00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark. I'm Promeet and today we are driving the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
00:08Now, before we buckle up and start driving, let me tell you that the E-Class has a base variant,
00:14which is the E220D, which is actually the diesel variant. And this one that we are driving today
00:19is the E450. Now, this is a much more powerful variant. It has the same features like it has
00:26in the E220D, but the engine is really, really powerful. It's a three-liter six-cylinder petrol
00:31engine and this thing produces some very, very decent amount of numbers and you'll be really
00:36shocked the 0 to 100 timing of this car. Stay tuned to this video and I'll be telling you
00:41everything you need to know about this luxury sedan. So first things first is when you see the car from
00:52the outside. It actually is a very long car and it gives you that S-Class vibe. Well, the E-Class is
00:58actually called the Mini S-Class because it has a lot of things similar like the length of the car,
01:04the interiors, the comfort, everything is actually top-notch. So very first thing that you will see
01:11is this color. Now, this is called the Verde Silver Metallic and this is an anniversary edition color
01:17that they have given looks absolutely fantastic. I mean, this color is really a head turner and
01:24overall at the front, you get your LED laser headlights. Now, the 220D, which is the base
01:29variant, they get normal LED headlight, but this thing gets LED laser headlight. That means that
01:35the headlight is absolutely phenomenal. The high beam is so bright that if you have some smog or some dust
01:41in front of you and you put high beam, it'll actually, the light is so bright, it'll reflect
01:45back and hit your own eye. But if you keep it on auto mode, it will do its job. It has the matrix
01:52laser headlights. So it is just phenomenal how the headlights work. Now, if you move to the side of
01:57the vehicle, you will notice that this thing gets these 18-inch wheels. Now, this is not an AMG trim,
02:04but the only thing that is AMG about this are the wheels that will get. So 18-inch AMG wheels and
02:10these wheels are shrouded in some very beefy tires, which in my opinion does not look really nice
02:16because a little low-profile tires could have been slightly better. But what these tires do is they
02:21give you some extra comfort, some extra cushioning, and that is why there is absolutely no noise in
02:27the cabin. If you move to the back, you will see the E450 badging. It gets a 4-Matic badging. That
02:32means it's a four-wheel drive. It's an all-wheel drive all-time. And you get your typical LED
02:36matrix taillights as well. That is actually very nice. Now, if we move on to the inside. Now,
02:44first thing is that this is finished in this white interior that gives you that premium,
02:48that luxury vibe. Let's start from the rear section. So the rear section is where you'll
02:51actually be in the E-Class, but I'm not denying that you won't drive the car. But the rear section
02:57is nice. You get two seats. You actually get a center seat as well, but that can be folded down
03:01for an armrest. Best seated for two people. You can adjust the seat as per your liking and it can
03:07be reclined as well. There is a chauffeur package for the left-hand side rear seat where you can
03:14adjust and move the front seat if no one is sitting. So you can get that extra legroom and you can stretch
03:20yourself out and travel at peace. Now, you also get four-zone climate control and that is a good thing
03:25where individually you can adapt all the climate settings. That has a smaller section that's at the
03:31back, but the bigger section is at the front over here. And yeah, it is absolutely comfortable at the
03:38back. But when you step into the driver's seat is then you realize that how agile and how nimble
03:45and how efficient this E-Class is to drive around. Now, let's talk about the seats. Now, first of all,
03:51as you can see over here, these cushionings, they are very, very nice. They give you that extra support
03:55and the neck. You're very comfortable while driving. Please do not drive this car when you
04:00are a little sleepy because definitely you will fall asleep. It is so comfortable. Seats are
04:06electronically adjustable for driver and passenger. They have memory options. They have eating options.
04:10They have massage options. So everything that can make someone comfortable in a journey is there in
04:15the C-Class. And if you see the space, obviously this is a long car. So, I mean, no wonder they call it
04:22the Mini S-Class because it has all the features of it. If you see the screen over here, it's not that
04:27hyper-connected screen, but there are two connected screens. There are total of three screens at the
04:32front one for the passenger. One is the main screen and one is the instrument cluster. But the connected
04:37screen are the two screens. That is the passenger one and the main screen that's in the center.
04:41However, the cluster over here is slightly different. It's a fully digital cluster, but it's placed
04:45differently. It's not got that hyper-connected screen. Overall, it's a good car. You have
04:52leather finishing all over. You have contrast stitching and you also get a camera on the
04:59dashboard. Now, this camera, basically what it does is you can take photos, you can take videos,
05:03do video calls, not while you're driving, but this can do all that feature. If you don't have a camera
05:08and if you're traveling and you want some memories to be captured, that will help you do that. So,
05:13it gets a round steering wheel and it gets these touch control steering mounted controls, which
05:18I personally don't like. I mean, they are nice. They are very agile, but by mistake, if you are
05:24turning the steering wheel and that thing actually can change the setting of the vehicle. So, I mean,
05:28it's a little, you have to get used to it. I'm not saying it is bad, but it could have been slightly
05:34better. And to top it off, you also have this surround sound system from Burmester. That sounds
05:39absolutely mental. You just need to get it configured correctly. And after that, it is,
05:47it'll just blow your mind. The way the surround sound system works, the 4D sound effect,
05:52there are speakers inside the seats as well that give you that extra thumb when the bass is hitting.
05:59So, I mean, all of that, you get 4D sound. So, it is absolutely phenomenal.
06:06The interiors are top-notch. The exterior, if you see this paint shade that I told you,
06:11that's the Verde Silver Metallic. It's an anniversary edition. Overall, this car looks really, really
06:16stunning. So, now let's quickly tell you the specifications and the briefing of this E450 Mercedes.
06:25So, now let's talk about the specifications of the E450. Now, this gets a very powerful engine.
06:31As I told you, it gets a six-cylinder, three-liter engine that's a turbocharged petrol unit. And this
06:37produces 381 bhp of power and 500 nm of peak torque. It comes mated to this nine-speed
06:44Steptronic gearbox. And this thing can propel the car from zero to hundred in just four-point
06:50seconds, which is claimed by Mercedes. I mean, you'll really not expect an E-Class. The
06:55car of this size, length, width, and height to perform such brilliantly. It is mind-blowing the
07:02way this thing just accelerates. Steering wheel is very nice. It adapts to the modes that you,
07:08if you talk about modes, there you can see you have Sport, you have Comfort, you have Eco,
07:13and then you also have an individual. We'll just switch to Sports, where everything, the engine,
07:18the gearbox, the ESP, everything is on Sport. And obviously, the steering becomes a slightly heavier,
07:24and the throttle response becomes absolutely crisp. Suspension is also nice. It's very comfortable.
07:30Obviously, it has to deliver that level of comfort when you're either driving it or you're being
07:35chauffeured around. The suspension setup is actually very nice. I mean, you are just floating. It actually
07:41feels like you're floating. And this car also gets a 48-volt battery. That helps this car produce
07:47almost 23 bhp and a little more than 200 nm of peak torque for that brief moment that you're
07:53accelerating. So, you get that push, you get that feel. Let me just quickly accelerate and overtake
07:58over here. There you can see. No problem whatsoever. I mean, if you have some space, just go for it. This
08:06thing will go. But obviously, keep that in mind that this is a really, really long car. So, you have to
08:11be careful and watch the back as well. It is a fantastic machine. It turns heads. It drives like
08:20a beast. As I mentioned, Wolf and Shreve's clothing. Well, we have already arrived at our location where
08:27we'll be doing left road on the brake, right front of the accelerator, pressing hard. And here we go.
08:33Just look at it, accelerate. And we already touched 100, 140, 50, 180. Damn. Within a kilometer. I mean,
08:51it's hardly like what, 800, 700, 800 meters. And this thing already reached like 180. Let me do it
08:58once again for you. Again, launching. There you go. 4MATIC working its beauty. Not losing any grip.
09:09And 130, 150. And we have some people in the front. So, we will do brake.
09:16But this thing definitely is something you need to experience. A car this size, accelerating like that
09:25is something really, really phenomenal. It is just mind-blowing how this car reaches from 0 to 100.
09:31And then from 100 to 200. It's not just 0 to 100. It's all the way up to 250 that it's top speed.
09:38And this thing can move. Here we go. Once again, a little bit of acceleration over here.
09:46It sounds also nice. It does not have a lot of grunt. But 150 is just coming up like that. It's
09:55really unbelievable. So, yeah, guys, this was the all-new Mercedes E450. And it's a brilliant car.
