00:05I wasn't sold on Jackson Dart when Joe Shane and Brian Dable traded back into the first

00:10round to grab him, but now, after watching this kid's development and his moxie from

00:16rookie camp through training camp and the entire preseason, I've already went on my

00:20Robin Hood app and bought Jackson Dart stock, but I want it and him to sit for a bit because

00:28it's been nothing but an uptrend when watching this kid's stock rise.

00:33Buy low, sell high.

00:3532 of 47 for 372 yards, three tutties and no INTs plus 47 rushing yards and one rushing TD

00:43in three preseason games, y'all.

00:45This kid has it.

00:47He's got the aura.

00:48He's got the riz or whatever cool word the Gen Zers are using to describe what we millennials

00:53used to call swag.

00:54I just had an OK Boomer moment there, but bear with me.

00:59We haven't seen a preseason like this since Dak Prescott's rookie year, y'all.

01:04Everybody has taken notice and has bought into the Dart hype.

01:09The man had Jameis Winston eating W's off of him during a game.

01:14Go wash your hands, bro.

01:15That was gross.

01:16Look, the Giants front office has already been all in on the kid.

01:19They're the ones that drafted him.

01:21But his teammates, the fan base and the media, what we're all into, and a lot of national

01:26media has kind of been pushing this narrative that he should be the week one starter.

01:31I just don't agree with that.

01:33And neither does former 18-year NFL quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.

01:37He's all in on the kid.

01:39Don't worry about that.

01:40And he credits what and who the Giants have kind of put around him for his development.

01:45But he doesn't want to ruin the kid by throwing him into the Wolves right away.

01:50A lot of other young quarterbacks are not stepping into an environment like that.

01:53So I think everybody gets a credit.

01:55I think the front office gets some credit.

01:57But at the end of the day, the quarterback, the young quarterback, either has to have the

02:00it factor or not.

02:02And what I've seen so far on film, I just absolutely love it.

02:07Like, I just love it.

02:08There's no extra hitches.

02:10You can tell this guy was well-trained in college.

02:12Um, I just would caution everybody, don't throw him out there to the Wolves too soon

02:17before he's ready or before the team's ready.

02:19Look, I'm not lying to y'all or being some sort of giant homer like y'all like to call

02:25me all the time when I tell you that this kid has pretty much aced every single test that

02:31Brian Dable and this staff has thrown at him.

02:34The only thing I'd say to him, boy, you better get down and learn how to slide, get down,

02:41or get out of bounds when you leave the pocket because one, the hits in the NFL are a lot

02:47harder than the SEC.

02:49And two, you almost had all of Giants Nation in a full-blown panic with that concussion

02:54scare when you took that hit against the Patriots last night.

02:58Get down or get out of bounds.

03:01Look, Brian Dable has a good problem of trying to figure out what he's going to do with the

03:06four quarterbacks in that QB room.

03:08All of them played well, all of them led TD drives and put up points, and all of these

03:13dudes were fun to watch in their own ways.

03:15But what I think happens is, obviously, Russ is QB1, Dart is QB2, and Jameis is QB3.

03:22But he could step in early in the season if something happens to Russ, depending on the

03:26situation and if they think that Dart can handle being thrown into a game unexpectedly.

03:31They did that in the preseason game against the Jets, but, I mean, we got to see what happens

03:37when Ish gets real.

03:39Unfortunately, that leaves Tommy DeVito on the possible cut list because no NFL team really

03:44carries four quarterbacks, and there's no need to put him on the practice roster because

03:48those practice roster reps or scout team reps are going to go to Jameis or they're going

03:53to go to Jackson.

03:54I still think DeVito gets picked up somewhere if he gets cut because, I mean, he's made

04:00plays and won games in this league before, but it's just business in the numbers game

04:04when it comes to putting together a roster.

04:07All right, back to Jackson Dart.

04:09When will he play?

04:12I don't know, but I feel like they're going to have like a play or two for him to get him

04:16in the game or in these early games so he can get a feel and a taste of what regular season

04:22game speed feel like, but if it was up to me, if you don't need him, don't play him.

04:28Let him sit, let him learn, let him watch, and watch his stock can continue to grow for

04:34the future.
