00:10out with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Now, this one that we are driving is the E-220.

00:27well, this particular model is priced at almost 80 lakh rupees.
00:30So you will get it at just under one crore on road.
00:35It is just a fabulous luxurious car. Well, no wonder this is called the baby
00:40S-Class because if you talk about the features inside, if you talk about the
00:43way the seats are, the comfort.
00:45And especially the plush and comfortable ride that this has to offer this.
00:50This is the cabin. That is, if you want a sedan that is under one CR and off
00:55it offers you a lot of tech with a lot of comfort. You are at the right place and you are looking
01:00at the all new E-Class. So let's see from the outside and on the inside, what does Masai
01:05Mercedes has to offer with the E220D and that's priced at almost 80 lakh rupees ex-showroom.

01:15So let's start talking about the key of the vehicle. Now, this is how the key looks like we can open
01:20the boot, there's a lock and an unlock button. Let's quickly open the hood and
01:25on the inside, obviously you have hydraulic struts and that is the two litre diesel engine.
01:30It also has a 48 volt mile hybrid system that gives it a little extra power and
01:35torque when it's required. So that's basically a boost. So this thing is the two litre four-cylinder diesel engine
01:40that produces almost 194 bhp and 440 nm of peak torque. Let's quickly open the hood.
01:45Close the boot and yes, that is how the front end looks like. That is the grill of the vehicle.
01:50Where you can see you have the stars covering all of it. Now this thing has the radar.
01:55On the inside, that is synced with the camera working for the level 28 as features.
02:00That is the headlight of the vehicle. Now if you see over here, the headlight
02:05lights are absolutely phenomenal. There is no projector, but it's a reflector based LED.
02:10It's absolutely phenomenal and you have LED high performance written right over there. That is the DR.
02:15that is present over there and you do not have additional fog lights. This thing absolutely
02:20looks fantastic. I mean, just look at the shape of the headlight, right? So we have parking sensors and if
02:25we talk about the grill over here, you can notice that it has somewhat of chrome. Well, there's a lot of chrome.
02:30on the grill because that obviously defines some amount of luxury.
02:35So you have chrome at the front, you can see you have chrome at the rear section as well, right over here.
02:40And you also get this piano black finishing that is all around that actually looks very, very good.
02:45Very nice. And these are the hood lines and freezers. You have the Mercedes logo right over here.

02:50Let us quickly go to the side and show you how this car actually looks like. So this
02:55is a new color that is there. It was not on the E-Class before, but now the E-Class has this color.
03:00It looks absolutely gorgeous. That is the three quarter profile of the car. You get these 80
03:0518 inch wheel. Tire profile is 255 55 R18 where you have a chunky side profile that gives you
03:10the cushioning and as well as that you have less damage to the tire because obviously the side profile is
03:15thicker. So it saves you from the side wall cuts as well. Well, you can see
03:20you have chrome on the side as well, right over here. And if we notice
03:25down over here, you see the ground clearance is 156 MHz.
03:30which is technically a little low, but overall, I think it is
03:35a good amount of ground clearance. Well, if you have people on board, then you have to be careful
03:40otherwise you will definitely scrape it. That's the 220D badge, a chrome strip that is running
03:45along. That is the tail light of the vehicle. Well, you can see over here that the tail light is
03:50kind of wrapped around. You have the starry pattern on the inside that looks good. Let me quickly open
03:55the boot. Since this is an electronic boot, the boot opens easily and
04:00you have a 540 litre boot space. You can't fold down the
04:05seats over here. But yeah, the boot space is pretty massive. That's your first
04:09head kit right over here.
04:10Here are some hooks. If you open this, you have a space saver right here and that is
04:15your tools to change it. Apart from that,
04:20I mean the loading lip is slightly on the higher side, but it's fine. It's a flat lip. So
04:25loading luggage will not be difficult. That's your button. Just press this and since this electronic
04:30boot, obviously it closes on its own. Well, if we talk about somewhat of chrome, there you go.
04:35You can see that the tailpipes on this are obviously they look like tailpipes or the tailpipes are hidden under.
04:40It's not an exposed tailpipe. And yeah, the chrome on this also looks nice.
04:45Because obviously you have to have some amount of chrome for that luxury feel. So that is
04:50what they have given over here. And that is how the car looks from the other side.
04:55Absolutely stunning. Now let us quickly go on the inside and there you go.
05:00You had flush door handles. The moment I just touched it because I have the key with me, so it opened.
05:04You have Mercedes Benz over here.
05:05You have a lighting element on the door handle. And that is how the rear.
05:10The rear section looks like. Just look at those seats. I mean.
05:15From the headrest to the backrest to the under thigh support. These are your controls for your
05:20seats. Well, obviously they control the way the headrest moves, the backrest moves and also
05:25you can see you can move the seat forward and backwards. Your electronic sun blinds.
05:30And that's your Burmester surround sound system. That is absolutely fantastic. Now this thing over here is
05:35basically a centre armrest. And plus you have a third seater.
05:40As well. But if you absolutely have necessity that someone wants to sit over here then you fold
05:45otherwise we recommend two people at the back.
05:50Four zone climate control. That's your control for. That's your two controls.
05:53This one is for this side and this one is for.
05:55The left hand side. Some storage space as well over here.
06:00Well thought. AC vents over there. AC vents over here.
06:05And that is how the seat looks like. You have memory cushion form as well.
06:10And obviously you can see the gap over there. Well if I do this you can see that the seat is going
06:15back. And yeah that is how you can recline. And you have a boss mode over here as well.
06:20Well this is basically if there's no one sitting at the front. And if you hit this button this seat will go all the way up.
06:25And you will have a ton of leg room over here. So that is basically.
06:30Your rear profile on the E-Class. Now these are.
06:35Your sunshade buttons. These buttons are basically to control the sunshade. You have a rear sunshade as well.
06:40That you can open and close from here. Electronic sunshade can be operated from here. Right now it's.
06:45Not being operated because I think the child lock is on from there. So.

06:50Let's go to the front and let us check out that part as well.
06:55And yes. Soft closed doors are right there. Let me just show it to you. So.

08:45It's a pretty deep storage. And obviously. You have a two zone climate control at the front.

10:34especially on more cars the emergency braking system is so so hard that you literally get scared when
10:39it basically applies the brakes so what they have done is now this when you switch it off usually
10:44what used to happen is this come back on when you switch on the vehicle but now if you switch it off
10:48it will permanently
10:49be off until you want it on and obviously you have a camera over here that helps
10:54you record things helps you do meetings and basically take videos and photos
10:59photos of your trip if you are going on one and let me just show you one more feature
11:04so as you can see over here these are oscillating vents all the four vents are automatic
11:09vents they are very nice and what they can do is you can set them separately
11:14so if you want to set this side the right hand side for the driver if you want it only for the head
11:19watch the vent as well

11:20you saw that so now
11:24it's on the head i keep it on the uniform one so that the spread is even there you go you can
11:29obviously you can move it it's not like you cannot move it but yeah if you press it once again
11:34then obviously it will reset itself that's actually a very good thing i like
11:39about that so that is technically the cabin of the
11:44e-class the e-220d absolutely phenomenal cabin i must say i mean the
11:49the amount of comfort even the driver's side seat even the driver i mean the driver and the passenger
11:54you can just see over here the headrest has this foam and it is just so comfortable
11:59you actually i mean if you're on a highway a long highway you should take some breaks but
12:04because this car is so comfortable you will definitely fall off to sleep
12:07so the best thing is that you get a chauffeur
12:09and you sit behind you relax and you enjoy your drive so i think the cabin experience
12:14of the e-class especially d20 is actually nice and you also know that the
12:19the entry-level e-class has the e-220 then you have the e-220d then you have the e-450d
12:24now all of those from the outside on on the inside all the features that you see over here
12:29here actually remain the same it is the engine that is different on each one
12:34so technically on the outside the color the lights the alloys on the inside the
12:39entire dashboard layout this thing the steering wheel the center console the rear seats everything
12:44technically remains the same on all the e-classes it's just that the engine options refers an
12:49this is the diesel one and now let's quickly drive it and tell you a little more about the engine
12:54and the suspension setup on the all new e-class so now let me give you once again an engine brief
12:59of the e-class the e-220d so this is powered by a two liter four cylinder
13:04diesel engine that pushes out 194 bhp and 440 nm of peak torque
13:09well there is a 48 volt motor as well that's a kind of a start of the
13:14generator motor and that thing produces an additional boost it basically gives it an
13:19additional i think 2025 bhp of boost around 205 nm of peak torque well
13:24that boost is initially at the start or if the boost is required whenever you
13:29roll it and that thing actually punches the car so as i mentioned now we're going to do a quick pull i
13:34am gonna do it in comfort okay let's switch to sports here we go let's
13:39switch to sport mode and we will stop the car and that
13:44that's basically you're telling you your engine power your torque your temperature and all that
13:49and you'll see some uh graphs over here is basically when you accelerate this thing will go up so keep an eye
13:54eye on the screen as well and giving some pulling some boost and
13:59letting it go there you go so that additional boost basically helps in this only
14:04there we reach 100 almost and you can see the graph over the moment is shift
14:09you will see that tip over there and we are
14:14we have almost reached 150
14:19that is also again braking is also nice now this car remember is of
14:24very very very big car let us quickly shift back to comfort otherwise what happens in sport mode it cannot
14:29hold the gear for a very long time before it shifts so it's i mean does not
14:34it's a bit more noisy but yeah you you don't get those immediate shifts on back to back
14:39and uh yeah as i was mentioning so this is a very big car and uh it
14:44it has some weight to it as well so if you are gonna floor it please be careful don't think that this will
14:49stop absolutely like bang on this will stop the brakes are nice but since it's a heavy car it
14:54takes some amount of time for it to stop and now let us talk about the suspension on this now
14:59the suspension is absolutely mind-blowing i mean this kind of
15:04comfort level is being offered in the e-class where this was not at all before it is
15:09very comfortable broken it just glides over broken roads right now the road is not even even but
15:14i can't feel anything on the inside not i will not check anything but very very small
15:19conditions are being felt the nvh level could have been slightly but they could have been slightly
15:24a little more insulation under the hood so that on higher revs the engine note comes in but it is not
15:29bad it will not bother you it actually has a good grunt to it so i mean yeah this
15:34thing is nice it is absolutely great to drive uh triple is please no
15:39problem you can hold it on all day and if you talk of the fuel efficiency it is pretty fuel
15:44efficient as well i mean the company actually uh says that
15:49you can like more than like forget the company i'll tell you okay so
15:54within city you can get up to like maybe 13 to 14
15:59but on the highway if you're cruising and you put eco mode or maybe you're on comfort mode as well and if you
16:04set the cruise control well this thing can give off fuel economy of more than 20
16:09kilometers to a liter which i think is absolutely fin
16:14nominal so yeah guys this was the all new e-class the e220d the diesel variant
16:19if you talk about the pricing uh 80 lakh rupees x showroom is what this is um that's the x
16:24price is just below one crore and this is a fantastic car to drive around it has
16:29the luxury you can see it has i mean on the inside outside it is a good
