00:00We've seen this this team throughout the season where different faces one second.
00:04It's a dominant pitching night and the torpedo bats are batting.
00:09And then there are nights where, you know, this team, the errors, the fundamental mistakes and they're barely holding on.
00:17So going into October, which version do you believe is the real Yankees?
00:22And do you think this team has kind of been battle tested enough to where they can go on another deep run in the playoffs?
00:30Yeah, I mean, they've certainly been through it over the course of this 162.
00:34And obviously, a lot of the same guys were on this team last October for that run, although there are a good amount of new faces.
00:41But I think, yeah, I think their backbone is, you know, the kind of the rotation led by Fried and Rodon.
00:47Those two guys have been really strong, you know, put together really strong seasons.
00:52Obviously, Fried went through a little bit of a mid-summer slump, but seems to have, you know, come out of it strong and maybe been better off for it.
01:00Kind of taught him some things about, you know, leaning into his, you know, the amount of pitches that he throws and staying unpredictable and trusting his defense behind him,
01:09which is obviously easier to do when you, you know, when you add a guy like Ryan McMahon at third base who eats up pretty much everything in his way.
01:16So, you know, they're going to have that rotation.
01:17You know, you start a playoff series with Fried and Rodon, that's a pretty good place to start.
01:21And obviously, it is an offense that's kind of built on home runs, you know, which in the postseason that plays.
01:29But there's going to be times, too, when you run into tough pitching and you're going to have to find ways to manufacture runs.
01:34And they've shown the ability, you know, at times to kind of lean on that athleticism, steal some bases.
01:40You know, obviously, Jose Caballero kind of looms as a pinch run threat there.
01:44He's going to probably lead the entire major leagues in steals this season.
01:49So, you know, they have a little bit of that.
01:50You know, Anthony Volpe can steal bases.
01:52Jason Dominguez has been a realtor on the bases.
01:55So, you know, they have the ability to do that.
01:56But, you know, when it comes down to it, it's going to be an offense built on going deep.
02:01So they're going to have to put it all together.
02:03That's, you know, kind of the name of the game in October is where every team gets hot at the right time.
