00:00If you visit the White House anytime soon, you probably won't see the official portraits
00:05of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, or his father.
00:12That's because President Trump has moved them out of prominent display, relocating them to
00:18the Grand Staircase, an area only used by the first family and staff. The move was first
00:25reported by CNN. Obama's portrait, once front and center, now hangs in a corner at the top of
00:31the stairs, with both Bush portraits nearby. The reason is unclear. White House tradition puts the
00:38most recent president in prime locations. But earlier this year, Obama's painting was already
00:44replaced in the Grand Foyer with a photo of Trump after he survived an assassination attempt in
00:50Butler, Pennsylvania. Neither Obama's spokesperson nor the White House has commented on the latest
00:56report. The move comes amid rising tensions between Trump and Obama, with the Trump administration
01:03accusing Obama-era officials of fabricating evidence of Russian interference in the 2016 election,
01:10claims Obama has called bizarre and a weak attempt at distraction. Trump has also clashed with George
01:17H.H.W. Bush, who said he voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and criticized Trump in a biography before
01:24dying in 2018. George W. Bush and Laura Bush did, however, attend Trump's inauguration. For more on this
