00:00Please welcome your host, Jeanette Munrara.
00:30Hello, and welcome to It Takes Two.
00:33We're live on BBC Two and I play.
00:36And excuse me, excuse me, yes, you, stop what you're doing.
00:39I'm going to need your full attention because things are getting serious.
00:43It's Thursday already.
00:45We're halfway through the competition, and I can almost smell the Blackpool Sea air.
00:51So, it's time to give in to 30 minutes of glittery gossip
00:55because we have all of this to look forward to tonight.
01:00After looking a bit lost in space with their intergalactic American smooth,
01:05Harry and Karen were over the moon to land the spot in week seven.
01:08So, could their upcoming samba be truly out of this world?
01:13Amber is no longer dressed in red,
01:15but her and Nikita are still riding on the highs of Saturday nights.
01:19And this week, Amber's working extra hard to up her scores
01:23because despite dancing and salsa, she doesn't want to dip.
01:25Plus, Diane Aliash and Matt Cliff provide an exclusive first look
01:31at this weekend's truly special group performance ahead of Remembrance Day.
01:35And it wouldn't be a Thursday without her queen of the same, Vicky Gill, is here.
01:41And tonight, she's also on the sofa with Strictly's costume supervisor,
01:46Jane Marcantonio Kubicki.
01:48So much to look forward to tonight.
01:52But first, let's kick things off with a look at how Vicky, Belvinda,
01:57Lewis and Karen have been tackling training this week.
02:02The tango is fiery and all about feminine rage,
02:07which, if I'm honest, is something I can really get behind.
02:11Vicky's really taken to the acting part of this dance,
02:15maybe a little bit too well.
02:17This dance has just got to be sharp.
02:19It's got to be on point.
02:20There can't be a step out of place.
02:22There is a lot going on.
02:24But actually, I do like...
02:26What's happening?
02:27I'm working out the timing.
02:28OK.
02:29We are dancing The Couple's Choice.
02:32It's a fusion of Bhangra and Bollywood.
02:34Chama, chama, chama.
02:36It's a lot more grounded.
02:38It's a lot earthier.
02:39Boom, tap, tap, tap, boom.
02:41It's just making sure that I can move between those kind of stronger moments
02:45and the more softer, elegant moments.
02:47Purja.
02:48Purja.
02:49Purja.
02:50Sorry.
02:50I don't know what that word means.
02:51Purja.
02:52Miri.
02:54Yeah.
02:54The cha-cha-cha is absolutely brand new to me.
03:03Foot.
03:04Foot.
03:05It's very low.
03:06It's deep.
03:07It's grounded.
03:08Your feet have to act like anchors.
03:11Can you feel that?
03:13What do you feel?
03:14Pens.
03:16If you can lock them in in the right position,
03:19everything else has the ability to be fluid and free.
03:23Can we do some ballroom now, please?
03:25I think I'll hide it now.
03:27The Charleston is fun.
03:30Lots of steps.
03:31It is ridiculously fast.
03:34Upside, done.
03:35Upside, done.
03:36I can be more powerful, but that also comes with fitness,
03:39so I need to keep doing it and doing it.
03:42Her stamina is incredible,
03:44and some of the bits I think she outdanced me.
03:48Do we keep pushing, or do I give him more rest?
03:53No, don't give Carlos more rest.
03:59Keep him going.
04:00But next up,
04:02It Takes Two becomes It Takes Tool.
04:04It's putting on the glitz.
04:05It's putting on the glitz.
04:05It's Vicky Gill, everyone.
04:19Vicky, firstly, congratulations to you and the whole team
04:23for an epic Halloween week.
04:25Everybody looks incredible.
04:26Like everyone, like the entire team,
04:29because it was one of those moments, wasn't it,
04:30when the stars aligned and everybody just did their thing.
04:33Oh, honestly, well done.
04:34We loved it.
04:35I loved it.
04:35One of the best, I think.
04:36Shall we go to sketch number one?
04:38Let's see what we've got for sketch number one tonight.
04:40All right, so Belvinda, she's doing Couples' Choice.
04:43I'm really excited for this one.
04:46Talk me through it,
04:46because I believe there's going to be a bit of
04:48Bangla dancing, Sapphire's the song.
04:51Talk me through it.
04:52These weeks are always great,
04:53because Couples' Choice is obviously very personal
04:56to our performance.
04:57So we're ready to really provide.
04:59So we've got all of the traditional bases,
05:02but we have to make it function.
05:04So tomorrow morning, Belvinda will share with us
05:07how she feels, how she's feeling about the shape,
05:09how she wants to move, and then we'll embellish.
05:11But what we can definitely tell you is
05:13there is a traditional nod,
05:14so you can see within the silhouettes
05:16and the traditional shapes that we're using.
05:18It definitely will be gold.
05:19I mean, look at these details.
05:20Yeah, and we'll really build on it
05:23depending on how much movement that they're happy with.
05:26You won't miss her on the dance floor
05:27wearing all that, will you?
05:28She's going to be shiny.
05:29Very simple.
05:30Very simple and understated.
05:32Let's go to sketch number two.
05:33Let's go and see if we've got the sketch number two.
05:35So this is Karen.
05:36Yes.
05:36She's doing the Charleston.
05:38Yeah, I'm really excited
05:39because last Saturday, Karen had a blinder
05:41with an outfit that suited the sharpness
05:44of the Argentine Tangle,
05:45but this looks really traditional Charleston.
05:47Well, I feel like with Kaz,
05:49she's like a little power rocket, isn't she?
05:53She's compact and quick.
05:54Yeah, and I think that, again,
05:56she doesn't need anything at this stage of the game.
05:57They don't need anything that's going to hinder them.
05:59So we're hopefully using
06:01chocolate brown, black and cream,
06:03I've just popped this here
06:04because I'm hoping that this print finds its way,
06:07but it might not.
06:08I love how you said it might not.
06:10It's not depending on Carlos.
06:11It could be.
06:12So we've got,
06:15it's a masculine, feminine vibe
06:17so that we've got chocolate at the neck,
06:19very small neck detail
06:20because don't want to get anything in the way,
06:22black braces,
06:23cream blouse
06:24with an exaggerated cuff and sleeve detail
06:26going into a little skort,
06:28which we will be having lots of moments.
06:29It's going to look stunning.
06:30It's going to look stunning,
06:30and look at that.
06:31Hopefully the fabric makes it.
06:32I'll be on the lookout for it.
06:33Let's go to mannequin numero uno.
06:35Are we ready?
06:38Well, this is nice.
06:40This is a tail suit.
06:42George is doing the Viennese waltz.
06:44We've not seen him
06:45in this kind of traditional kind of ballroom look.
06:49Is that going to help me for the Viennese?
06:50What do you reckon?
06:51I hope so.
06:52I feel like when the viewer sees a tail suit,
06:54I think everybody goes,
06:55ah, we understand what this is.
06:57And I think that's good.
06:58And I think that also happens
06:59to the celebrities as well
07:01because they feel confident
07:02in the pro's kind of safety.
07:04What happens is
07:05they always feel really tight
07:07because they're cut high into the arm.
07:09He's going to feel like
07:10it's too small for him.
07:11But once he's in position
07:13and he realizes that
07:14this will assist his hold,
07:16I think it'll be good.
07:16It is a little bit tight at the moment.
07:18It is a little tight.
07:19Okay.
07:19So we do need to let it out.
07:20So the magic will happen.
07:21Well, when he sees it tomorrow.
07:23Yes.
07:24Shall we go to Madigan number two?
07:26Let's see what we've got
07:27from Madigan number two.
07:28Ready?
07:29Oh, boy!
07:32This is Loise.
07:34She's doing a fox shot.
07:36Yeah.
07:36Now, she's not going to ballroom
07:37in three weeks.
07:38No.
07:38So it's been a minute.
07:39Yes.
07:39Top me through this dress.
07:41Pastels.
07:42What's the vibe?
07:42I mean, it's just dreamy, isn't it?
07:44It's kind of, you know,
07:45little girls will be out there.
07:46Unicorn.
07:47It's just all very,
07:48all very dreamy.
07:49But what we're trying to do is,
07:52or what we normally do is
07:53with Levoir is we'll start
07:54with the base.
07:55We're imagining that
07:56after our fitting on Friday,
07:58this section here
07:59will all be embellished
08:00in really tiny,
08:00hopefully 12s,
08:02so it'll feel really sparkly
08:03and magical.
08:04Once we fit, again,
08:05the bust and everything,
08:06this overlay will,
08:08it'll fade down
08:09and hopefully it'll run
08:09into the skirt.
08:10Look at the skirt.
08:11Love the skirt.
08:12Look at that.
08:12It's like a peekaboo
08:14of shimmer underneath.
08:16I love pastels.
08:16We can't not have shimmer.
08:18Yeah, she's going to look
08:19so stunning.
08:19And don't go anywhere
08:20because Vicky and Jane
08:22are going to be joining me
08:22on the sofa
08:23and they're going to be
08:23answering your questions
08:24very shortly,
08:25so don't go too far.
08:26But for now,
08:27it's Vicky Gills, everyone.
08:30All right,
08:31next up are Harry and Karen.
08:33Despite making a mistake
08:34during a routine
08:35set in an ice cream parlor,
08:37our big softie
08:38did not have a meltdown.
08:40He remained chilled
08:41and will be here shortly
08:42to give us all the inside scoop.
08:44But first,
08:44here's a reminder
08:45of the flavor
08:46of that American smooth.
08:51Nice feel,
08:53lovely line,
08:54all good
08:54apart from the mistake
08:56you've ever liked.
08:56fortunately.
08:58For some reason,
08:59you went a gear up
09:00after the mistake.
09:01That means you put
09:02a little bit more
09:02performance,
09:03more show.
09:04I would have loved that
09:05throughout the dance.
09:06But keep doing
09:07what you guys do.
09:09I do love you, darling.
09:11You bring the heart
09:12and the soul
09:13of every dance you do.
09:19Harry and Karen, everyone.
09:22Harry, it was Halloween week.
09:24You were at the bottom
09:25of the leaderboard.
09:26That is quite a scary place
09:28to be.
09:28How much of a scare
09:29was it for you?
09:30It was in true
09:31Halloween spirit,
09:32I think.
09:32It was quite scary.
09:33It was more trick than treat.
09:36It's one of those things
09:37where you look around yourself
09:38and you,
09:39here I am,
09:39this is who I am,
09:40but at the same time,
09:41we had fun.
09:41We had fun doing it.
09:42Yeah, you did.
09:43You looked like you had
09:43the best time
09:44and you both looked amazing,
09:45by the way.
09:45Shout out to the hair,
09:46makeup, and everybody.
09:47Shout out.
09:48And Karen,
09:48on the result show,
09:49you thanked the public
09:50for their support
09:51because bottom of the leaderboard,
09:52when you got through,
09:53what is it about your partnership
09:55that you think
09:55everybody's finding so appealing?
09:57You know,
09:57it's the energy.
09:58You know,
09:58we just want to have fun.
09:59You know,
10:00we are working,
10:01we help,
10:01everybody's working hard,
10:02but at the same time,
10:03it's that joy that you bring
10:04and the fact that
10:05we're not giving up.
10:06You know,
10:06it's one of these things
10:07that we get shut down
10:08sometimes by the judges,
10:09but you know what,
10:10that's the way it is
10:11and it's one of these things
10:11that I never want to see
10:13this guy not smile.
10:14I know,
10:14look at that smile.
10:15Unless we're doing the Roomba.
10:18Don't forget it.
10:20It's instilled in us.
10:22I did love that Roomba.
10:24It's going to come up
10:24in a minute,
10:25actually,
10:25with another question I've got,
10:26but we'll get to it.
10:27You literally reached
10:28for the moon,
10:29though,
10:29with some of the lifts
10:30that you tried
10:30in this routine
10:31and Shirley applauded you.
10:32She said they were magnificent.
10:34So how happy were you
10:35with the way that he executed it?
10:36Yeah,
10:37you know what,
10:37like,
10:38we always try to bring
10:39different styles of lifts
10:41and anything like that
10:42and he's very capable as well.
10:44You know,
10:44I'm not,
10:44we have great trust in each other
10:46and it's really nice
10:47that Shirley saw that as well.
10:48Yeah,
10:48and with lifts,
10:49you know,
10:50there's a technique to that.
10:51Yeah,
10:51most definitely.
10:52I think what Karen's
10:53made me understand
10:54is look,
10:55obviously,
10:55I can lift a house
10:56if I want,
10:57but,
10:57you know,
10:58we don't want to make it.
10:59Literally.
11:00We don't want to make it
11:01look hard.
11:02Yeah.
11:02Dancing is all about,
11:03you know,
11:03things looking effortless
11:04and although you're,
11:06you know,
11:06working hard underneath
11:07like a swan or a duck,
11:08you know,
11:09you're still presenting,
11:09presenting something beautiful.
11:11Well, you did it beautifully.
11:12I'm listening.
11:13I'm listening.
11:15And how you did,
11:17you made a mistake,
11:18right?
11:18You made a mistake
11:19and the judges noted it,
11:20but Motsi did say
11:21you went up a gear
11:22after it happened.
11:23As an athlete,
11:25can you talk me
11:25through your mindset?
11:26What happened at that point?
11:27Did you go,
11:27right,
11:27I'm in?
11:28Yeah,
11:28I guess you just have,
11:29I kind of see things
11:30in slow-mo.
11:31Obviously,
11:31I'm a sprinter.
11:32I run up to 27 miles per hour.
11:33So,
11:34like,
11:34I do see things
11:35in slow motion
11:36and in that moment
11:36when,
11:37like,
11:37whatever happened,
11:38happened,
11:39I sort of made a quick decision
11:40and an out-of-body experience
11:41moment happened.
11:42I was like,
11:42we either just give up
11:43or we go hard.
11:44And I went hard.
11:45And it's similar to
11:45when you run 100 metres,
11:47you might have a misstep,
11:48but sometimes it ends up
11:48being your best race.
11:49So,
11:50I think what I did,
11:50I just,
11:51you know,
11:52locked in
11:52and didn't want to let Karen down
11:54and everyone else at home down.
11:55You should do some public speaking
11:57and inspirational stuff,
11:58man.
11:58It's great.
11:58I'm here for it.
12:00Well,
12:00that American smooth
12:01is a world away now
12:02as this week
12:04you're doing a samba
12:04to this.
12:06That is samba,
12:10Gloria Estefan.
12:13Gloria Estefan.
12:14Harry,
12:15your last Latin number
12:16was the Roomba.
12:17We brought it up then,
12:18right?
12:18You know,
12:19it was a saucy one,
12:20we liked it.
12:21And you compared
12:22the technique of the Roomba
12:23to getting all comfy in bed.
12:24So,
12:25what is the comparison
12:26for the samba?
12:27It is
12:28a party.
12:30Yeah!
12:31It's a party.
12:32And it's a control party,
12:34though.
12:34It's a control party.
12:36It's not open all hours
12:38in a day.
12:39It's not open all hours.
12:40It's standing.
12:40Just orange juice and water.
12:42Exactly.
12:42You're here for good vibes,
12:43you're standing,
12:44you're holding your drink.
12:45So,
12:46all of this is working
12:46underneath,
12:47but we need good posture.
12:49It's always happening!
12:52I'm so proud!
12:53This is why people
12:54are voting for us!
12:56On some occasions,
12:57you'll have one drink,
12:58on most occasions,
12:59you'll have two.
13:00Yeah,
13:00for the balance.
13:01And so,
13:02this is all working
13:03underneath,
13:03but this,
13:04stay still.
13:04Don't drop your drink,
13:06people.
13:06Oh my God,
13:07that is the best description
13:08I've ever heard.
13:09So,
13:09I love it.
13:10And Karen,
13:11after the lows of being
13:12at the bottom
13:12at the leaderboard
13:13at the weekend,
13:13what can Harry do
13:14this weekend,
13:15though,
13:15to work his way up?
13:16Bring that joy.
13:17You know what?
13:18Like,
13:18he has this positivity.
13:20You know,
13:20listen,
13:21we are...
13:21He's got the great bounce,
13:23he's got great hip action,
13:25he's got the counts down,
13:26you know,
13:27he's got that posture.
13:28I mean,
13:28what else can we do?
13:30We're putting everything
13:31out there.
13:32And I just want him
13:33to have the best time.
13:34I've given him liberty
13:35to give it all.
13:37Are you sure?
13:38Spill the drinks.
13:41I'll get kicked
13:42a lot of that club.
13:43All right,
13:43so on the note of the party,
13:45we're going to have one
13:45here right now,
13:46because you gave us
13:47a bit of a demonstration
13:48of your salsa hips.
13:50We saw in your training
13:51updates,
13:52you know,
13:52that things were going good,
13:53so would you like
13:54to get up
13:55and show us
13:55a bit of the samba hips?
13:57Give it to them.
13:57Oh, wait,
13:58I want to see it.
13:59Musica,
13:59can we have some music,
14:00please?
14:01Let me show me.
14:02Ta-ta,
14:03ta-ta,
14:03ta-ta,
14:04ta-ta,
14:05I'll show you.
14:07Ta-ta,
14:08ta-ta,
14:08ta-ta,
14:08give it to them.
14:09Give it to them.
14:10Give it to them.
14:11Give it to them.
14:12Give it to them.
14:13Give it to them.
14:15Do you didn't speak
14:16real drink though?
14:16The balance was there.
14:17The balance is there.
14:19That's amazing.
14:19It's going to be great.
14:20I can feel it already.
14:21We're excited.
14:22Harry, after the shock though
14:23of being at the bottom
14:24of the leaderboard,
14:25you want to bounce back
14:26on Saturday,
14:27don't you?
14:27So what are you going
14:28to do to really,
14:28what's the mantra
14:29you've been using
14:29to get you there?
14:30Do you know what it is?
14:31I kind of have
14:31a little saying.
14:33I've got a few.
14:34One of those obviously
14:34is like doubt kills.
14:36You know,
14:36the more you doubt yourself,
14:37the more it's going to have
14:37a negative effect on you.
14:39But most importantly,
14:40sometimes you need
14:40the worst to happen
14:41to realise you're just okay.
14:43The public voted for us.
14:44They got us through.
14:45We're living.
14:46We're fighting.
14:47We're going to smile again.
14:48We're going to have fun again.
14:49And the worst did happen.
14:50But look,
14:50I'm still here smiling.
14:51You're still here smiling.
14:52People are mourning.
14:53People are loving you.
14:54We're loving you.
14:55Good luck this weekend.
14:57Let's hear it for Harry and Karen.
15:01That was lovely.
15:03Now,
15:04we are about to chat
15:05to Vicky and Jane.
15:06But before that,
15:06it's time for an exclusive look
15:08at this weekend's group number.
15:10As Remembrance Day approaches,
15:11our pros come together
15:13to honour the courage,
15:14dedication and sacrifice
15:16of our armed forces.
15:17A beautiful tribute
15:19to those who have served
15:20and continue to serve today.
15:24It's Remembrance Week
15:25on Strictly
15:26and we're paying our respects
15:27to the service and sacrifice
15:28of the armed forces.
15:32This week's group dance
15:34starts with Lauren and Aliash
15:36in the centre of the floor
15:38creating a beautiful atmosphere.
15:40I wanted to centre this routine
15:48around ballroom
15:49with beautiful lifts.
15:51So the idea is that
15:52the couple are dancing
15:53in a formation in unison
15:55and it's really stunning
15:57moving across the floor.
16:00Timing in this dance
16:01is going to be everything.
16:03We don't want to thrash anything.
16:04We want to keep everything
16:05nice and simple and elegant.
16:10We're very lucky and fortunate
16:12that we're going to be joined
16:13by the RAF brass band
16:15on the Strictly floor.
16:17It just adds that extra importance
16:19to this piece.
16:21We hope you tune in
16:23this Remembrance Weekend
16:24to watch our heartfelt group dance.
16:33Oh, I can't wait to see that one.
16:36OK, next up.
16:38There is no needle without a thread,
16:40no sequin without a sparkle,
16:42and no costume designer
16:43without a costume supervisor.
16:45Please welcome back
16:46Vicky Gill
16:47and here for her
16:48It Takes Two debut
16:49Jane Marcantonio Brubiqui.
16:53Thank you so much
16:54for joining us, ladies.
16:55First and foremost,
16:56Jane, can you tell us
16:58about your role on Strictly
17:00and how it differs
17:01from what Vicky does?
17:02Well, first and foremost,
17:03Vicky is our chief designer
17:05and is responsible
17:07for all the stunning looks
17:09on a Saturday night.
17:11My role is,
17:13it entails prepping
17:14during the week,
17:16the live show on a Saturday
17:17and forward planning
17:19for the coming weeks,
17:20which is particularly stressful
17:22this week, isn't it?
17:23We've got Blackpool,
17:25we've got Christmas,
17:26we've got musicals
17:27all rolled into one.
17:28Oh my gosh,
17:29you're thinking musicals already?
17:30My gosh.
17:31And Christmas.
17:32When you talk to me,
17:32I'm kind of like,
17:33sorry not to start in November,
17:34but anyways, yeah.
17:35And how long have the two
17:36have you been working together then?
17:37Oh, a long time.
17:38It's been 15 years, hasn't it?
17:40Yeah.
17:40We kind of mark it by,
17:41when we got the top job,
17:43so to speak,
17:43Jane had her first baby
17:45and I had my last baby.
17:47So it's quite,
17:48it's quite nice really,
17:48it's quite emotional
17:49because it's kind of...
17:50The kids have grown up
17:51watching you
17:52dressing people for years.
17:53Oh, absolutely.
17:54It's been a real family.
17:55Right, shall we get to the cards?
17:56Because honestly,
17:56we had so many questions in
17:58for the two of you,
17:59so we've got loads.
18:00This first one is for you, Jane,
18:01and it's from Jess from Worrell,
18:03and she has a question.
18:04Approximately what percentage
18:06of costumes throughout the series
18:07are upcycled
18:08from previous series?
18:10Do you have an estimate?
18:10Well, I would say
18:12about a third of costumes.
18:13What's a big chunk?
18:14Well, nothing is ever used.
18:18Everything is upcy...
18:19Everything that's upcycled
18:20has given a new lease of life,
18:22it's given a fresh look,
18:23and hours of work go into it.
18:25Yeah.
18:25The team that we have
18:26is unbelievable
18:28and just creates such
18:30amazing creations
18:32in such a short space of time.
18:33You don't even notice it.
18:34No.
18:34Sometimes when I was probably like,
18:36wait, I feel like
18:36I've done this before.
18:37Vicky, this one's for you.
18:40This is from Ruby and Louise
18:41in Liverpool,
18:42and they would love to know
18:43how you discreetly use
18:45supportive undergarments
18:46for career dancers' costumes.
18:49How do you give them support?
18:50Well, the support,
18:52we can put anything
18:53that a performer
18:54or whoever's, you know,
18:55even who's doing a shoot,
18:57whatever the customer wants,
18:58for instance,
18:59that's what we're working towards.
19:00But the key is
19:01to think about the lines,
19:03and so if you take
19:04an asymmetrical line
19:05through your body,
19:06think about if you've got
19:08embellishment,
19:09run it across the body.
19:10So just take cheeky little lines
19:12running across
19:12whatever garment you're using
19:14to take the eye away
19:15from any horizontal
19:18talk.
19:19Tip from Vicky Gill herself.
19:21OK, Jane,
19:22this is from Jas from Walsall.
19:24They ask,
19:25how do you go to the toilet
19:26if your shirt and trousers
19:29are sewn together
19:30or joined together?
19:31Well, I do say to them,
19:32don't drink,
19:33and then that solves
19:35that problem.
19:36But we don't really
19:37talk about it, do we?
19:38No.
19:38They are baffled at it
19:40at first,
19:41but then they get used to it,
19:42and by week three
19:43they're asking for pants.
19:44Yeah.
19:44They come for too many
19:45wee's,
19:45it's like a stern look.
19:46Yeah.
19:47Yeah, you're wasting our time.
19:49That's tough, though,
19:50so make sure you keep it in,
19:51kids, keep it in.
19:52All right.
19:52Vicky, this one's for you.
19:54Bexton Somerset would like
19:55to know,
19:56how you would adjust
19:56your dressmaker's mannequins
19:58if you were to make a dress
19:59for someone with scoliosis?
20:02Very interesting question.
20:03I like this one.
20:05Everything's very visual
20:06in what we do,
20:07so even when we're
20:07manipulating mannequins,
20:09it's all about
20:10someone's shape
20:11and what angle,
20:13and so you're looking
20:14at a visual image.
20:15So what I do is
20:15I take a photograph,
20:16and then we'd be
20:18comparing the visual,
20:19and we'd be padding
20:20the mannequin out,
20:22and basically,
20:23we're just matching
20:23the shape and the lines
20:25as much as we can,
20:26along with measurements.
20:26Wow, that's really fascinating.
20:29I've never thought of that.
20:30That's such a good way
20:31to do it.
20:32Anyway, this is for the two of you.
20:34Both Izzy from Preston
20:35is asking,
20:36if you had to do one dance,
20:38what dance would it be,
20:39and who would you like
20:40to be your partner?
20:41Jane?
20:42Oh, well,
20:43I think it'd have to be
20:44a quick step with Anton,
20:46or a jive with Vito.
20:49Nice.
20:50It really gets spun along with him.
20:52There was a time
20:53where I'd love to do the jive,
20:54but I don't think
20:55I'd have enough puff anymore.
20:56Yeah, I don't know
20:57if I understand a jive.
20:59But I'm saying,
21:01puff you don't mean
21:01something you put on a costume,
21:02right?
21:03I'm saying Jojo.
21:05I just think we would
21:05smile and laugh a lot.
21:07Nice.
21:07Oh, yeah, good choice.
21:08He is quite fun, isn't he?
21:09Although, height difference, Vicky,
21:11you've got to think about that.
21:11I know, I think he's grown.
21:13He's quite a series.
21:13I said to him, yeah,
21:14he's much taller
21:15than what he ever used to be.
21:16I'm shrinking.
21:18We're going off on a tangent.
21:19Sorry.
21:19Vicky, this is for you.
21:21Isabel from Beckinham
21:21wants to know,
21:22how do you go from
21:23taking the contestants
21:24or pros' measurements
21:25to creating the garment?
21:27Okay, try and keep it
21:27sleek for you.
21:28So, it is quite
21:29a strategic process.
21:31What we do is
21:32we compare the cast
21:33and so people's body lengths
21:36we will create blocks
21:37so yourself and, say,
21:40Alexis may be similar
21:42but your body length
21:43may be different
21:43so we will grade
21:45certain sections of your body
21:47so that we can use the blocks
21:49across different people.
21:50Across different people.
21:51Yeah.
21:51Oh, that's nice too, okay.
21:53I love that I have a block
21:53somewhere with me and strictly...
21:55Right, Jane from Tricia
21:56in Middlesbrough.
21:57Which is your most favourable week
21:59to do costumes?
22:01Oh, definitely the final.
22:03The final.
22:04It's a lot of work
22:05but all the eliminated
22:08celebs come back
22:09and it's like a big celebration.
22:11It's a big party.
22:12It's really hard work.
22:13It's a lot running about
22:14but it's a real celebration.
22:16It's like 30,000 steps.
22:18Yeah.
22:19And the finalists,
22:20they're so excited to be there
22:22and there's so much joy in the room.
22:23And the offering of wine at the end.
22:25And wine.
22:26Yeah, lots.
22:27I know because I'm always
22:28in there with you.
22:28All right, Vicky, Jane asks
22:30if each costume is planned
22:32before the series begins
22:33or as soon as the results
22:34are known for each week.
22:35Can you give a quick one?
22:36What do you think?
22:37Is it done quickly?
22:37It takes time, doesn't it?
22:39It takes...
22:39I mean, the thing is
22:40we can prepare as much as we,
22:42you know, we want to
22:43in terms of forward thinking
22:44but at this stage of the game
22:46we're on a weekly...
22:47Well, you're already on musicals
22:48so you are definitely going quick.
22:49Yeah.
22:49Guys, this was wonderful.
22:50Thank you for coming tonight.
22:51I really enjoyed that.
22:52Did you?
22:53You're going to come back.
22:54Actually, Vicky,
22:54I'll see you next Thursday.
22:55I, for one,
22:56cannot wait to see
22:57what you do at the weekend.
22:58Let's hear it for Jane and Vicky.
23:02All right, next up.
23:04Last weekend,
23:06Amber and Nikita
23:07danced to Icy Red.
23:09However,
23:09it was Shirley
23:10who truly saw red.
23:12She believed that
23:13when it came to
23:14the traditional Viennese waltz,
23:16Nikita was a traitor.
23:17Oh, that reminds me
23:21the Celeb Traders finals
23:23on tonight
23:23but for now
23:24let's remain faithful
23:25to Strictly
23:26and take a look
23:27at that Viennese waltz.
23:28Don't look at me.
23:33This for me
23:34was an American style
23:35Viennese waltz.
23:37Everything that you did
23:37you did open
23:38so the real
23:39Viennese waltz
23:40which is what it was
23:41didn't actually come to fruition.
23:43The Viennese waltz
23:44can be really boring.
23:46I loved
23:47what you did with that.
23:50Your movement
23:51across the floor
23:52is exquisite
23:52it's big
23:53and it's bold.
23:54You did a beautiful
23:55Fleckle
23:56which I know
23:56you've worked at.
23:57I loved it.
24:01Every time.
24:02Amber and Nikita.
24:04Amber,
24:05you secured
24:06the highest scoring
24:07Viennese waltz
24:08of the series.
24:09Do you realise that?
24:10I only just found that out today.
24:1135.
24:12It's the highest scoring
24:13Viennese waltz
24:13so far on the show
24:14but you still
24:15admitted
24:16that you were
24:16100% sure
24:17that you were
24:17going to be in the dance-off.
24:18Oh, why?
24:19When we were in that
24:20bottom four
24:20I was absolutely
24:23adamant we're in the dance-off.
24:24Yeah, we were getting ready.
24:25We were practising
24:26the routine
24:27before being in that
24:29end line.
24:29But why?
24:30I think being
24:31in the dance-off
24:32the week before
24:33puts so much
24:34doubt
24:35in your mind
24:36that even
24:37if you're trying
24:39to be positive
24:40and you're trying
24:40to brush it aside
24:42it is impossible.
24:44It's a real
24:45tough situation
24:46to be in
24:47and I think
24:48I was
24:48you know
24:48when you mentally
24:49prepare yourself
24:50for the worst
24:51case scenario.
24:51I'm ready for the worst
24:52so I'll be fine.
24:53Yeah, I'll be fine.
24:53so we were
24:54so surprised
24:55when we were in it.
24:56It was the happiest
24:58I've ever been
24:59to be in week seven.
25:00Yeah.
25:00And I'm not even joking
25:02like we were
25:02well actually
25:04you both have
25:05very different emotions
25:06though in the Clauditorium
25:07because Amber
25:08was wiping away tears
25:09of just gratitude
25:10and joy
25:10and Nikita
25:11you were doing this.
25:17Now
25:17Claude looked stunned
25:19Amber looked
25:20well she just
25:20basically looked away.
25:22What kind of
25:23response did you get
25:24from the public
25:24for that?
25:25Oh Jeanette
25:26I don't even know.
25:29The problem is
25:30Claudia said
25:31feel free
25:32to use the table
25:33so even I don't know
25:35but if you tell me
25:36feel free
25:37I don't know
25:37where I'm going to go
25:38it just happens
25:40things just happen
25:40I need to calm down.
25:42No no
25:42I need to calm down.
25:43We'll move the disco balls
25:45you let me know
25:45don't worry
25:46we've got you.
25:46Do you want me to
25:47am I free?
25:48Not yet.
25:50But Shirley didn't think
25:54your Viennese waltz
25:54was by the book
25:55right
25:56but Craig did say
25:57don't listen to that
25:58old witchy poo
25:59over there
26:00which was lovely
26:01of him to call Shirley
26:02but you did admit
26:03that you wanted to
26:04stray away from
26:05the more traditional
26:05Viennese waltz
26:06so why did you
26:07take the risk?
26:07Why?
26:08First of all
26:09I think it's Halloween week
26:10like Halloween week
26:11to me
26:12it's so important
26:13it's all about
26:14storytelling
26:15it's about drama
26:16and I would have
26:17probably agreed
26:18with Shirley
26:19on a normal week
26:20but in this case
26:23it's
26:23and to me
26:24as well
26:24it's all about
26:26bringing that
26:27story and drama
26:28and entertainment
26:29to the audience
26:29at home
26:30and I also just
26:31wanted to point out
26:32that it has actually
26:33nothing to do with
26:34Amba
26:34it's me who does
26:35the choreography
26:35I take those
26:37kind of decisions
26:37Amba just
26:38really tries her best
26:39to embrace it
26:40so I just didn't want
26:41also Shirley's criticism
26:42to fall on her
26:43when it actually
26:44is on me
26:44yeah because
26:45she was very complimentary
26:47about your dancing
26:47which was lovely
26:48she was
26:48yeah
26:49but Amba's work ethic
26:51clearly has a lot
26:52to do with her success
26:53last week
26:55the note taking
26:55continued
26:56oh yeah
26:57essential
26:58absolutely
26:59head towards the wrist
27:01head
27:02absolutely essential
27:03towards
27:04wrist
27:06and also
27:08very essential

27:23yeah today
27:23it was like
27:24some kind of
27:25Twinkie Winkie
27:26something
27:26you know
27:28Leighton gave me a tip
27:29Leighton gave me a tip

27:36a double espresso
27:37and a cinnamon bun
27:38and a Twinkie
27:39well on that note
27:40you're going to be
27:42doing a little bit
27:43of a saucy dance
27:44this weekend
27:44because you're doing
27:45a salsa
27:45to this
27:46the way you make me feel
27:51my Sylvester

28:07no just hear me out
28:08hear me out
28:09hear me out
28:10is there a nervousness
28:11because we don't want

28:15do you know what

28:39about it
28:40actually just enjoying it

28:46and I'm
28:47and I'm protected
28:48by a character
28:49I can
28:50I find that more comfortable
28:52right
28:53when he's like
28:54be Amber
28:55that is when I struggle
28:58because in my career
28:59I'm never me
29:01I'm always somebody else
29:02you know
29:03so where
29:04I find it quite vulnerable
