Smith is the Gainesway Guest of the Week on this week's TDN Writers' Room, and talks about the upcoming Breeders' Cup, where he will be represented by two exciting contenders--Sierra Leone and Schwarzenegger. Gainesway is the home to McKinzie, who will see three of his offspring race in the Breeders' Cup.

00:00Welcome in now to Gainesway Guest of the Week, and it's Brooke Smith, who was one of the minority owners of Sierra Leone.

00:06He's also a minority owner of Schwarzenegger, who will go in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint.

00:11Look, here's the whole thing about this. You have to marvel at it. You have to have fun with it.

00:15And we've got to take it serious. It's a sport. We're talking about animals and history and everything else.

00:20But if you don't just, with all this stuff that's going on in the world all the time, if you don't just step back a second,

00:26it's also going into a movie. You watch the film and you disappear in it.

00:30So I'm hoping that during the 31st and 1st, that all of us that love horse racing, we disappear in those two days and just enjoy it.
