-quality metallic accents round off the interior's visual appeal.
01:39The Trail Seeker is powered by an all-wheel drive system with around 375 horsepower,
01:46fed by a 74.7-cowatt-hour battery.
01:50According to the American EPA standard, this should achieve a range of over 420 kilometers.
01:56The sprint to 100 kilometers per hour is achieved in around 4.4 seconds.
02:01For off-road driving, the Trail Seeker is equipped with various driving modes such as snow and dirt,
02:08deep snow and mud, as well as grip control and downhill assist control.
02:14The towing capacity is around 1 tonne 600.
02:18Battery preconditioning ensures that the vehicle can be charged quickly at all temperatures.
02:22Charging is via the Tesla connector, which is now standard in North America
02:29and can supply direct current at up to 150 kilowatts.
02:34The new Trail Seeker is scheduled to launch in the USA in 2026.
02:39Prices have not yet been announced but will be announced shortly before the market launch.
02:46Whether the vehicle will also be available in Europe and thus in Germany is currently unclear.
