Some 1,776 people in Manjung and Larut, Matang and Selama (LMS) districts have been displaced following several hours of downpour.
According to the Perak Civil Defence Force, 1,413 people in LMS and 363 in Manjung have been sent to 23 temporary relief shelters since 8pm on Thursday (Oct 23).

00:29According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, thunderstorms and rainfall are expected to continue for most part of Friday in Perak, especially Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta and Hilir Perak.
