00:00and one QB who's in the spotlight a little as Cam Ward.
00:05As his head coach is fired,
00:07a decision that felt inevitable made by the Tennessee Titans
00:10to let go of Brian Callahan,
00:13and a lot of that to do with things beyond Cam Ward's play.
00:20But if Cam Ward looked great, maybe that could have saved his job.
00:24He hasn't.
00:25Now, the yardage has started to come up in the last two games
00:27throwing for 220-plus in each of them.
00:30But Cam Ward has been really bad.
00:31Now, there are good throws within the film,
00:34but there's also some bad decisions.
00:36There's carelessness from the football.
00:38Against this New England defense here,
00:41what are you expecting from Cam Ward to the Titans today?
00:43Again, he needs to develop.
00:45If this team, whoever the head coach is next year,
00:48he needs to be ready for year number two.
00:51There's no need to run Tajay Spears and Tony Pollard 46 times in the game.
00:57I would hope that they utilize a little bit of tempo in this matchup,
01:01get Cam Ward to go through the progressions.
01:04Again, when you look at the playmakers, Ridley's out for this game, right?
01:08Who's he going to go to?
01:10I mean, it's like looking at an XFL type of roster,
01:16and that is the problem, right?
01:18He doesn't utilize the tight end as much.
01:21You know, Gunnar Helm, you draft a guy, you don't use him.
01:24He's got nine yards on one reception.
01:27That can't be.
01:28If Cam Ward is going to be an NFL quarterback,
01:32you open up the playbook, you allow him to read coverage,
01:36you take the good, the bad, and the ugly,
01:37wins or losses are insignificant right now.
01:40You need to get him developed.
01:42Now, I know the staff will think that in their minds,
01:45we have a chance to win it against New England,
01:47and Vrabel's coming back home.
01:49He's going to look to pound them today,
01:50especially with Drake May and knowing what they were able to do
01:54against New Orleans last week.
01:56Keyshawn Booty blew through his number,
01:58coming back home to the Bayou.
02:00I expect Drake May to have a big performance,
02:03but again, what are they going to take away?
02:06They're going to take away the deep ball,
02:07so everything else is going to be underneath.
02:09He has to be patient today.
02:11I would take the points just because, again,
02:15I believe New England should be a 7.5, 8-point favor
02:19based off the body of work, but it is back-to-back road games,
02:23and I think everybody's going to hammer New England
02:26because Vrabel coming home.
02:28I'm inclined to take the points here.
02:30So this is a side where I don't mind anyone playing Tennessee in this game,
02:35but I'm not running to do so,
02:36and those 7s are largely gone down to 6.5 here.
02:40In this spot against the Patriots team,
02:43that is on a third straight road game,
02:45but I think the Vrabel back in Tennessee factor
02:47should keep them steady and focused,
02:49and the other thing is getting in front of right now,
02:51a quarterback with a hot hand,
02:53and that's exactly what Drake May is, Joe.
02:55Drake May last week with three passing touchdowns,
02:57multiple to your guy Keyshawn Booty,
02:58which you people, he would be in the mix heading back to the Bayou.
03:02Drake May's got 100-plus passer rating now
03:04in every single game since, you know,
03:07following week number one.
03:09He is playing like a top-five quarterback in the league right now,
03:15and we've seen these year-two leaps,
03:17and it feels like Drake May is making one here, Joe.
03:20Yeah, he is.
03:21Again, I didn't think he would be one of the elites.
03:24I thought it was Caleb and obviously Jaden Daniels.
03:26I do think there's room for multiple from this class.
03:29No, there is.
03:29This wide receiver core is slowly developing into becoming above average.
03:36I will say that.
03:37If you can get Keyshawn Booty to be the player that he was,
03:40or at least 90% before the issues off the field
03:44and potentially him coming out of LSU with Stephon Diggs, the veteran,
03:48they have competent wide receiver play, right?
03:50And now you see the tight ends.
03:52Hunter Henry is always a good option for Drake May.
03:56Again, you know, this team has an identity right now.
04:00They're building confidence.
04:01They got back-to-back road wins.
04:03The win in Buffalo elevated this team
04:05in the belief that they could be a playoff contender,
04:08and Drake May has slowly become that leader, right?
04:12Right.
04:12That quiet confidence right now is developing.
04:15I want to say it's – I don't want to utilize Mac Jones,
04:18but when Mac Jones had success in New England,
04:21it's similar to the success of Drake May in year two.
04:24And again, Vrabel has been a great addition to the staff.
04:27He's been a leader and has basically weeded out the good and the bad here.
