00:00Have you ever bought a plane ticket with a window seat only to end up sitting next to a wall with
00:05no window at all? Well, you're not alone. Two class action lawsuits accuse Delta and United
00:10of giving flyers windowless window seats. Each lawsuit accuses the airlines of misleading
00:17practices, charging customers to upgrade to a window seat, then having them sit next to a wall.
00:24The suits say neither airline identifies windowless window seats during the flight booking process.
00:29Each lawsuit contains pictures from inside airplanes paired with screen grabs from the
00:34airline's website. Straight Arrow News spoke with Casey O'Brantz, a founding partner at the law firm
00:40which filed the suit. We have received a flood of interest from passengers who feel they have been
00:45harmed by this practice and who wish to join the lawsuits. It makes sense that people are upset.
00:50The majority of Americans fly on one of these airlines at some point and a large proportion
00:55of them want or need a window and they pay good money for the privilege.
00:59O'Brantz said the goal is to recover the value of extra money or benefits that passengers paid
01:04to upgrade to a window seat. Straight Arrow News reached out to both United and Delta and a
01:09representative with United said the company doesn't comment on pending litigation while Delta did not
01:14respond. For Straight Arrow News, I'm Lauren Keenan. For more unbiased straight facts, download the
