00:00Delight.
00:22Please welcome your host, Fleur East.
00:30Hello and welcome to It Takes Two on BBC Two and iPlayer.
00:36It's Tuesday, it's mid-October and it's oh, so chilly outside.
00:40But there's no time to feel hung up because we at It Takes Two are here at your bet and call.
00:47And good news, tonight our show has a real ring to it.
00:51At the weekend, our gladiator showed his true strength by turning up the heat with a sensual, rhythmic, romantic rumba.
00:58But how does Harry feel about having another passion-filled performance on the horizon this week?
01:04And on Saturday, Ellie and Vito close the evening with a showstopper that lit up the ballroom and every living room across the nation.
01:11They'll be here to relive the highs of going up, up, up the leaderboard later in the show.
01:16Plus, Neil Jones is back with Choreography Corner.
01:20And this week, he's been making so many notes, he's knee-deep in it.
01:24LAUGHTER
01:30But first up, Team Balian.
01:32After surviving last week's dance-off, they came back fighting with a fiery flamenco-fuelled Paso Doble.
01:38But the red light struck again.
01:41So the fight continued, they grabbed the ball by the horns and charged their way into Icons Week.
01:46Ole!
01:47You've got to watch your feet, that they don't turn in, and especially when you stop, they end up...
01:57You have that power of giving dance life.
02:00You're so intense about it.
02:02So keep fighting, keep going, watch those feet, and you are a powerhouse, without a doubt.
02:08You really gave a true flavour of what a Paso Doble is.
02:18Please welcome our Vinda and Julian!
02:21Now, after performing a Paso with so much fight, what emotions did you feel when the red light struck again?
02:28Oh, I think my heart just sank.
02:31It was really... I felt quite disappointed.
02:34I thought we'd done enough, you know, to come back after the week previous,
02:39where we were again in the bottom two.
02:41Yeah, I was crushed.
02:43Yeah, well, it is such a crushing feeling, like being in the dance-off two weeks in a row.
02:47What did you say to Bal before you went out there to motivate her to dance again?
02:51To be honest, I didn't really say much, because, you know, we'd actually...
02:56We'd just been in there seven days ago, so...
02:59But all I said was...
03:01Because I think in those situations where it's high pressure, it's high stress, you know,
03:05sometimes the more you say and the more you try to think, you know, the worse it is.
03:10That's true.
03:11So I just said, Bal, you did amazing, you were great.
03:14It hasn't... You know, I don't...
03:17Definitely don't think we were there based on, you know, dance-ability or anything like that.
03:20So I said, you know what, just go out there, just do exactly the same thing again, just enjoy yourself.
03:24I asked him to go for a walk around the VIP tent and I was like, tell me some jokes.
03:29Got any jokes?
03:30Which was really stressful, because I don't have any material.
03:33Be funny, be funny.
03:34So she was like, because my humour is just like banter.
03:38I'm not like a...
03:40You know, I was like, where's the blob when you need her?
03:42That's so funny.
03:43Well, the new rules meant that Craig saved you.
03:45Yeah.
03:46How did that feel?
03:47Oh, I mean, I am so grateful for Craig, actually.
03:50And he's one of the scariest of judges, I think, you know.
03:53Yes.
03:54But that...
03:55But Sunday night, he saved us and I don't...
03:57I can't thank him enough.
03:59I was really, really grateful.
04:00Yeah, and Craig saved Bal because of her quality and technical ability.
04:04How much hope does that give you about the potential of this partnership moving forwards?
04:08I mean, I've known, you know, since...
04:11I mean, since the pairing day where we did a five-second waltz.
04:14Since the start.
04:15You know, that Bal has it in her.
04:18And I'm just so grateful that we have the opportunity to keep going,
04:23to keep dancing because there is just a wonderful, incredible dancer in there
04:28that is just starting to come out.
04:30Aww.
04:31And, yeah, we just have to...
04:33We just have to keep working.
04:34We just have to keep fighting.
04:36You know, in Australia, we love an underdog.
04:38Yeah, exactly.
04:39And, you know, so we just have to keep doing our thing.
04:41And I always, you know, I always tell Bal just before we go out and dance,
04:44it's just you and me, so let's just go out there and do it.
04:46I love that.
04:47Let's go back to Saturday and talk about the skirtography, which Shirley had applauded, okay?
04:51She said it was really hard to work the skirt without getting tangled up.
04:55Look at you go.
04:56Look at you.
04:57How difficult was it for Bal to master the skirtography?
05:00So, I mean, actually, what was even scarier was that in the dress run,
05:04because it was the first time that Bal had actually practiced with that skirt.
05:07Oh, I see.
05:08Wow.
05:09It was a different feel, different shape to the skirt that we'd been practicing with.
05:13And actually, we kind of slightly messed up a bit because we were getting a little bit tangled in the skirt.
05:19And so, anytime you include, you know, let's call...
05:23I actually kept saying that the dance this week was a trio.
05:26There was Bal, there was me, and then there was the skirt.
05:28And the skirt.
05:29Yeah.
05:30And so, anytime you include, you know, some other variables, you know, it can throw you off.
05:34But I actually, Bal took it on like a pro, and I actually really think it enhanced the dance.
05:39Yeah.
05:40I think it really brought up.
05:41What was your alter ego?
05:42Oh.
05:43Oh, I can't remember the name.
05:44I can't remember.
05:45Bal had a Spanish alter ego, and I really think they really made it come out.
05:48Oh, I can't remember.
05:49Yeah, I saw it.
05:50I was like, whoa.
05:51Balejandra.
05:52Balejandra.
05:53Balejandra.
05:54Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:55I love that.
05:56You made it look so easy.
05:57And ultimately, you are through.
05:59You are through.
06:00You survived another dance-off.
06:01Let's look forward to Icons Week.
06:03You'll be dancing a quick step to this.
06:06Ooh.
06:07Beyonce's chart-topping single, Texas Hold'em.
06:12About how does it feel to embody the character of Beyonce?
06:15I mean, they're pretty big boots to fill, right?
06:19But how exciting that we get the chance to burst out onto stage as Beyonce.
06:24Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it.
06:26I think it's going to be...
06:27It's going to be fun.
06:28And how are you giving the quick step a Queen Bee flavour, Jules?
06:32Well, I've got Queen Bee here already.
06:34Yay!
06:35This is too good!
06:36Yes!
06:37I had that one prepared, Dory.
06:38I'll tell you later.
06:39I'll tell you later.
06:40I'll tell you later.
06:41Well, obviously, like, this particular song is slightly different to your normal kind of Beyonce pop.
06:47It has a bit more of that country kind of feel to it.
06:50And so I'm actually, I'm really, really excited for this routine because I've put in a little bit of a country feel, a little bit of a line dancing feel.
06:57Ooh, that's great.
06:58And then, you know, we've got a couple, you know, a bit of a podium moment and all the kind of Beyonce-ness that the routine needs.
07:06We've got cowboy hats to play with and all sorts of stuff.
07:08Yeah, exactly.
07:09We've got cowboy hats.
07:10It's a proper shindig.
07:11Wow.
07:12So it was three of you with the skirt and now it's going to be multiples.
07:15Yeah, now there's four of us.
07:16Yeah, there's four of you.
07:17Maybe the week after there'll be five of us.
07:18Who knows?
07:19Who knows?
07:20Just keep adding props.
07:21Now, your mantra last week was, I am calm, I am confident, I am strong.
07:26What's the mantra this week?
07:27I think it's the same.
07:28I think it's the same, really.
07:29I think it has to be.
07:30Also, when you think Beyonce, you think someone who's calm, who's confident and who's...
07:35We can add powerful in there.
07:36She's powerful.
07:37Yes.
07:38But in that kind of controlled and understated way, you know, she's not going out telling
07:43you, watch me, watch me.
07:44She just stands there and you're like, wow.
07:46Her music also brings communities together, right?
07:48Yeah.
07:49It transcends.
07:50So that's the kind of vision for this week, to bring people to us, to get them to vote.
07:55And just have a party.
07:56Well, the thing is, one of Beyonce's mantras is, I'm a survivor.
08:00And you are just that.
08:01Exactly.
08:02Okay.
08:03Good luck with training.
08:04Valvinda and Julian.
08:05As we approach Icons Week, who better to chat about our remaining couples than the iconic
08:13Neil Jones.
08:14It's time for Choreography Corner.
08:16It's Neil Jones, everybody.
08:17Stop it.
08:18Stop it.
08:19Stop it.
08:20Okay, six couples to talk about, so let's get straight to it.
08:26Let's start with Alex and Johannes and that rumba.
08:29Wow.
08:30They topped the leaderboard.
08:31Shirley said she'd never seen legs work like that in all her years on Strictly.
08:39What do you think made this rumba so special?
08:40Do you know what it was?
08:41It was Jojo.
08:42It was the magic of Jojo.
08:43He is so clever.
08:44What he did is he made sure the only thing we were looking at were those feet and those
09:01legs.
09:02Yes.
09:03To the dress, to the choreography.
09:05It was so simple and that's what was so beautiful about it.
09:08Because honestly, he did.
09:09He made sure all of the choreography was so simple that we could just look at the feet and
09:13see the articulation of how they were moving, how the legs were moving.
09:17There was no extra flair to it.
09:20He made it all about that.
09:22And I know myself, I was even watching.
09:23She could have had a bird flying on her head.
09:25I would have had no idea because I was looking at the legs the whole time.
09:28All about the legs and the feet.
09:30Well done.
09:31On to Lewis and Katya and the Foxtrot.
09:33Craig felt that sometimes Lewis put too much power into the moves, making them look jagged.
09:38Did you agree?
09:39Honestly, I actually didn't agree.
09:41I actually found it, the energy, the flow.
09:45I found it really beautiful as he was going through.
09:48If there was any little moments he had, that was purely because it was accents in the music
09:52and that's what you show.
09:53You see it there.
09:54His energy, he's so graceful as he's going through.
09:56Now, what it could be that he was talking about, the little jagged action, is actually
10:00could be coming from the line and the tracking of the feet.
10:03Do you know what?
10:04Let me show you.
10:05Let's have a bit of demo time.
10:07It's time.
10:10I love this.
10:11Now, so if you're dancing some ballroom, you want to try and have a feel that everything
10:15is moving on the line, whether it's forward or back that you're moving through.
10:19Now, what starts to happen a little bit, and it is improving, I want to point that out.
10:22He is improving on it.
10:23He has a turnout.
10:24Oh.
10:25And what happens if you have a turnout, if you're going forward and then you place,
10:28instead of it rocking forward and going on, as the turnout, it makes it go off to the side slightly.
10:34Oh.
10:35So that's just something to work on.
10:36If he's going back again, if he has a turnout, it just blocks the motion.
10:40So it's just that alignment.
10:41It can feel very weird, especially when you go from Latin, where we're after a turnout,
10:45come back to a ballroom and we say, no turnout.
10:47You know?
10:48It's just so confusing.
10:49It's confusing.
10:50But it's improving, and that's what I like.
10:52OK.
10:53On to Lavoie and Aliash and the cha-cha-cha.
10:55Now, the judges spotted lots of mistakes in this routine.
10:58When things don't quite go to plan out there, how tricky is it to pick up the routine and keep performing?
11:03It's quite hard.
11:04It's very hard.
11:05And I'm just going to say, I've been in that position where I've had my partner do the exact same thing.
11:09You have it here.
11:10Aliash was great.
11:11It got to that moment.
11:12He tried everything going through.
11:13And it was at that moment he went, no, stay still.
11:16We're going into the lockstep.
11:17This is what's happening.
11:18And you sometimes have to do it.
11:20I had it last year, exactly the same with Toya.
11:22I felt her going.
11:23I had to just pick her up, put her back down again.
11:26Let's go.
11:27It's very difficult because for the celebs, they get used to what they're doing.
11:31If you just have that little block that happens at that moment, you're trying to figure out where to go next.
11:37For the partner, it's exactly the same because we're going, stay still so we can help you.
11:42You know, so that's the thing.
11:43But what I'd say, don't worry about it.
11:45It's gone.
11:46That's last week.
11:47It's a new week.
11:48Move on.
11:49And I'm sure it will not happen again.
11:50That's it.
11:51Reset.
11:52Keep it moving forward.
11:53Okay.
11:54On to Jimmy and Lauren and the couple's choice.
11:55Now, Craig said that Jimmy needs to dance to his size and make bigger, cleaner shapes as the routine lacked focus.
12:01How can Jimmy work on expanding his movement?
12:04Craig's not going to be happy with me because I have to disagree.
12:06Again?
12:07I have to.
12:08I'm sorry.
12:09I have to disagree.
12:10It's not about that.
12:11The style is not about that.
12:12For me, he got it right.
12:14It's internal.
12:15The moment the music picked up, this is when he went big.
12:19This is the moment and that's what it was about.
12:21The rest of the time, this is the style.
12:24It's like, if it's small and it's in, you have to go with that.
12:27Dancing is not always, it doesn't always have to be big.
12:30And what I'd say to Craig is, get yourself to the Caribbean.
12:33Get yourself to the Caribbean.
12:35I love it.
12:36Okay.
12:37On to Karen and Carlos and their quick step.
12:39Now, Anton felt that there was a little bit of gapping.
12:41What can Karen do to improve that connection with Carlos when she's in hold?
12:44When she started.
12:45Okay.
12:46I'm going to say with this, I'm going to say it actually is improving.
12:49There's a one little moment you're going to see in a minute.
12:51They're coming around and you see that little bit of gap there.
12:53Yes.
12:54Now, it happened occasionally every now and again.
12:56There was moments where they chose to be away from each other and chose to be with each other.
13:00Now, that's going to be fine.
13:02It's going to improve.
13:03What you can do to help it.
13:05Do you know what?
13:06Can we have a double demo time?
13:07Oh!
13:08It's a double demo time!
13:09I honestly want this at home and I just go demo time.
13:14So, when you're dancing around and you've got to try to find...
13:16I can't do this on my own.
13:17Fleur, come here.
13:18Okay.
13:19We're going to have to do this together.
13:20Now, first of all, what you want to do is find a point of connection.
13:23It could be on your leg, it could be on your rib.
13:25You drop your arms and you find that connection as you're moving around.
13:28Now, if I start walking backwards, you move with me and we find that connection.
13:32If I move towards you, we move together.
13:35Basically, that's the way you train it.
13:37Oh!
13:38You just move around together and it gets bigger.
13:40You get more confident in it.
13:42The best way to do it, if you're going for lunch, do it.
13:44If you're going for a coffee...
13:45Just walk to the shops.
13:46Just stick on each other.
13:47It could be on your leg, hip, wherever you want.
13:49Walk around together.
13:50Do everything together.
13:51It's a full-time commitment.
13:52Full-time commitment.
13:53Oh, yeah.
13:54And you all see the improvement.
13:55But I...
13:56Honestly, I love that dance.
13:57I thought she was brilliant.
13:58Yes, okay.
13:59Next up, George and Alexis and their tango.
14:01Now, Craig felt that George needed to hold a stronger Y frame.
14:04How could he improve that for future ballroom dances?
14:07Oh!
14:08I actually love this frame.
14:10Oh!
14:11I loved it.
14:12I thought the improvement in this frame from their first ballroom dance to this was incredible.
14:15And you see that there.
14:16He has a beautiful vertical line.
14:19He's dropped into his legs, which looks great.
14:22And that's really important because there is a height difference.
14:24Ah.
14:25And for a man, when you're dancing with your partner and they're lower down,
14:28you have to get deeper into your legs.
14:30Now, what happened on his first ballroom dance, he went forward.
14:34Now, on this, he's already in a vertical line and it looks more powerful.
14:38So, for me, that's a massive improvement to see...
14:41Normally, that would take another four more weeks.
14:44The fact that he's doing that already, high hopes.
14:46And I actually think that should have been scored higher.
14:48OK.
14:49Well, it's icons week on Saturday, which is a big themed week.
14:52What advice would you give to all the celebs?
14:55Be who you're going to be.
14:56So, you have to dress.
14:58From that moment you walk in on Saturday, you are that character.
15:02You are that personality.
15:03Act like they would act.
15:04Because if you really embrace that person, we will see that on the floor.
15:08Embody the character.
15:09Yes.
15:10Go full method.
15:11Exactly.
15:12Love it.
15:13Great advice.
15:14Well, thanks so much for that, Neil.
15:16It's Neil Jones, everyone.
15:20Next up, Harry and Karen.
15:22The rumba had a beautiful blue backdrop.
15:25Great choreography.
15:26And, hmm, anything else?
15:28The chemistry.
15:29The chemistry.
15:30And the narrative.
15:31And the story line.
15:32And the sensuality.
15:34Oh, yes.
15:35And that.
15:36Here's a reminder.
15:37I would like a bit more movement through the hips.
15:41But I had quite a lot of movement through the body.
15:43So, I was pleased with that.
15:44All in all, wow.
15:45That was a good echo.
15:48You were there for her.
15:49I mean, she went up, down, left, right.
15:51We saw her flying.
15:52And you can only do that with a good central line.
15:56You need to learn to try and dance to and from each step.
16:01But I have to say, you presented Karen beautifully.
16:07OK, that rumba was so rauchy.
16:14It resulted in this reaction from Motsi and Shirley.
16:17Can we all speak about the chemistry?
16:21It went off.
16:24It went off.
16:30Motsi and Shirley clearly couldn't get over your chemistry.
16:36Now, as someone who identifies as goofy.
16:38Yeah.
16:39How surprised were you by this reaction?
16:41Massively surprised.
16:42I feel like most people didn't know how to speak to me after.
16:47It was one of those ones where people walk up to you and they're like,
16:50Hi?
16:51Like, their viewpoint had me changed.
16:53But I think too many people have read too many books and that romantic scene
16:57that they see kind of like was in front of them.
16:59But I thought dancing was one thing.
17:01But I learnt that you got to embrace the music, feel the music.
17:04And I think I tried to do that.
17:06No, you did.
17:07You did that.
17:08Karen's forehead.
17:09You gave it to them.
17:10You gave it to them.
17:11You gave it to them.
17:12You gave it.
17:13You've been giving it to them.
17:14Honestly, Karen, AKA JLo.
17:15What?
17:16Yes.
17:17You said in the Claudatorium that you're both not the sexy kind.
17:21We're not.
17:22Look at us.
17:23Allegedly.
17:24Look at me.
17:25Well, how impressed were you with Harry's ability to turn it on?
17:27I mean, dude, come on.
17:30I couldn't even, I didn't, I, I, yeah.
17:34I didn't know.
17:35I didn't know.
17:36And now I know.
17:37But super proud because on Monday and Tuesday we were both like,
17:40I don't even know how this is going to happen.
17:42Yeah.
17:43And then Wednesday we were like, okay.
17:44Yeah.
17:45You know, first chapter.
17:46Okay.
17:47Then we went to the 14th chapter and I was like, I'm in.
17:51I will buy this book all day.
17:53I was going to say, and then Saturday you finished the whole book.
17:55It was, it was amazing.
17:56I was really proud of him.
17:58You know what?
17:59It was a massive turnaround from the entire week.
18:01And on Friday when we went into the studio, I saw the turnaround.
18:04And then Saturday it was, that was it.
18:07And so thank you for trusting the process.
18:09As always.
18:10I've got to embrace it right.
18:11That's what we're here for.
18:12Exactly.
18:13You're throwing yourself in.
18:14Yeah.
18:15And we love to see it.
18:16You had your fellow gladiators.
18:17Oh yeah.
18:18Giant and Hammer.
18:19Older Giant and Hammer.
18:20Yeah.
18:21They scrub up well, didn't they?
18:22Yeah.
18:23I'll say it again.
18:24It's so funny.
18:25Us gladiators, we can wear clothes.
18:26We've done the Lycra, but we do like a little dress up as well.
18:29So yeah, having the support is amazing.
18:30Genuinely.
18:31I don't think people realise how daunting this process is.
18:33Yeah.
18:34Look, I've been on the world stage.
18:35I've competed against, you know, the likes of Usain Bolt.
18:37And also, you know, I've taken a pugil stick to the head on a few occasions and also given it.
18:41But strictly, you know, going up in front of those judges and everyone at home, it's so different.
18:46But, you know, I'm embracing it, so to have any type of support is really appreciated.
18:49What did they think of your raunchy side, though?
18:51It's a very different side to what they usually see.
18:53Like I said, Nitro is a goofy guy.
18:55Nitro fills everything in terms of anything positive.
18:59So to see me sort of a little bit, you know, I'm simmering.
19:02I'm not boiling.
19:03I'm not jumping around the place.
19:04It was a nice simmering.
19:05They really appreciated it.
19:06They thought, they appreciated how tough it was, but they were backing me.
19:09Well, you're not boiling yet.
19:10You're not boiling yet.
19:11And you're carrying the passion through to Icons Week.
19:14You're dancing in Argentine tango to this.
19:20That's caught up by Usher.
19:22Why is Usher such an icon to you, Harry?
19:25He's an icon to me.
19:26Purely, like, when you look at the longevity of his career.
19:29Yes.
19:30The guy has, you know, gone from what, early, well, late 1990s,
19:35all the way through till now.
19:37He's made so many tunes and songs that people can vibe to,
19:39that have partied to, that have made babies to,
19:41that have done all sorts of things, right?
19:43So, you know, he is a bit of an icon in that regard.
19:47And to be able to, there's always an Usher song
19:49that everyone can dance to you, right?
19:50Yes.
19:51So I'm thankful that we get to dance to one.
19:52Yeah, what an icon to dance to.
19:54This is so cool.
19:55And as you said on the result show, Karen,
19:57this will be your first Argentine tango in 13 years.
20:01Yes, it's been a long time.
20:02With a celeb partner.
20:03With a celeb partner.
20:04I'm dusting and the cobwebs are out.
20:06I'm literally cleaning up.
20:07We've dusted for you, actually.
20:08We've dusted for you, actually.
20:09Because the last one you did was with Nicky Byrne.
20:10Yes.
20:11In 2012.
20:12Oh.
20:13You scored a 30.
20:14I look like JLo there, too.
20:15You look the same.
20:16Are you a vampire?
20:17She hasn't even aged.
20:18She hasn't aged.
20:19What is going on?
20:20What kind of a look at a mirror?
20:21Can we check your reflection, please?
20:23No.
20:24How do you feel about doing another, like, serious, intense dance?
20:28You know what?
20:29I think it's a...
20:30Last week was a great preparation for this week.
20:32This week, obviously, it's going to be a little bit more intense.
20:34There's more lifts, tricks.
20:35The time is completely different.
20:37Even the hold, the footwork is different.
20:40So...
20:41But the fact that we got that start with the rumba of not laughing at each other.
20:45Yes.
20:46So, I think that that diversity and that sensuality is really going to come in handy this week as well.
20:51Mm-hm.
20:52And choreographers Leandro and Maria are back with this one.
20:54Yes.
20:55What can we look forward to?
20:56Um...
20:57A story.
20:58A storyline.
20:59It's very based...
21:00Storyline-based.
21:01You know, he is the pop star and I am the pop star music girl.
21:05Are you the video girl?
21:07A video girl, yes.
21:08Do you remember them?
21:09Yes.
21:10Yes.
21:11Yes.
21:12I think it's going to be full of pop and artistry and a lot of Argentine tango.
21:17And lines.
21:18And lines.
21:19I know.
21:20Lines.
21:21And licks.
21:22Tricks.
21:23What do you call them?
21:24Spaghetti legs.
21:25Spaghetti legs.
21:26Yes.
21:27Hoping not to be kicked or do any kicking.
21:29Yes, yes.
21:30That threw me off, man.
21:31Yeah, do the flicks, not the kicking.
21:33Yeah.
21:34Last week, you described the rumba as, you know, getting all cosy in bed.
21:37Yes, yes, yes.
21:38So, what description have you got?
21:39It's early days, but how's the artisting tango?
21:41So, there's a bit of urgency with this, right?
21:43Oh, yeah.
21:44In terms of having a bit of, you know, intention and every movement has purpose.
21:48So, I've kind of had to think that, like, you know, I've had to rush away from a meeting
21:52to use the bathroom, but I'm running back from the bathroom really quickly.
21:56So, I'm walking through the train station with a bit of urgency because there's a sense
21:59of leaning forward, but I've got some tissue stuck to my foot, so I've got to try and get
22:03it off at the same time.
22:05So, I'm walking with that urgency, the lean forward with the walk, but I'm not trying
22:08to sprint because I'm wearing a suit.
22:09So, I'm walking fast and getting that tissue off.
22:11Well, I look forward to seeing you on the commute.
22:13Good luck with the rest of training.
22:15It's Harry and Karen.
22:16Next up, Ellie and Vito with a couple's choice that brought the audience to their feet
22:25and tears to Motsi's eyes.
22:26It's fair to say that performance was the very definition of golden.
22:30OMG, darling.
22:35Wow, what a display in self-expression.
22:40It was strong, it was powerful, and I know so many young girls are there watching you.
22:48They're going to want to be on stage like you.
22:50Well done.
22:51Ellie, that was amazing.
22:54Yay, Avisa!
22:59Yay!
23:00Yes!
23:01Now, before we get stuck in, we need to talk about that ending.
23:06Everything about it was pure and utter joy.
23:09Ellie, talk us through your feelings as the confetti shower rained down.
23:13Excited and nervous.
23:15I was comforted in all the lyrics and you were the best partner for me.
23:22Aw, thank you.
23:23Not only the best man in the whole world, but all the man, Nats, had me on a perfect day
23:30and the great partner in my life.
23:32Aw!
23:33I'm very happy to be with you, you know?
23:36Rightfully, Vito, that dance was a celebration of Ellie.
23:39Which moments in the dance do you think celebrated Ellie's character most accurately?
23:44So, at the moment that we started, I said to Ellie, I want you to be like a superhero.
23:49Yes.
23:50Like strong, powerful and slick, yeah?
23:52And after once we touched the floor, I wanted you to just blossom and be yourself 110%.
23:57And I did.
23:58And you did.
23:59Like from the beginning until the end, yeah?
24:01At the end it was like, yeah, we had this kind of position like a star.
24:04Yes.
24:05We wanted to do it at the end.
24:06It was just you in all your beauty, yeah?
24:09And Vito, how much can you see the improvement in Ellie week on week?
24:13Honestly, every week we set the goals we want to achieve and say like, okay Ellie, now
24:18we need to improve based on the feedback from the judges.
24:21Okay.
24:22We have to kind of put layers.
24:23We start with the cha-cha-cha and it was like a structure.
24:25On walls we add the details, technique.
24:27Samba.
24:28Yeah, in samba and now a couple choice.
24:31It's just, you know, amazing how quick you can improve, no?
24:35We say this every day, you know, and I send you a voice message at the end of the day.
24:38Oh, what, what?
24:39Every day.
24:40What, what?
24:41This voice message is so unpredictable.
24:44It's really clear.
24:46The voice is so smooth.
24:48It's the best voice ever.
24:51Literally, I have all the people to this week, like this year, actually, that are so long.
24:57Like five minutes long.
24:59Five minutes?
25:00That are the best?
25:01Yeah.
25:02Good partner.
25:03Let's go.
25:04Oh, you guys.
25:05An emotional Motsy said this.
25:06She said, I know so many young girls are there and watching you.
25:09They're going to want to be on stage like you.
25:12And she wasn't wrong.
25:13This video of seven-year-old Eleanor, who's been watching you over the last few weeks from
25:18her living room, has gone viral on both the Mantons and the CBB's parenting Instagram accounts.
25:23Check this out.
25:24I can't wait.
25:25That's me.
25:26Who is he?
25:27Who?
25:28Ellie?
25:29I like it.
25:30Oh, Ellie.
25:31Look at the positive impact you're making.
25:32What does that video mean to you?
25:34The proud, privileged, honoured and expression of people to ever in the world.
25:35Yes, it's beautiful to see the influence you're having.
25:36You're through to icons week.
25:37Yeah.
25:38Yay!
25:39And you'll be performing a salsa to a medley of Spice Girls songs, including them.
25:40The best of all you have is the best of all you have.
25:41You're the best of all you have.
25:42You're the best of all you have.
25:43You're the best of all you have.
25:44You're the best of all you have.
25:45You're the best of all you have.
25:46The best of all you have is you have to be the best of all you have.
25:47And you can tell everybody.
25:48I like it.
25:49Oh, Ellie.
25:50Look at the positive impact you're making.
25:51What does that video mean to you?
25:52The proud, privilege, honoured and amazing expression of people to ever in the world.
25:55Yes, it's beautiful to see the influence you're having.
25:57You're through to Icons week.
25:58Yay!
25:59Yay!
26:00Yay!
26:01And you'll be performing a salsa to a medley of Spice Girls songs, including this.
26:08Woo!
26:09Yeah.
26:10That's who do you think you are?
26:11Shun.
26:12Ellie.
26:13You mentioned on the results show that you'll be giving baby spice this weekend.
26:17Yeah.
26:18So, Vita, why do you think that she believes you'd make a good scary spice?
26:21Oh, yeah!
26:22I want to know.
26:23Yeah, why do you think I have to be a scary spice?
26:24I always smile and laugh so much.
26:25I mean, I would be the worst scary spice ever.
26:28But we agreed, we agreed, that because I bring food every week, yeah, at the end of the week,
26:33for you, I can be chef spice.
26:35Chef spice, that's good.
26:36Yes!
26:37Yes!
26:38And the event I could be just a spice boy.
26:40No, actually.
26:41It's called chef spice.
26:42No, actually.
26:43No, actually.
26:44I don't know what it could be.
26:45It could be a cherry cherry cherry spice.
26:47I can be for you like a very spicy chicken, the way you like.
26:51Spicy chicken?
26:52We're the deal, yeah?
26:53Yeah, we'll work on your name, Vita.
26:55Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
26:56So, Matt Flint has choreographed this salsa.
26:58Can you tease us, give us some exclusives?
27:00What can we look forward to?
27:01Tell us.
27:02Okay?
27:03Tell us, you know that.
27:04Sorry.
27:05So, we have this choreography, work with Matt, about more skilled, you know, and talented
27:12the hell he has.
27:13So, we have some literally splits that way on the floor.
27:16Whoa!
27:17Yeah.
27:18We have some big back bend.
27:20We have some extra lift and we have some dropping tricks on the floor.
27:26It's the speed, you know, that makes the difference.
27:28This dance is very...
27:29Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't.
27:30Because I know you can do it, yeah?
27:31Yeah.
27:32We want to challenge ourselves.
27:33Whatever.
27:34We've got to show you in your best light, Ellie, you know?
27:35I'm excited to see you.
27:36Yeah, we're going to show you.
27:37Where I've been, but Matt was a client person on earth.
27:38Matt called God, the launch show, Gupta.
27:39I saw a chef.
27:40He did.
27:41Matt Flint is very talented and it's great that you get to work with him.
27:42Yeah.
27:43All the best for this week.
27:44Cheeky team, it's Ellie and Vito!
27:46CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
27:49Well, that's it for tonight.
27:51Jeanette will be here tomorrow with Lavoie and Ali Ash and George and Alexis.
27:55And Stefan and Diane will be here to say their goodbyes.
27:57We'll also be taking a sneak peek at some of our couples in training for Icons Week and Ask the Pros returns.
28:19Have a lovely evening.
28:20Good night.
28:21This will probably sound crazy, but do you want to be in a rock band?
