00:00Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you a remarkable story that unfolded during one of Dr. Zakir
00:05Naik's lectures. A sister named Dinda, a humble security officer, stepped forward with a sincere
00:12question. She explained that in her faith, Christianity, she was taught about the Trinity,
00:19the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. With honesty in her voice, she asked,
00:24Who is the Holy Spirit in Islam? Dr. Zakir Naik acknowledged that it was indeed a very good
00:31question. He reminded her, and the entire audience, that in Islam there is no concept of Trinity.
00:39Then, with calm authority, he posed a counter-question. Do you know that the word Trinity
00:45does not exist anywhere in the Bible? Can anyone show me where it is mentioned?
00:51The hall was silent. The sister admitted that although she had been told it was in the Bible,
00:57she could not recall any reference. Dr. Zakir Naik, as a student of the Bible, boldly declared,
01:05The word Trinity does not exist anywhere in the Bible. It is, however, mentioned in the Quran,
01:11not as truth, but as a warning. He quoted from Surah An-Nisa, chapter 4, verse 171.
01:19Do not say Trinity. And again from Surah Al-Ma'idah, chapter 5, verse 73.
01:27Which condemns those who say that Allah is three. He explained that while the Bible does not use the
01:34word Trinity, the closest verse is found in the first epistle of John, chapter 5, verse 7.
01:40For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And these three
01:49are one. But he pointed out that this verse has been proven to be an interpolation, a fabrication
01:55added later, and removed from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible by top Christian scholars
02:02themselves. Dr. Zakir clarified that the idea of the Trinity is not biblical teaching, but the teaching
02:10of the Church. The Church says the Father is a person, the Son is a person, and the Holy Spirit
02:17is a person. Yet they are not three, but one. Logically, he said, this makes no sense. In Islam,
02:25however, there is absolute clarity. God is one, indivisible, eternal, and without partners.
02:34Then Dr. Zakir took the discussion deeper. If Christians believe that Jesus died for three days,
02:42does that mean God died for three days? Can God die? He emphasized that this is impossible.
02:50In Islam, God can never die. The idea of a God who dies is not divine truth, but a Church
02:59doctrine. He then reminded the sister what Jesus himself taught. In the Gospel of Mark, chapter
03:0712, verse 29, when Jesus was asked about the greatest commandment, he repeated the words
03:15of Moses. Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. This, Dr. Zakir explained, is pure monotheism,
03:26the very heart of Islam. Dinda, he asked gently, Do you believe Jesus Christ was a messenger of God,
03:34or do you believe he was God? Without hesitation, she replied, Jesus is a messenger of God. Dr. Zakir
03:43smiled. Do you believe there is only one God? Yes, she answered. Do you believe that Prophet Muhammad
03:51is the messenger of God? Yes, I believe, she said firmly. At that moment, Dr. Zakir announced joyfully,
04:01Then you are a Muslim, sister. For to be a Muslim, you need to believe in two things, that there is one God,
04:09and that Muhammad is his messenger. The audience erupted in joy as Dinda declared her faith.
04:16Dr. Zakir guided her through the Shahada in Arabic, repeating after him,
04:20I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his servant and messenger.
04:27The hall filled with takbir, Allahu Akbar. Dinda had embraced Islam with her own free will.
04:33Dr. Zakir concluded by praying for her, May Allah forgive all your past sins, grant you the best in this world.
