00:00tonight what was the thought process behind taking him out to go to the pandare with

00:04nobody on and one out and stuff yeah just they pressured him pretty good in the

00:09fourth fifth sixth you know had a couple base runners each inning

00:13so i felt like he kind of cruised through the first few and obviously ends up pitching great

00:18but i felt like he had to work pretty hard and i was gonna have the sixth be the end but once

00:23we got the double finish with the double play i wanted to go out and get duran uh and it felt

00:28like we're lined up hey tara far right andy you mentioned how they're making free work over the

00:35last few things did you find did you notice something in his stuff also that seemed like

00:40he was tiring a little bit at that point maybe a little bit i felt that way um i felt like his

00:45command was you know not as good those final few he's just making so many big pitches and his stuff

00:51was good so look i mean he gave us you know what we needed and felt really good about the outing he

00:57put forth but i felt pretty convicted like you know especially we got the double play it's like

01:02let's go get one more hitter and and be good right were the first five six innings didn't feel to you

01:09like sort of a throwback all-time hedging matcher yeah i mean obviously both guys were great as

01:15advertised you know crochet was obviously really tough you know both both gets them there we we get a

01:22couple on right away in the first inning but you know he navigates that and he was pretty pitch

01:28efficient too like he was you know we didn't you know we didn't walk off off him we had a couple of

01:33the best couple in a row where we got to three balls and we're kind of pressure but he made big

01:38pitches in those situations to really keep his you know workload down there so he was he was you know

01:45obviously very tough against us and max was was more than matching them dan left far right or what did

01:51you see from from weaver i mean gets ahead oh two and then you know with rafael in there and lost the

01:58strike zone and then uh you know they placed a couple hits on him where you know maybe just a

02:04little up with a couple of the pitches more than you wanted uh but you know getting ahead oh two to

02:11rafael and losing them that's that's the one that stinks a little bit and having chapman on the ropes

02:15their base loaded in the ninth and to not come through what did you see from the the at bats

02:19yeah i mean i i thought we had you know a lot of really good at bats against them i thought

02:25caballero's at bat the inning before was really good um you know obviously goldie getting us going

02:31judgy smoking a ball belly doing his thing and then i thought g you know g didn't get any results

02:37tonight but i thought i thought he had a lot of good swings a lot of just misses um and you know

02:42hey god's doing david joe uh i just want to make sure two things about your decision of free that

02:48free didn't tell you i've got one batter this was a strictly your decision yeah yeah yeah i when i

02:53talked to him after the inning it just said hey i want you to get one more hitter he said okay uh and

02:58and and i know it was kind of asked but like rafael has numbers on weaver it's not a big sample size

03:03but he has numbers does that uh push you one way or the other and it's a small sample but um they are

03:09numbers no i i felt good about him going through there the so guard and then probably a pinch hit

03:17lefty there just trying to shorten it with um you know williams and bednar behind them stay there you

03:24right it seems kind of jarring to face a sudden death gate this early in the postseason but how

03:31do you think your team's temperament matches up with that yeah yeah look we've been playing these

03:35you know tight games for a while now you know we've been playing with a lot on the line seemingly

03:41every single day so tonight was a great baseball game that you know we just couldn't get that final

03:47punch in um so we'll we'll be ready to go and i expect us to to come out and get one tomorrow

03:53one more year in the right middle you all got some good swings off crochet in the first and second

03:59inning uh what do you think changed after that i mean you know we're talking about a stud pitcher i

04:07mean so you know i still thought we got some good swings off i thought g had a good swing on him

04:12uh where he just missed a look like a cutter or a sweeper in the middle of the zone he got his a swing

04:17off i thought rosario had some good at bats against him he got him on the ground though uh so

04:23and then i thought aaron you know with the 3-1 he had a 3-1 pitch looked like a pitch in the middle

04:30there and he just missed to to center so um look he's really good uh i thought we had some decent

04:36at bats we just weren't able to pressure him enough and create enough traffic against him to put him in

04:40real trouble but you think one more we get anthony no right um was rosario injured he came out of

04:48game with defense no no just once once we get our righties in there yeah thanks
