00:00all right i am very excited about this radio game show in fact solana has moved into the studio
00:06to handle the controls because this is such a uh do you feel like you've been demoted you feel uh
00:12jimmy like you are um who did they keep taking out for teddy bridgewater to run the
00:18or jacoby brissette was it too well when jacoby brissette came in to run a two yard
00:25uh up the middle to try and get a first down i'm a little hurt but no hard feelings all right no
00:32hard feelings we're gonna get through this together we're all a team here i'm very excited
00:35we do this every year solana at heat media day asks some of the heat players and coaches
00:42show specific questions and you and i can guess crowder because i don't i have not heard any of
00:47these so i don't know the answers um he asks eric spolstra if he's ever had an aperol spritz now you
00:55know the aperol spritz of course is one of my pet projects i have revitalized the aperol spritz
01:02industry yeah and uh it became the drink of the summer it's a hot new drink everyone enjoys it
01:08you think eric spolstra who i i believe is pretty much a world traveler yeah has ever had an aperol
01:16spritz yes he's a little sadiddy too yeah april yes i totally agree jimmy do you think

01:42and that's a very social drink you're not going to get hammered drinking aperol spritzes he had a

01:57say when you were in europe did you drink an aperol spritz have you ever ordered an aperol spritz i have
02:03not uh done that but i had spirits uh that were um given to me either by nico's uh family or pella's
02:12family and i was able to have some uh nice wine with uh simone all right i i hate that guy and
02:18he'll never have any success without lebron he got me i knew i had that one never had an aperol
02:24spritz shocking all right how about simone fontecchio i imagine he's got it running through the tap
02:31in his home like when he brushes his teeth he rinses with aperol spritz no i mean he's young
02:38though he's italian that's the birthplace of the aperol spritz but he's a young man he's an athlete
02:46no it doesn't matter though you're raised on aperol spritz as uh as an italian you say no no
02:53oh i think he has it every day jimmy what do you think about simone fontecchio i think he has

04:26wonder that you know it was crazy i was in italy and then when i was with this person they ordered
04:31that but i'm like and i tasted it i'm i ain't gonna lie i'm not a fan interesting so he was saying
04:37without saying at the beginning i got it that yeah the ladies order the aperol spritz and then
04:42solana didn't take that lead and then he followed up he's like the person i was with
04:47ordered an aperol spritz so yeah because that's the point against me yeah it's for women huh
04:52yeah point against well people used to believe that about virginia slims but it's a fantastic
04:57cigarette you used to you have men that smoke virginia slims oh my god after the show i have
05:04an aperol spritz of virginia slims are you talking about the diet cigarettes if you anyone's the diet
05:10one yeah diet six you get mani pedis if you drink aperol spritzes stop it how dare you me and uh
05:18me and simone fontecchio are throwing them back like they're nothing he's talking about um
05:24so what did you ask simone fontecchio about spaghetti and meatballs whether you can order it at an italian
05:30restaurant just wanted to get his gauge on spaghetti and meatballs you'll hear it's it's about a minute
05:35conversation because he had a lot to say about spaghetti and meatballs but essentially last year
05:41i asked all the heat players hey you go to an italian restaurant would you ever order spaghetti
05:44and meat that's been a constant conflict on this show if i go to an italian restaurant i get spaghetti
05:50and meatballs oftentimes and solana and i believe you crowder have said no you go to an italian restaurant
05:56if you order spaghetti and meatballs you're out of sorts but my point it's on the menu for a reason
06:01because it's an italian restaurant they make spaghetti and meatballs well so let's hear what
06:06simone fontecchio has to say about spaghetti and meatballs in the united states people think spaghetti
06:12and meatballs is here we go is uh italian cuisine would you in your home country ever order spaghetti
06:22and meatballs together no uh but you know i was thinking about it this summer that there is a typical
06:30um uh dish uh actually from my region from abruzzo that uh it's uh like uh thinner spaghetti is called
06:39guitarra with the um guitarra guitarra yeah that means guitar in uh in italian um right that is actually
06:48with meatballs but they are really super small meatballs it's totally different from the american italian
06:56american recipe but it's something that it's really similar so i don't know if it might be
07:00kind of related to it but yeah you're from the eastern side of italy correct yeah yeah yeah so if
07:06i was inviting you over for dinner and i told you i'm gonna make you an italian dish and it was
07:11traditional american spaghetti and meatballs would you be would you be a little disappointed uh a little
07:18bit but you know it's you know you you invited me so i cannot be i cannot be rude and uh i guess
07:25got always you can you can be honest you would hate it you would hate it probably yeah i mean the real
07:29disappointment is when you give him your address that's kendall and he's got to drive all the way
07:33out to kendall it's weird if i've invited you over for dinner you i know you're from the east coast
07:40what kind of you're creeping on the guy we're kindred spirits he and i told him i i've been to
07:46italy several times i looked up where in italy he was from i do enjoy listening to him speak i love
07:52an italian accent and it's like it's a it's a smaller meatball i like when they look for the english
08:01word you know i i i how do you say i love it you know like guitar this guitar um i kind of feel like
08:13he said yeah i get spaghetti and meatballs in italy yeah and it's just a thinner noodle and a smaller
08:18meatball but it's not essentially he gets spaghettios which is a thinner noodle and and smaller
08:23meatball so i i kind of took it as a point for me there but you gotta think he's trying to make
08:29solana happy because solana's weird he's looking at him in his eyes and funny all the thing again
08:34that i told him not to do which is to lead the witness and he's like you know americans foolishly
08:43believe that spaghetti and meatballs can't you just ask him the question see what the answer is
08:48if you want to see his reaction the videos are posted on youtube when i bring up spaghetti and
08:55meatballs which is why i laugh at the very beginning it you could tell made him uncomfortable
08:59spaghetti and meatballs made him uncomfortable and if you thought that was the weirdest part of the
09:03interview you haven't seen anything yet all right so now uh we've had i i've maintained forever cookie
09:11cake is the best cake on the planet i don't understand ice cream cake at all i don't understand why you
09:17would eat ice cream with a fork and a knife and sheet cake i'm a fan of as well a public sheet cake is
09:25always good but for me cookie cake is the best so solana asked what's the best ice cream cake
09:31sheet cake cookie cake what do you think pella larson answers crowder oh cookie cake
09:40hmm i'm gonna go yeah but young that's why i'm gonna say ice cream cake because he's still in that
09:47you know how the youngsters it's like oh guess what there's a birthday party you're gonna get ice cream
09:51cake you know was he like 20 21 yeah he's young 22 yeah i think he's still an ice cream cake kind of
09:58fella i'm gonna say ice cream cake ice cream cake as well all right let's listen to pella larson what's
10:06the best cake out of these three ice cream cake cookie cake or just your traditional sheet cake like a
10:15normal cake you'd buy at the supermarket well i don't know what a cookie cake is but it doesn't matter
10:21because the right answer is ice cream cake i knew it the uh the middle part the crunchies in the middle
10:27oh crunchy do you have you ever had the ice cream cake with that in the middle i don't know ice cream
10:32in general is always a winner for me so it doesn't matter which one it is right but ice cream
10:38pella is good in a cone or a cup it's not good on a plate with a fork and a knife um but he doesn't
10:45even know what cookie cake is so there's my entree right there get me his home address jimmy call
10:50pella larson and ask if you can get his home address because i want to send him a cookie cake for mrs
10:54fields um what do you think spo says sheet cake old school man yep 100 he doesn't he's a basketball
11:07guy yeah so what he knows is you go to public's and you order a sheet cake because anything else
11:15is superfluous like you need a cake for someone you get a sheet cake and it's as we do this year
11:20to year it's key over he he over shares so he might even say i don't need a lot of cake but when i do
11:27he always has a little little preface jimmy what do you think spo says i'm gonna say ice cream cake
11:33i think that's the least of his favorite cakes i think he's with me on that one let's uh let's
11:39listen to spo ice cream cake cookie cake or just your plain sheet cake it's a chocolate cake with
11:46ice cream inside of it i like it when that's at birthday parties for the kids and they have like
11:50the little crunchies inside better yeah i just like the the combination of the the chocolate with uh
11:56with ice cream kindred spirits so i mean yeah because he went to what his kids like yeah because
12:04he his kids are of age to go to all these birthday parties so he's like yeah i i think you need to
12:10re-ask that question solana you meet with him before the games don't you i do sometimes yeah
12:14can you re-ask can you re-ask that question sunday before the knicks game you guys realize spo has
12:19like no body fat percentage right he's not carrying around moves like the two of you this guy's not
12:23eating cake unless his kids are eating cake well when the hell do you think i'm eating what do you
12:28think i have a cake over here i'm nursing one coke zero in four hours you think i have a cake next to
12:37me somewhere um how about davion mitchell oh ice cream see i i think i'm gonna try to go back he's
12:49talking about being out with the ladies having the aperol spritz i think uh cake with frosting
12:55is gonna be his move there i think it's the smoother move so i'm gonna go sheet cake for
13:02davion ice cream's more sensual he already brought up the ladies they still he's on his mind with the
13:08aperol spritz ice cream jimmy i'm gonna say cookie cake cookie cake all right going off the board let's

13:21or just sheet cake regular sheet cake that you buy from the store i'm gonna be a little bit selfish
13:27for you like i think that like if i'm getting a cake i like i will want to eat it so like i usually
13:32don't eat cake but i would say that the best cake you know ice cream cake ice cream cake yeah i think
13:37has you know the crunchies in the middle that's the best part yeah i think that that's what i get just
13:41because i can feel like i can i can eat it too i mean can you imagine all these adults talking about
13:46crunchies and everyone lights up when he mentions crunchies what is wrong with everyone
13:52texture nobody needs texture in their food you need crunchies in your fettuccine alfredo
14:00you'd send it back if there were crunchies ice cream is smooth what about the everything
14:08seasoning that puts a little crunch on the bagel boom no it's for the seasoning it's not for the
14:13baby on guy he talks sexy he did man he got he was like ice cream why didn't you invite him over

14:33excellent all right one more um again this has been a constant argument on this show crowder flies a
14:42lot i always say hey shoot uh shoot your loved ones a text take it off now or when you land we're
14:48landing now and not even just family it can be friends like us when you like you're in houston right
14:55now it would have been nice when you took off i don't know when you went this morning last night
14:59if you shot us a text on the thread hey taking off now and it would have been nice when you landed
15:04it we because you know we didn't know until you signed on today if you had made it to houston i
15:08knew you were going but you you uh you'd gone zero dark 30 so i think that's common courtesy
15:13waste of time it's not a waste of time you let your loved ones know that uh that you're taking off
15:18and that you're landing uh what do you think davion mitchell says about this i think he'll agree with
15:25you honestly yeah i think uh this is a young people social media look at me i'm traveling thing
15:32i i would just like to point out you're gonna hear me bring up his mom
15:36here but it's because we had a conversation previously about him kind of assimilating to
15:41miami moved his mom down he has a very strong relationship specifically if he texts his mom
15:45i mentioned his family but i do specifically talk about his mom because um she uh she had a battle
15:52cancer overcame it we we kind of well so do you ask him specifically if he texts his mom mom and
15:57family i bring up mom and well then for sure the answer is yes if you made it that specific if it's
16:03like do you text your mom then for sure the answer is yes jimmy i'm gonna say yes it'd be funny jimmy
16:10if you said no he hates his mom i wouldn't say that all right let's hear what davion mitchell has to say
16:16do you text your mom or a family member before you take off on the airplane and then after you
16:23land just to let them know are you checking in i probably should my mom actually gets mad that i
16:28don't um but i don't do all the time so she yells at me all the time and say why don't you text me or
16:34tell me yeah check in with the fan i actually got to do better i'm glad you said i'm gonna do better
16:37with that all right so he at least crowder is open to changing his ways you're not open to it i think
16:45you're making a mistake davion mitchell immediately realized he's on the wrong side of the argument
16:49and is now on my side yeah he's a baby if mom lives with him maybe i can understand that but
16:55as a grown man texting y'all this morning at 720 you wanted to text from me it would have been nice

17:18loved ones when flying what do you think i think i think these babies i think these kids all do it
17:24yeah so and where is he from sweden he's from sweden yeah yeah and he's foreign his parents are worried
17:30about him being in america and swedish people are notoriously nice and thoughtful are they really
17:38i don't know um but i know when i click on the swedish category on some of my favorite websites
17:45they seem very nice and cordial very giving jimmy what do you think pella larson says i'm gonna say

17:58before you take off and then when you land just to check in just to let them know hey
18:03hey i'm good everything's okay um i think it's it's transition from my family to my girlfriend
18:10it's okay she's more into my day-to-day life than my my family so i mean if i'm going to sweden i'll
18:18for sure let them know like yo i'm here but that's they gotta pick me up too so that's you need the
18:23ride i need a ride but yeah i do but but he does okay he does with his girlfriend the more yeah i mean
18:30that that sometimes supplants the uh the family the the current uh spouse or girlfriend so young
18:37kids are more mature than y'all are finally eric spolstra you think he checks in with family and
18:45loved ones remember he's got kids and i don't know if they have phones yet i don't know if they're of
18:49age to have phones but uh do you think he checks in no old soul just too focused on the game game
18:57planning no way he's worried about this foolishness i also think that he's not interested in people
19:02knowing where he is all the time whether he's landed or not i think he likes to get to a city
19:07and just kind of hey i'm gonna do whatever i feel like doing right now i don't and he's recently
19:13divorced i don't need to check in with anybody that's part of the the the package for some reason
19:19i think spole gets his warm nuts in first class and sets up a basketball court and starts moving them
19:25around he moves the nuts as if they like he's scheming plays the almonds are defense yeah almonds
19:33are defense cashews are offense ma'am can i get three more nuts here because i've only got seven
19:38on the uh on the court and he gives them the ira
19:42ira puts him in a bag for later jimmy what do you think spole i think he does do it all right
19:52let's listen to eric spolstrom do you text your family before and after the flight so in other
19:58words you sit down before the flight takes off do you almost send like a some sort of like hey taking
20:03off and then when you land you let everybody you check in with the fam well uh this summer uh the
20:09majority of my well if you're talking about my family with my kids right seven five and three they
20:15don't have phones they don't have phones so i'm not texting and hopefully that doesn't happen for a
20:18while uh um so uh i'm usually with my kids during the summer right um and i'm not texting what about
20:28the folks you still you check in with them or is that bad i i should say yes but definitely not before
20:36and after a flight i mean i'm i'm i'm 31 i'm i'm engaged but i'll still let the fam know like hey
20:41flying out yeah okay you gotta let them know you're okay all right i'll be more intentional
20:45about that next time all right i i i think again like davion mitchell he's like yeah i i've recognized
20:53the error in my ways and i'm gonna correct that hawk do you think that solana is about to adjust
20:59davion mitchell or eric spolstrom's habits by i believe he has i i think i i changed spose course
21:07of action before and after flights i truly believe that spose gonna call what his parents 80
21:13even more reason to shoot him a text let you know that uh we made it no they don't even know what's
21:19going on he's doing a lot of traveling with uh team usa that's the thing too when travel is
21:26do pilots do it would you think a pilot every time they take off or land they call somebody when you
21:31travel a lot they just all he did no it just saw it in the movie so i saw it so he did my neighbor's
21:39a pilot always he would text me all right that was delightful that is an excellent job solana that
