00:00Kyle Raleigh hit 300 in the playoffs and also hit a solo home run last night in game number seven.
00:06It just wasn't good enough to the victors.
00:08We like to say go the spoilers, but also there's the opposite end of that spectrum and devastating, devastating loss here.
00:14Here's Kyle Raleigh.
00:15What's the feeling in the room right now?
00:17It just sucks.
00:22Hurts.
00:24Yeah.
00:26This is a very emotional time for you and everyone else.
00:29It's just what's going through your mind right now.
00:33Just, you know, thinking about what we could have done better, you know.
00:41You know, you look back at a lot of points in the game, you know, where you could have taken advantage of or even the series.
00:52And, um, yeah, it's, uh, it hurts.
00:57And, but I don't want that to take away from, you know, like I said, I'm proud of the guys in this room.
01:03I thought we fought all the way to the end.
01:06Um, like I said, uh, it was a great group of guys and I love every single one of them.
01:13Yeah.
01:13There's Kyle talking about that loss, which makes it even worse.
01:15Cause everybody's been in a sporting event.
01:17I don't care what level you played at.
01:18You make it to a championship game and you just get smoked out.
01:21Yeah.
01:21It hurts.
01:22It was like, man, you know, we gave our best effort.
01:24You have a three to one lead in the bottom of the seventh inning.
01:26You are already thinking about, man, we're going to make the world series.
01:29How exciting this is.
01:30And it gets ripped out from under you in one swing of the bat from George Springer.
01:34That's gotta be a tough pill to swallow for the boys in Seattle.
01:37It is.
01:38I mean, and listen, you had two shots at closing it out.
01:42You had a game six and a game seven and you just didn't, you didn't get the, the hits that
01:48you needed, but we're talking, you know, Toronto is the epitome of a good and borderline elite
01:55hitting team that also can throw the home run in there and make life miserable for pitchers.
02:01And all the edges that they had from a pitching standpoint were gone because Toronto is hitting
02:06guys from first to third because they're hitting singles, the right field.
02:10They're not always swinging for the fences.
02:13You know, when you hit almost 300 and a post season this far, you're doing a lot of things
02:17very well at the plate.
02:19You're not striking out all Seattle did.
02:21What do was strike out at big moments.
02:24So, you know, I think they're going to be fine moving forward.
02:27It's heartbreaking, but I don't think this is the last that we've heard of this Mariners
02:31team with all these young guys there.
