00:00The first question on the WhatsApp is
00:02Assalamualaikum sir
00:06I am Muhammad Saqib Rashid
00:10a third year MBBS student from
00:13Silhat, Bangladesh
00:17A question is troubling me for many days
00:21The question is related to DAW activity
00:25If I myself am not doing a certain nek amal
00:30or virtuous deed such as tahajjud prayer etc
00:35Can I give DAW to others about that virtuous deed
00:40which I myself am not performing
00:42Again if I myself is already doing a sinful act
00:47Is it right for me to forbid someone else
00:50from doing that same sinful act
00:52Summary is
00:55Can I do DAW when I myself
00:57am not properly following
00:59all principles of the Sharia
01:01or should I have to be 100% rectified
01:05and only then I will have the right to do DAW
01:07Sir I am badly in need of your valuable advice
01:11I really admire you
01:12May Allah grant you
01:14Hayat-e-Tayyabah
01:15Please visit Bangladesh soon
01:17We love you
01:18We will love to have you among us
01:23Respect from Bangladesh
01:24I love you too
01:26Brother Muhammad Saqib
01:29has asked a question
01:32that do we have to be 100% perfect
01:35in following the Sharia
01:37and should not do any mistakes
01:39and not do any sin
01:40before we start doing DAW
01:42and secondly that if
01:44we do certain selfful act
01:46can we prohibit others from
01:48not doing it
01:50or
01:51if
01:53we are not doing some good deed
01:55can we ask others to do that good deed
01:56Let me tell you at the outset
01:59that
02:00no human being
02:02can follow 100% perfect Sharia
02:05and not do any sin
02:07that is
02:08only
02:08the prophets
02:09only the prophets of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
02:12are sinful
02:13Today in the world
02:14no one can claim that he's 100% perfect
02:16he's following the Sharia 100%
02:18he's not doing any sin
02:20not even a small sin
02:21because it is human to err
02:22and a beloved prophet
02:24Muhammad Sa'ala Sallam said
02:25it's mentioned Sahih Bukhari
02:26a prophet said
02:27Ballygu Anni Walaw Aya
02:29propagate
02:30even if you know one verse
02:31even if you know one verse about Islam
02:34as long as you know it correctly
02:36it is your duty to propagate it
02:38so it is not compulsory
02:40that you should be a 100% perfect Muslim
02:43following 100% Sharia
02:45before you start doing DAW
02:46and
02:48normally
02:50when we do DAW
02:52Alhamdulillah
02:54the more DAW activities you do
02:56the more
02:57the more
02:57your Iman increases
02:58and more your practice increases
03:00regarding a question
03:02that
03:03can you ask someone
03:05to do any virtuous deed
03:07if you yourself
03:08are not doing that deed
03:09for example
03:10as far as asking others to do
03:14which you are not doing
03:16Allah says in the glorious Quran
03:19in Surah Saf
03:20chapter number 61
03:21verse number 2
03:22do not say
03:34what you do not do
03:35so according to Surah Saf
03:37chapter number 61
03:38verse number 2
03:39you should not say
03:40things which you do not do
03:42so but natural
03:43you cannot give a talk
03:45if you are not offering
03:47Tajud
03:48you cannot give a talk
03:49on saying Tajud is very important
03:51and then there are ways
03:53how you cannot miss Tajud
03:55and you keep an alarm
03:56and you give all the details
03:57of how not to miss Tajud
03:59and how to offer Tajud
04:00when you yourself
04:02are not
04:02praying Tajud
04:05giving the impression
04:06that you are very strict
04:08in Tajud
04:08this would be wrong
04:09but
04:10generally
04:11while saying
04:13that you should offer
04:14Salah
04:14you should
04:15that you should
04:16that you should offer
04:17Sunat-e-Mauqada
04:18as much as possible
04:19offer Tajud
04:20by the by
04:21no problem
04:22or
04:22if someone asks you
04:25a question
04:26that
04:27should you offer Tajud
04:29then you can say
04:30Abul Abid Prophet
04:31sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
04:31said
04:31that the most important
04:33Salah after the first Salah
04:35is Qiyamul Lail
04:36that is
04:36the Witar
04:37and also the Tajud
04:39and then you can talk
04:40about the importance
04:41and then say
04:42towards the end
04:43of the answer
04:44that May Allah
04:44subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:45make you
04:48and me
04:49very particular
04:51in offering Tajud
04:52Salah
04:53or may He give us
04:54Hidayah
04:55that we get up
04:56for Tajud
04:57and offer it regularly
04:58so in this way
05:00while you are saying
05:01that may Allah
05:02give Hidayah
05:02to you and me
05:03so that we offer
05:04Tajud regularly
05:05it is accepted
05:07but you cannot
05:08give a false impression
05:09to the people
05:10that you are very
05:11particular in Tajud
05:12and give a lecture
05:13in Tajud
05:14and you are not
05:16offering yourself
05:16but generally
05:17giving advice
05:18about the things
05:19which are virtuous
05:21when you yourself
05:22are not doing
05:22is permitted generally
05:24but
05:25always it's important
05:27in the ending
05:28you can ask
05:29Allah
05:30to say that
05:31May He
05:32let you and me
05:33do this good act
05:34so you are covering
05:34it up
05:35or for example
05:37if
05:38you are doing
05:40a haram activity
05:40like smoking
05:41you cannot give a lecture
05:43on the ill effects
05:44of smoking
05:45and how can you
05:46prevent yourself
05:47from smoking
05:47and if you are smoking
05:48then how
05:49can you see to it
05:51that you stop smoking
05:52when you yourself
05:53are smoking
05:54it will give a false
05:55impression to the people
05:56but if someone
05:57asks you
05:58is smoking prohibited
06:00you can very well
06:01say that
06:01Quran says
06:02in Suri Bakra
06:03chapter number 2
06:03verse number 185
06:05that do not make
06:06your own hands
06:07the cause of
06:08your own destruction
06:08and then give the
06:09reason why smoking
06:10is prohibited
06:11according to the
06:12World Health Organization
06:13every year
06:146 million people
06:15die of smoking
06:17it's nothing but
06:18a kind of suicide
06:19etc etc
06:20and then same ending
06:21that May Allah
06:22subhanahu wa ta'ala
06:23help those people
06:24who are addicted
06:25to the smoking
06:26and may see to it
06:27that He keep us
06:28away from the smoking
06:29so in this way
06:30if you end your answer
06:32I feel it is permitted
06:34but giving a false
06:35impression
06:36that you
06:37are not smoking
06:38and giving a lecture
06:39on how to
06:41stop your smoking
06:43how to de-addict
06:44yourself
06:44this would be
06:45giving a false
06:46impression
06:46and would be
06:47going against
06:49the verse of the
06:49Quran of Surah Saf
06:50chapter number 61
06:52verse number 2
06:53we say
06:53that do not say
06:55what you do not do
06:56but generally
06:58for a da'i
06:59yes
07:00he can talk about
07:01the virtuous thing
07:02that people should do
07:03and stay away from
07:04the acts
07:05which are wrong
07:05one thing
07:06very important
07:07is that
07:08when you start
07:09being da'i
07:10but natural
07:11you have to
07:12only
07:13give da'i
07:15about those
07:16things which you
07:17know very well
07:17and number 2
07:19but natural
07:19those things
07:20which you are doing
07:22while you give da'i
07:24we find
07:25that your
07:25iman keeps on
07:26increasing
07:27and your practice
07:28of your deen
07:28keeps on increasing
07:29for example
07:30adai
07:32may be offering
07:33five times
07:33salah
07:33but he may not
07:34be very particular
07:35in his sunat-e-mauqidah
07:37or sunat-e-gaur-maqidah
07:39now while you start
07:40doing da'i
07:40and the more
07:41he start doing da'i
07:42alhamdulillah
07:44Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
07:45increases
07:46iman
07:46and increases
07:47his amal also
07:48and we find
07:51that the moment
07:52you start doing da'i
07:53more and more
07:54alhamdulillah
07:54iman increases
07:55and even your
07:56amal increases
07:56then you start
07:58seeing to it
07:58that a particular
07:59even sunat-e-mauqidah
08:00then you see
08:01that you start
08:02particular
08:02even in sunat-e-gaur-maqidah
08:04then you may be
08:05fasting
08:06the first
08:06you may be
08:08fasting
08:08in the month
08:09of ramadan
08:09but then you start
08:10becoming
08:11more practicing
08:11even your
08:12shavwa fast
08:13even arafah
08:14even the fasting
08:15of the zilajjah
08:17the first nine days
08:18and
08:19even
08:20on the ayamubeedah
08:21and
08:22your amal
08:23keeps on increasing
08:24so but natural
08:25you don't have to
08:26wait till you
08:26become a perfect
08:27hundred percent
08:28muslim
08:29but
08:29one thing is
08:31very important
08:31that for a da'i
08:32his amal
08:33should be good
08:34and his akhlaq
08:35should be good
08:35imagine a da'i
08:37if he is
08:38badmouted
08:39and
08:40if he is
08:41foul in his language
08:42if his amal
08:43are not good
08:44he will not
08:45be a good example
08:46people will not
08:47listen to him
08:48and imagine a person
08:49who keeps on
08:50insulting other people
08:51and shouting
08:52but natural
08:53he will not be effective
08:55because people
08:55always look up to
08:57a da'i
08:58so it's very important
08:59that
09:00the virtue
09:01of the da'i
09:02should be
09:03as high as possible
09:04so if you are doing
09:05da'i
09:06Allah helps you
09:07and your iman
09:08and your iman
09:08increases
09:09and your
09:10virtuous deeds
09:11also keep on
09:11increasing
09:12but you have to
09:13see to it
09:13and be particular
09:14that because
09:15you are calling
09:15people towards
09:16Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
09:18you have to set
09:19a good example
09:20so as far as possible
09:21so as far as possible
09:21see to it
09:22that you are kind
09:24to the people
09:24you are soft spoken
09:26you are humble
09:27to them
09:28you keep on
09:29helping the others
09:29so that
09:30besides speaking
09:32and giving
09:33the message of
09:35Islam
09:35with your tongue
09:36you should also
09:37be a good example
09:38and a good Muslim
09:40helping others
09:42being kind
09:43to others
09:43being loving
09:44to others
09:45being merciful
09:46to others
09:47and think to it
09:48that you solve
09:49people's problem
09:49being kind hearted
09:51all these
09:52qualities
09:54try and
09:55humiliate
09:56the prophet
09:57as much as possible
09:59a da'i
10:00is a person
10:01who is
10:02an ambassador
10:02of Islam
10:03and
10:04he should be
10:05a good example
10:06but again
10:07it's not compulsory
10:09that you should be
10:10a hundred percent
10:11pakta musulman
10:12before you start
10:12doing da'wah
10:13even
10:14as long as
10:14you are doing
10:15the faraj
10:15you start doing da'wah
10:16and I know
10:18that
10:19I had an acquaintance
10:21who was
10:22involved in
10:23major sin
10:23he even used
10:24to have alcohol
10:25but he had
10:26many Christian
10:27friends
10:27and
10:28he was
10:29very active
10:30in da'wah
10:30though you are
10:31doing a major sin
10:32but that doesn't
10:33mean
10:33I'll go and tell him
10:34you're having alcohol
10:35so stop doing da'wah
10:36alcohol is a major sin
10:37but
10:39alhamdulillah
10:40the more you start
10:41doing da'wah
10:42inshallah
10:43Allah helps you
10:44to stay away
10:45from the major sins
10:46and the minor sins
10:48and gets you
10:49closer to Allah
10:50so my advice
10:51to you would be
10:52brother
10:52that you start
10:53doing da'wah
10:54don't wait till you
10:55become a perfect
10:56muslim
10:56but see to it
10:57that you try
10:58and follow
10:58besides the faraj
10:59as much
11:00as the sunnah
11:01as possible
11:02for the sunnah
11:03maqida
11:04then you can
11:04follow the sunnah
11:05even
11:06staying away
11:08from the major sins
11:09then from the
11:10medium sins
11:11then from the
11:12minor sins
11:12as much as possible
11:14but no human being
11:15can be perfect
11:16hope the answer
11:17to the question
