01:55And...
01:56You say goodbye.
01:57End of an era.
01:59Behind the scenes as late-night legend Stephen Colbert turns off the lights.
02:09Now, Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim.
02:13Hello and thanks for joining us as we head into Memorial Day weekend.
02:16What killed Kyle Busch?
02:19The sudden death of the NASCAR star at just 41 years old, sending shockwaves across the country.
02:25Now, we're hearing the 911 call placed the day before his death.
02:30As Ann Rocagliano reports, the caller tells the dispatcher Bush was on the bathroom floor coughing up blood.
02:36We're learning shocking new details about the sudden death of NASCAR racing legend Kyle Busch.
02:42The 41-year-old champion was training for his next race in this simulator near Charlotte when he became unresponsive.
02:51I've got an individual that's shortness of breath, very hot, thinks he's going to pass out, and is producing a
02:59little bit of blood, coughing up some blood.
03:01Is he awake?
03:02He's on the bathroom floor right now.
03:04Can you turn the sirens off when you get here?
03:06Less than 24 hours later, Kyle Busch was dead.
03:09He's going to do the bow.
03:10This now haunting video shows Bush taking what turned out to be his final victory bow just seven days ago.
03:18Why do these moments never get old, Kyle?
03:20Because you never know when the last one is.
03:23Five days earlier, Bush summoned medical aid during a race at Watkins Glen in upstate New York.
03:28He was suffering from a painful sinus infection.
03:32Can somebody try to find Bill Heisel, the Henry, the doctor guy.
03:38Tell him I need him after the race, please.
03:40Hey, do you want Mr. Bill at your car or at your bus after the race?
03:44Uh, bus, I'm going to need a shot.
03:46Do you feel better after whatever was bothering you in the car last week that you needed help for?
03:51Uh, you can kind of still hear it.
03:53I'm still not great, but the cough was pretty substantial last week.
03:59I spoke with ear, nose, and throat specialist Dr. Mustafa Murad.
04:03Could a sinus infection lead to death?
04:05So, in very rare circumstances, a sinus infection can lead to death, but it's exceedingly rare.
04:10Serious sinus infections can trigger meningitis, brain abscess, and organ failure.
04:15Kyle Busch and his wife Samantha spoke with Eva recently after he lost $8.5 million in what he said
04:22was an investment scam.
04:23I was mad. I was upset. I felt taken advantage of.
04:26And now for his signature bow.
04:29Poignantly, he was already looking forward to a future after racing.
04:33My days of racing are coming closer towards the end.
04:36Being a NASCAR driver, you're not going to be there forever.
04:38Kyle Busch leaves behind a wife and two young children.
04:42During our interview, Busch told me he was going to race for a few more years
04:45and then was excited to fully focus on helping his 11-year-old son pursue his racing dreams.
04:52It's hard to eclipse President Trump in the Oval Office, but this guy's belly button did just that.
04:58He was there to tout his local supermarket chain.
05:02But as Stephen Fabian reports instead, everyone was focused on his Audi.
05:07We have tremendous people behind me.
05:10It's a major press conference in the Oval Office.
05:13President Trump announcing he's rolling back regulations on supermarket refrigerators.
05:17But all anyone's talking about is that bulging belly button right over the president's shoulder.
05:23All these crotches and belly buttons around the president.
05:26Like, why, you guys? Why? Stop!
05:28Conservative commentator Megan McCain posted,
05:31Can the advanced people not put some random man's belly button next to our president's head?
05:36So, who's the dude with the protruding belly button?
05:39Ron Graff Sr.
05:42Right here?
05:44Hello, Ron.
05:46His name is Ron Graff Sr.
05:48He's the co-owner of a chain of supermarkets in Ohio.
05:51We reached out to the Graff family and his granddaughter told us he has a hernia,
05:55which causes that bulge in his belly button.
05:58And while it may look like a concerning medical condition,
06:01New York surgeon Dr. Mark Reiner says it's not.
06:04It's called an umbilical hernia, also known as an Audi belly button.
06:09So many people have them. You see it all the time.
06:11Usually we don't fix them unless they are symptomatic, which means pain or discomfort.
06:16It's not dangerous in the least bit to this gentleman.
06:18Just a little distracting when you're standing right next to the president.
06:23The man's family tells us being in the Oval Office with President Trump was, quote,
06:27the honor of a lifetime.
06:29Friends and family of this retired dentist and his wife are in shock.
06:33The couple was found dead in their home.
06:36Cops say it was a murder-suicide.
06:38In their final days, they had been scammed out of tens of thousands of dollars.
06:43The wife thought she was helping Blue Bloods star Tom Selleck,
06:47but it was actually someone pretending to be the actor, and she was scammed.
06:53Here's Jim Murray.
06:55Karen and Donald Whitaker were found dead in their Palm Springs home in what police say appears to be a
07:00murder-suicide,
07:02triggered by the realization that they had lost a chunk of their life savings to a Tom Selleck imposter.
07:0779-year-old Karen sent money to the online scammer, who was posing as the Magnum P.I. and Blue
07:13Bloods star.
07:14A close friend of the Whitaker says the 80-year-old husband said he was having difficulty
07:18dealing with the financial loss they were suffering at the hands of the fake Tom Selleck.
07:23Nobody could get to Karen.
07:24Nobody could make her understand that this was not real.
07:27I spoke to their friend, Joy Medici, today.
07:29Finally, her husband was saying, I'm going to commit suicide.
07:32I'm so embarrassed that this was happening in my family.
07:35You believe that the husband killed his wife and then himself?
07:39Yes, absolutely.
07:41The hurt that he had after 64 years of marriage, that he could not make her understand that this was
07:48also his money,
07:49and she was giving it all away, and the children would have nothing to inherit by the time she was
07:54finished.
07:55He just couldn't cope with it, and he couldn't stop her.
07:58The Whitakers appear to be the latest to fall victim to fake celebrity scams.
08:03This woman lost her life savings to someone pretending to be hunky soap star Steve Burton of the show General
08:09Hospital.
08:09You need to tell me what you're doing here.
08:12The scammer convinced her with this AI-generated video.
08:15I love you so much, darling. I had to make this video to make you happy, my love.
08:19Here's the real Steve Burton. Here's the AI version.
08:22Please be careful of fakes and imposters.
08:25And scammers reportedly used these fake AI-generated pictures to lure $800,000 from a Brad Pitt fan.
08:33Older Americans tend to have more liquid assets that a scammer can go after,
08:37things like cash or savings accounts or 401ks.
08:40Now it's happening again with tragic results.
08:44The sheriff's office tells us there's no evidence at this time that the scammer pretending to be Tom Selleck
08:50was directly involved in the couple's death.
08:52AAA predicts a record 45 million Americans are traveling this Memorial Day weekend,
08:58but are you ready to board a plane or get in your car for a road trip?
09:03Meteorologists warn it will be a washout for about half the country.
09:07Allison Hall has what you need to know.
09:12Oh no! Is this what you can expect this holiday weekend?
09:17This lady was determined to enjoy a barbecue steak.
09:22Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other ideas.
09:25This weather is a mess.
09:27A lot of rainfall here.
09:28For a big swath of the nation, Memorial Day weekend could be a washout.
09:33Ah!
09:35Look what happened to this tractor trailer in Tennessee.
09:39Oh, f***!
09:41Even so, AAA expects 45 million people to hit the roads, despite the weather and high gas prices.
09:47But is your vehicle raring and ready to go?
09:50You need to be able to see, and it looks like we're going to have rain this weekend,
09:54so be sure that your wipers are in good condition and that you have full washer fluid.
09:58And that you can certainly do yourself.
10:01It's very simple.
10:02Mechanic Audra Forden is founder of Women Ought to Know.
10:06So when you're underneath the hood, take 30 seconds to look at the battery.
10:09Locate where it is.
10:11If you see any corrosion that's on the battery, you can actually do a DIY yourself with some baking soda
10:18and water.
10:19Oh, wow.
10:19And clean it off with a metal brush.
10:21And be mindful because batteries only last three to five years.
10:25And what about last-minute getaways?
10:27Fromers.com's Pauline Fromer says there are great deals to be had.
10:32You have a lot of people nervous about Hantavirus.
10:34That is tanking people booking cruises.
10:39So we're seeing last-minute cruise deals for about $67 to $167 per person per day.
10:47Wow.
10:48If you like gambling, if you like Las Vegas, because they've had such a drop in international visitors,
10:55a lot of the casinos are now offering all-inclusive packages.
11:00And if you've got kids.
11:02For most amusement parks, they have a season pass that pays off within two visits.
11:07So you get the entire season pass, and then you pay very little after you've gone twice.
11:13So, rain or shine, here's to a great Memorial Day weekend.
11:20Speaking of amusement parks, the most popular destination in the country this weekend, Orlando, Florida,
11:25which has ten major parks, including Walt Disney World.
11:30And it's the end of an era on late-night TV.
11:33As Stephen Colbert turned off the light in his studio for the last time.
11:38We've got the moments you didn't see on TV.
11:41Congrats, Stephen!
11:42Stephen Colbert heads into his after-party, following an epic send-off for the ages.
11:48Here he is backstage, looking a bit nervous ahead of his final show.
11:54Tonight is our final broadcast from the Ed Sullivan Theater, where...
12:01No, no, we were lucky enough to be here for the last 11 years.
12:05All right, that was...
12:07The 78-minute finale was filled with celebrity cameos.
12:11Among them, Bryan, Bryan Cranston, and Ryan Reynolds.
12:15You're not my last guest.
12:17Ouchie.
12:18He made a joke out of all these celebs vying to be his last guest,
12:22before he was finally revealed.
12:25Who's gonna be my last guest now?
12:27H.T., what about me?
12:30Yep, it's Paul McCartney.
12:32The series finale ended with Colbert singing a classic Beatles song alongside McCartney.
12:37I don't know why you say goodbye, I'll say hello.
12:42Ben Colbert's family and the late-show staff took the stage.
12:46The show ended with Colbert and McCartney shutting off the lights at the Ed Sullivan Theater.
12:51We caught up with audience members who had a front-row seat to TV Magic.
12:55This is the ending of a great show.
12:59Mimi Riggins traveled all the way from Greenville, South Carolina.
13:03He did two takes of the final song.
13:05He's like, how often do you get to sing with a Beatle?
13:08And I'm sitting here going, amen, brother, how often do I get to sit eight rows back and see a
13:13Beatle perform?
13:13He went out in style.
13:15There was a lot of tears, a lot of sniffling.
13:17What surprised many is that Colbert, an outspoken critic of the president, never mentioned Trump by name.
13:23But the president couldn't resist taking a parting shot, calling Colbert a total jerk.
13:29Writing on Truth Social at 2 a.m., Colbert is finally finished at CBS.
13:33No talent, no ratings, no life.
13:36Thank goodness he's finally gone.
13:38After the show, stagehands loaded the band's gear and instruments into a truck.
13:42The band's gone, it's over.
13:46A night for the TV history books.
13:52We'll be back with much more Inside Edition after this.
13:56Next, the El Capitan kid, the youngest daredevil to ever scale the summit.
14:02He's only seven years old.
14:04Tell us how you feel.
14:05Great.
14:06And Marilyn Monroe's last photo revealed.
14:10Plus, epic wedding flashback.
14:16Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim.

17:00Today, the 7-year-old daredevil became the youngest person ever to scale the El Capitan rock formation in Yosemite
17:07National Park.
17:08It's no wonder he's known as Joey Danger.
17:12This kid has done what no other boy his age has achieved.
17:16At 7 years old, he's the youngest climber to reach the top of El Capitan, the iconic 3,000-foot
17:23rock formation in Yosemite National Park.
17:25There he is, and it's no easy climb.
17:28Joey Evermore navigated El Capitan's scary vertical wall.
17:32Of course, he's getting a little help from his dad.
17:35Here's Joey after reaching the summit, waving at the camera just for Inside Edition.
17:40He's with his older brother, Sylvan.
17:42What a view.
17:44Tell us how you feel.
17:45Great.
17:47He was too exhausted to say much more.
17:50We spoke to Dad, Joe Evermore.
17:52Your son's got to be pretty tough to be able to do this at age 7.
17:55It's an unbelievable task to climb the front of El Capitan.
18:00Other climbers serenaded him during the night.
18:02It was his birthday.
18:05Happy birthday to your dad!
18:08What do you say to people out there who go, oh man, he's too young to be doing this.
18:11This is dangerous.
18:13I don't want to pretend that there's no risk.
18:15There's not a second that they're not anchored to the wall.
18:18Dad says most of all, it's about the father and son time.
18:22It's as good as it gets.
18:24And climbing is a family affair.
18:26Both of Joey's big brothers have also summited El Capitan.
18:30And a bride and group never expected this.
18:34All their wedding guests taking part in a flash mob set to the avoclassic Dancing Queen.
18:41It's the entire wedding party.
18:44160 family and friends all on the dance floor.
18:49Surprising the bride and groom for a flash mob singing Dancing Queen.
18:53You are a Dancing Queen.
18:56We spoke to newlyweds Tierney and Donald Applegate.
18:59We watched the video and cry every single time.
19:02Yeah.
19:03But in the moment, I just couldn't believe it.
19:05Like, all these people came together and learned this dance.
19:08And then to perform it for us this honor wedding night, it was so amazing.
19:15We're the Dancing Queen.
19:18The whole thing was choreographed by the mother of the bride.
19:22Great job to her.
19:25Still to come, Marilyn Monroe's last photo revealed.
19:33This little light of mine has been dark for quite some time.
19:40Then I let in the light to help see more of the light inside of me.
19:47I needed more from my antidepressant, so my doctor added capillita, proven to provide greater relief from depression symptoms than
19:54an antidepressant alone, building on my progress without starting over.
19:58Weight gain and reported sexual side effects were not common.
20:01Elderly dementia patients have increased risk of death or stroke.
20:04Capillita is not approved for dementia-related psychosis.
20:06Call your doctor about new or sudden mood changes, behaviors, or suicidal thoughts right away.
20:10Antidepressants may increase these risks.
20:12Report fever, confusion, stiff muscles, which may be life-threatening, or uncontrolled muscle movements, which may be permanent.
20:18High cholesterol and weight gain may occur, as can high blood sugar, which may be fatal.
20:21Common side effects are sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, feeling tired, and diarrhea.
20:25These aren't all the side effects.
20:26Ask your doctor about Capillita.
20:28Help see more of the light inside of me.
20:36Happy Friday.
20:37I'm Alex Miranda.

21:43Supreme?
21:44I play it on the bus.
21:46Ugh.
21:46I will be the mentor I wish I'd had.
21:48First up, pattern recognition.
21:50On it.
21:51We must hone your speed.
21:52Go!
21:53Ah!
21:55Too slow.
21:55And you'll need a victory laugh.
21:57Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
21:59Whoa.
22:01The next move is tap, tap, rock and tap.
22:03Got it!
22:04What?
22:05Let's go, dude.
22:06Woo!
22:19June 1st would have been Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday.
22:22Her image is as iconic today as ever.
22:25Now we're seeing what may have been her last photo.
22:30It's the never-before-seen photo of Marilyn Monroe from her last photo shoot,
22:35revealed exclusively on Inside Edition.
22:37The screen icon reclines on the bed with book opened,
22:41chatting on the phone, vibrant and alluring, classic Marilyn.
22:44Only weeks later, the original blonde bombshell would be dead from a drug overdose
22:49and apparent suicide at age 36.
22:51The late-famed photographer George Barris snapped that last photo shoot.
22:56You can see his reflection in the image.
22:58I spoke to his daughter Caroline at the Hollywood Museum.
23:02Was there anything about her mood that suggested something was wrong?
23:06No, he said she was in good spirit. She was actually happy.
23:09Did you feel the breeze from the subway?
23:10Contrary to her ditzy blonde image, Marilyn actually had a vast love for books.
23:15Was she reading this book as far as you know?
23:17I know she was a very avid reader, and I know that she would have those books and read them.
23:21She really was really smart.
23:25Marilyn would be turning 100 years old on June 1st if she were still alive today.
23:30To celebrate, the Hollywood Museum is displaying personal items,
23:34including her spaghetti-strap dress that she wore on her honeymoon
23:38with baseball great Joe DiMaggio, valued at a whopping $4 million.
