00:00He had a press conference in which he basically outed everyone on the team
00:03that during player-only meetings, guys either didn't show up at all to them
00:08or were late to them.
00:09And we did this a couple days ago where that was not a knock on Mike McDaniel.
00:14That's a direct affront to him.
00:16That means that guys on the team don't respect him.
00:19And he's supposed to be the leader of the team
00:21as the highest-paid player in the quarterback.
00:24If you're calling a players-only meeting
00:25and dudes aren't showing up or are showing up late,
00:29it's disrespectful to you, meaning Tua lost the locker room.
00:33Here's his apology for what he said, and then we'll get into it.
00:36As a leader of this team, of the Miami Dolphins,
00:40the comments that had been said,
00:44I would say I've made a mistake, and I'm owning up to that right now.
00:49The intent was right, but no matter the intent,
00:54the intent can be right,
00:55but when things get misconstrued or however the media wants to portray it,
01:03that leaves a void of silence and a lot of questions.
01:07You can cut it right there.
01:07First off, there's nothing misconstrued by the media on this one.
01:11You came out and said guys are not showing up
01:13or are showing up late for players-only meetings.
01:16That's a direct quote from you.
01:17We didn't take that quote and spin it.
01:19We reacted to the exact quote.
01:20So let's not blame the media on this one.
01:22But here's my take on this.
01:25Tua didn't owe a single person an apology.
01:28You're shooting the messenger here.
01:30The people that should be apologizing to Tua
01:33and to the Dolphin fan base and to the Dolphin front office
01:37are the players that he's talking about.
01:40The fact that he kind of showed us what was going on behind the curtain,
01:45you can find that objectionable
01:46because what happens in the locker room in theory
01:48is supposed to stay in the locker room,
01:50and I'm respectful of that.
01:52But you can't be mad at Tua,
01:54nor should you demand that Tua apologize
01:57when he ain't the guy missing meetings.
02:00He's not the guy showing up late for meetings.
02:02He exposed those guys.
02:04So I understand if the team collectively
02:06has a problem with Tua because he's a rat
02:09or because he told family business publicly,
02:11I understand that dynamic and that relationship.
02:15But Tua doesn't owe anyone an apology.
02:18Number one, he didn't call out any player by name.
02:21He didn't say this guy was late.
02:24That guy didn't show up at all.
02:26He said collectively, we have a problem
02:29if teammates don't show up to a players-only meeting.
02:33It's also not a knock on Mike McDaniel.
02:36He doesn't control or call players-only meetings.
02:39The captains of the team do.
02:42Tua did.
02:42In this case, he's one of the captains of the team.
02:45But we do this all the time.
02:48The guy comes out and says something,
02:50and he's right to feel the way he feels.
02:52The reason the Dolphins are a rudderless ship
02:55is that there's no accountability in the locker room
02:58and certainly none from the head coach
03:00who appears to be dead man walking right now.
03:02But how about the guys that don't show up
03:06for the players-only meeting?
03:07The guys that show up late?
03:09There's a reason Jalen Ramsey
03:10is no longer a member of the Dolphins.
03:12He was one of those dudes when he was there
03:15that blew off meetings
03:16and showed up late to meetings.
03:18Tyree kills another guy
03:20that doesn't attend meetings on time
03:21and they allowed it to go on.
03:24So I don't know why Tua's apologizing
03:26for telling us what's going on.
03:28The people that should be apologizing
03:30to the hard-working fans that attend Dolphins games
03:33that spend their money on the Dolphins tickets
03:35and drinks and food
03:37and want to enjoy a little football on a Sunday,
03:39the players that don't take it seriously
03:42that aren't professional
03:44that don't attend these meetings
03:46either on time or at all.
03:48Those are the men
03:49that should be standing up behind a microphone
03:51apologizing.
