02:08And I spent some really happy time in Italy. I was a child. I lived in Florence for a while, and I shot in Rome, so I've had a chance to have all this.
02:20Michael, is it true that you saw the saga, The Soprano, just to do this movie?
02:25That is true. Yeah, I'd never seen it before. I started watching it when I first started auditioning.
02:35Yeah, I started with the first season. I just watched the first season, and then once I got the part, I dove into the entire series.
02:45I think that helped you to go into this complex aspect of Tony's mind.
02:52Completely.
02:53What was the most challenging part to do about this role? I don't know if it was to be able to be just you as an actor, you know, professional, or to keep the right distance between you and all the comparison.
03:12Yeah, you know, it's a great question. I think it's kind of like a combination of all.
03:21Like, when I got to set, it was about the work. Like, okay, what does Alessandro need? What does John need? What does Vera need? What does Leslie need?
03:34David, is this what you're thinking? Alan, what are you feeling? So, it was about the work on the set, so I didn't become, again, overwhelmed.
03:43But the most challenging part was probably, I could honestly say that, after getting to know Tony, and I was playing a little younger than I was, I would want to sort of maybe attack or be aggressive or be sarcastic in ways that Tony was and I can relate to.
04:04But I had to pull it back. And Alan was so helpful to be like, he's not there yet. He's still a kid. You know, he's sensitive and curious and still scared and a little timid, like, pull it back, pull it back.
04:18So, that was one of the most challenging parts is remembering, oh, I'm not that Tony yet. I'm very different at a different point of his life. So, I kept having to really remind myself and sort of make sure my instincts were in the right timeline.

05:11Questo è il fatto, secondo me, no? Cioè, mi tengo la certezza di avere una tradizione perché così diventa una specie di arma che mi protegge quando faccio del male o quando faccio, è come avere una casa.
05:22Well, that's one of the things that I, I mean, you know, if you, if you're born in the United States, you could be born in any nationality, right?

05:38But one thing I did always like about being born Italian is because the food is so much better than all that other stuff.
