00:11Police shot and killed a knife-wielding maniac attacking perfect strangers in Times Square.
00:17Two people are dead and another injured. Horrifying footage of the incident shows the
00:21tense moment NYPD officers confront a woman wildly brandishing two large sharp knives.
00:27That's 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros. She's instructed to drop the knives several times
00:33and refuses, saying, quote, I would rather kill both of you. I will kill you. She then
00:38charges, weapons in hand, haphazardly toward the police. Officers discharge their tasers,
00:44but Cisneros doesn't go down, and it's there that two of them fire off shots, ultimately
00:49killing her. This all went down after Cisneros, a Queens native, sent tourists running for
00:54their lives when she pulled knives out from a target bag and started stabbing people at random.
01:00A 68-year-old man was stabbed while coming out of the subway. Then a block north, 32-year-old
01:05Bank of America exec Aaron Piacente was stabbed in the abdomen and killed. NYPD Commissioner
01:11Jessica Tish defended the officers, praising their quick actions.
01:14Our officers were confronted with a rapidly evolving threat with countless innocent people
01:20around them. In that moment, they did what we trained them to do.
01:26Pamela's brother Patrick told The Post that the mother of three suffered from mental health
01:29issues, but had never been aggressive or violent.
01:32So there was no sign, so only last week she stopped coming to see my mother. And then,
01:38so we called and she said she was fine on the side of it. Last night watching the news like
01:42I always do. I hear what happened, the typical New York crap, always somebody getting stabbed
01:48because I've been to health. And I don't believe it was my sister.
01:52Police are still investigating a possible motive.
