00:00What is your sense? Do we see Justin Fields in a Jets uniform on Monday night?
00:04Yeah, I'd be shocked if he's not playing.
00:05I think the only way he's not playing is if there's some kind of setback.
00:09So he was, he did all practice yesterday. He looked fine.
00:12I saw him in the locker room afterwards.
00:14We're not allowed to talk to him when he's in the concussion protocol.
00:17But, you know, I said this last week, I thought it was, it was obvious.
00:21He wasn't around much. So like that, that's how I knew kind of last week was he's around.
00:25He was hanging out in the locker room, talking to teammates.
00:27So he looks fine. My, my feeling is he'll practice today, Friday.
00:32They'll probably announce he's cleared tomorrow, Saturday.
00:35And, you know, I'd be shocked if he wasn't out there one day.
00:38And how critical is this going to be now as, as another shot for Justin Fields to one,
00:45prove himself that he can actually be a starting quarterback and two,
00:50he's got to stay on the field healthy, right. And, and, and, and make the plays where he needs to.
00:55So what are you paying attention to for Justin Fields against this Dolphins defense,
00:59which has struggled a bunch this year?
01:01Yeah. I mean, which Justin Fields are we going to see week one or week two?
01:04That's the question to me. It's pretty obvious, you know, I mean, week one,
01:08he didn't do much wrong. You guys were all ready to crown him after that one.
01:13And then week two, you were ready to cut him.
01:16So right now, like the bills are a much better team than the Dolphins.
01:20So I would think it'd be closer to week one than week two, but you never know.
01:24I mean, that's the, that's going to be the ride with Justin Fields.
01:27There's going to be inconsistency. There's going to be weeks where he looks like,
01:30you know, Holy cow, this guy's great.
01:32And then other weeks where you're, you're not, not thrilled with them.
01:35So I think that's the question Monday night is which,
01:39which Justin Fields shows up.
01:41Yeah. And to sort of piggyback a bit off of that,
01:44that is everything with this New York Jets team,
01:48how the quarterbacks go into play, obviously.
01:50But if you look at what Tyrod Taylor did last week,
01:53he missed throws all over the yard.
01:55And Justin Fields the week before also was missing throws all over the yard.
01:59I think Tanner Engstrand's put in these receivers in a position to get the ball,
02:04to make some plays.
02:04Now I'll say this because this is something that a lot of fans are posting online,
02:09me being one of them about this,
02:11all 22 receivers, you know, you know, open galore out there.
02:16That is going to always be the case.
02:18When you look at the all 22,
02:19a quarterback's never perfect in their assessment and they're never perfect in
02:24where they bring, you know, deliver the football,
02:26but it was shocking how open some of these receivers are.
02:29And it looks like Tyrod's just staring them right in the face and not delivering
02:33the football.
02:34There's a hesitation by Tyrod.
02:36And I hope there's not a hesitation by Fields this week because what last time he
02:40played, he was very hesitant getting the football out.
02:43He could not be hesitant.
02:45Assuming he plays on Monday night, get the ball out, make your read,
02:48try some throws.
02:49If you throw an interception, you throw an interception.
02:52I feel like these quarterbacks are so afraid to throw an, you know, an INT,
02:56throw the ball down the field.
02:57It's fine.
02:58Get Garrett something over 20 yards.
03:00He hasn't had over 20 yards.
03:02I think since week one, I mean, get him the ball down the field, please.
03:07Yeah.
03:07And I think a couple of things off of that, Frankie, like, yeah,
03:10they've shown no explosiveness.
03:12Yeah.
03:13Really?
03:13You know, the one, the one touchdown to Garrett was 33 yards against the Steelers,
03:17but like you cannot live on 10 play and 12 play drives.
03:21Like you can't, you can't do that.
03:23So they've got to be able to show explosiveness.
03:25And then also the defense has to give them a short field sometimes where they can
03:29get scores that way.
03:30Cause this team, they need that.
03:33And I think it's an interesting point with the all 22, Frankie.
03:36I know both of you guys like the all 22 and I like watching it, but like,
03:40it's really easy to sit and watch the all 22 and I miss this.
03:44They miss this.
03:44Yeah.
03:45Playing quarterback is freaking hard, man.
03:47And like,
03:47if you ever get a chance to stand on the field,
03:49like they used to let us stand on the field at the end of games.
03:53They don't anymore.
03:55But it was, it's like to be on the field on an NFL game is like insane.
03:58Like the, the sound, the speed, it's just like, it's crazy to, to see that.
04:04And so, yeah, it's tough to, to kind of sit here and nitpick.
04:09And I think with Tyra,
04:10what you saw is a guy who hadn't played football in two years.
04:13Yeah.
04:14That's what I was thinking.
04:15Don't tell me about the fourth quarters against San Francisco or Buffalo or,
04:18or a few weeks ago, it's Buffalo, like Buffalo last year, this year,
04:21like they were playing soft defenses.
04:24They then won the game when, when Tyra was in there, like when,
04:27when Todd Bowles is sending safeties and linebackers from the same size and
04:31overlooking blitzes, like that's rough, man.
04:34So I just think he looked really rusty last week.
04:38So, but I don't think you're going to see Tyra now for,
04:41you probably shouldn't see him for a while.
04:42If Justin Fields can stay on the field.
04:44Yeah.
04:44I think they made him very uncomfortable in that pocket.
04:47Like you said, cause and Frankie,
04:49I think that also led to him not being able to pull the trigger on some of
04:52those throws.
04:53So it's about Justin Fields though,
04:54because like cause started with this conversation,
04:56which one are we getting?
04:58Because ultimately it was a rough goal of it against Buffalo.
05:01The last time we saw him on the field where he's missing Garrett wide open on
05:04first, or first throw.
05:05And you're like, Oh boy, this, this might not be pretty today.
05:09So I'm just looking to see how he starts that first drive.
05:12And if he could hit his first time, you know, first throw,
05:15get an easy completion, hopefully,
05:16and then get the rhythm going in this offense because they do need that
05:20explosive as well.
05:21I'm waiting for Brees to,
05:23the big one to break a big,
05:24like 50,
05:2560 yard touchdown run,
05:26break that tackle against that one-on-one against the safety and just
05:29take it to the house.
05:30That's what I'm looking forward to seeing as well.
