00:53And his approach with runners on base and the way he's being attacked,

00:58he is killing them offensively.

01:01Their numbers with runners on base and runners in scoring position

01:05and moving runners over have been terrible.

01:08And the guy at the core of that, more than anyone else,

01:11is Volpe hitting sixth often.

01:14To me, he's got to hit ninth.

01:17And this is, again, in the messaging.

01:19Hey, man, hit ninth.

01:22Field the hell out of shortstop.

01:25Play a more little ball game when it calls for it.

01:30Turn the lineup over.

01:32One thing he's done well this year, highest walk rate of his career.

01:36Walk.

01:36Let's get back to the top of the lineup.

01:38We're closer to judge.

01:40Get on base.

01:41Cause problems.

01:42And so, to me, I would try to de-emphasize his place in the lineup

01:47to see if I could kind of calm him down

01:49and get a better all-around version of him.

01:52Because this guy, the ball is finding him

01:56and the bat is finding him at the worst times.

01:59Like, the Alonzo play is a tough play.

02:03But it's, I get it.

02:05But that ball can't get to the outfield.

02:07Like, somehow that ball has to be stopped.

02:09And it's like 110, 112, whatever it was with backs.

02:14That's not an easy play.

02:16But it's a major league play.

02:19And his throws haven't been great recently.
