00:00Because Seattle, like, it was a heck of a season.
00:02I don't want that to go underreported.
00:05Julio Rodriguez put together an amazing ALCS.
00:08He put together a great postseason.
00:10I feel like he kind of solidified himself as that budding superstar.
00:15Maybe we call him a superstar going into 26.
00:17I don't know.
00:19Cal Raleigh, you know what?
00:20I know it was a rough game six.
00:21He homers in game seven.
00:23Seattle played a heck of a series, man.
00:25Like, this was, and I mentioned it off the top,
00:27like a total gut punch of a series for Seattle.
00:30Who was hunting their first World Series appearance ever.
00:32They remain the only team in Major League Baseball
00:35without an appearance in the Fall Classic.
00:37It's really, really tough.
00:39Because they were right there.
00:41And I did feel like, and I'm curious what you guys think.
00:46I think the Mariners had the better roster.
00:49Like, I think from one to 26,
00:52you're probably taking their rotation.
00:55I think you're definitely taking their bullpen.
00:58And when it comes to the offensive numbers,
01:00they really weren't that different.
01:02And we also know that home runs oftentimes win out in the postseason.
01:07And the Mariners were one of the league leaders in home runs, right?
01:11They outslugged the Blue Jays during the regular season.
01:14But then you could argue, well, did the Jays have a better lineup?
01:17Because they led Major League Baseball in batting average,
01:19in on-base percentage, in contact rate.
01:22And it was a really, like, fun back-and-forth kind of a chess match.
01:26And that's why we saw it go seven.
01:28But it's got to feel so tough because you can make a real argument
01:31this was the best team in Seattle's history.
01:33Of course, we already talked about it the other day.
01:36That team that set the record for wins in the regular season back in 2001.
01:41You know, now there's certainly an argument with this team not getting passed.
01:45It's just got to be a knife to the heart.
01:48Because they were right there.
01:49They were winning this game until that big swing.
01:52It felt like they were going to win this game.
01:55It felt like they were going to win this game.
