Der legendäre Ford Escort MK II feiert mit dem MST Cars MK2 Evo-X ein episches Comeback! Das britische Unternehmen MST Cars bringt die Motorsport-Ikone als brandneues Restomod-Fahrzeug zurück auf die Straße. Basierend auf einem Gruppe-4-Rallye-Auto bekommt der Escort eine handgefertigte Karosserie, Carbon-Anbauteile und eine Top-Performance.

Unter der Haube werkelt standardmäßig ein 2,5-Liter-Duratec-Motor mit über 200 PS. Wer mehr Power will, kann sich für den 2,8-Liter-Millington-Diamond-Motor mit 360 PS entscheiden. Dazu gibt es ein Sperrdifferential, AP-Bremsen und ein Fahrwerk mit Abstimmung von Rallye-Legende Colin McRae. Das Beste: Der MK2 Evo-X hat eine Straßenzulassung – zumindest in Großbritannien.

00:39What makes the vehicle special is that they are based on a Group 4 rally car and have been rebuilt from the ground up.
00:47The bodywork is handcrafted in Great Britain, while add-on parts such as the mudguards and spoiler are made of carbon.
00:53The production model of the Mk2 is powered by a Duratec 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2.5 liters and an output of over 200 horsepower.
01:03The torque is transferred to the road via a close-ratio manual transmission and an Atlas axle with a limited slip differential.
01:10A Millington Diamond engine with a displacement of 2.8 liters and around 360 horsepower is also available as an option.
