00:00I'm pretty confident that this year will be a better year for M&A than last year and 26 will
00:05be a better year than 25. So this is a good time to add world class talent. Can you quantify what
00:13your base case is for global M&A for 2025 and then 2026? Well this year the interesting thing
00:18is that the dollar volume of activity is up about 20-25 percent maybe almost 30 percent at this
00:24point with the announcements this morning. The number of transactions is actually down. So what's
00:31happening is that larger transactions are back on the front burner. I would expect that next year
00:40would be another strong year better than this year and if you look back over you know since 1980
00:47the dollar volume of M&A it's a secular growth business. It grows with global market cap which
00:56makes sense but it's a cyclical business and it tends to be two to three down years and five to eight
01:03up years. So we had 22, 23, 24 were kind of down to flattish and so I think we're really at the
01:11beginning of a multi-year positive cycle in M&A.
