00:00Big developments on WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins injury status with new reports
00:13suggesting that WWE is still evaluating the World Heavyweight Champion, but there is a feeling that
00:19he may require surgery. What will that mean for the World Heavyweight Championship and Rollins
00:24moving forward? Let you know all the details on that. Plus, Chris Jericho has announced the first
00:29wave of talent for the 2026 Chris Jericho's Rock and Wrestling Rager at Sea Cruise, but interestingly,
00:35no AEW talent has been listed. Is this the first indication that the first ever WWE Undisputed
00:43Champion is set to leave All Elite Wrestling and could potentially be on his way back to WWE?
00:48All this and more in this news update.
00:59Hey guys, welcome back to Wrestling News 365. Hope everyone is doing very well. As always,
01:03there are plenty of new stories to get into in the world of professional wrestling, and let's begin
01:07with the very latest regarding WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and his potential injury
01:13status. Now, let's begin with a report from PW Insider. Now, according to a report from PW Insider,
01:20there's serious talk inside WWE that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins might need surgery
01:27on his shoulder or rotator cuff. While this hasn't been officially confirmed, several people within
01:33the company believe it's true and are preparing for that possibility. Rollins reportedly hurt himself
01:39during his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel Perth on Saturday. Then, on Raw Monday,
01:45he was attacked by Brom Breaker and Big Bronson Reed, which led to some fans beginning to wonder if WWE
01:51was using that attack to cover up his real injury. Some people in WWE are uncertain about how serious
01:59the situation is. Of course, last summer, Rollins convinced a lot of people that his knee was badly
02:05injured, but it turned out to be part of a storyline. Reportedly, the storyline upset many co-workers,
02:10leaving some frustrated and quite distrusting of WWE creative and Rollins himself. Because of that,
02:17according to PW Insider, a few are taking a wait-and-see approach before believing this new
02:23injury. According to the report, others inside the company think this time it is indeed real,
02:29pointing out that WWE wouldn't suddenly change Rollins' story unless something major had happened.
02:35If Rollins is truly hurt, it could mean big matches, especially potential ones against CM Punk
02:40and Roman Reigns, will have to be cancelled. Even so, some do see a bright side, giving Breaker and Big
02:46Bronson Reed big pushes, maybe with Paul Heyman guiding them, and it could freshen up WWE's creative
02:52direction. A high-level executive admitted Rollins was injured, but said no one knew how bad it was
02:58just yet. On Tuesday, word spread at WWE headquarters that surgery might be coming, but nothing has been
03:05confirmed publicly at the time of recording this video. There's also no official word about what would
03:10happen to the World Heavyweight Championship if Rollins can't compete for an extended period of time.
03:15So that comes from PW Insider. Now, the Wrestling Observer's Brian Alvarez has come out to state
03:21the legitimacy of Rollins' injury with confidence. He said, quote, Rollins definitely has a shoulder
03:27injury, Alvarez declared. He says, quote, it was from the coast-to-coast headbutt he is hurt, and so
03:34WWE pulled the trigger on the Brom Breaker turn on Seth Rollins, and it's it. The vision is over.
03:41Now, a clip of a recent Wrestling Observer broadcast featured Alvarez disclosing all known details about
03:47Rollins' current health situation that was posted Tuesday evening. In said clip, Alvarez attested to
03:53the legitimacy of Rollins' injury, but he did not claim to know the severity of said shoulder injury.
03:59According to Alvarez, Rollins is en route, or possibly already, in Birmingham, Alabama, for a medical
04:05assessment to determine whether surgery is necessary. Alvarez also claimed that, moving forward,
04:11Breaker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman will be the heel team for Survivor Series War Games.
04:17Interestingly, Alvarez named Austin Theory as a probable replacement for Rollins' place
04:22on the War Games team. Whether the former A-Town Down Under act will associate himself with the vision,
04:28War Games or not, has yet to be hinted or confirmed at all on WWE programming. Quote,
04:34There were plans for Seth to run the vision, at least through WrestleMania, Alvarez continued.
04:39The original WrestleMania idea was Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, and my guess is that Roman Reigns
04:44was probably going to beat Seth, and that was going to be the catalyst, probably at the Raw after
04:49WrestleMania, for Brom Breaker turning on Seth Rollins, and they strapped the rocket onto that guy.
04:55Alvarez ended by implying that Breaker's original post-WrestleMania push is still possible,
05:00whether WWE will follow through with a version of their original vision plans remains to be seen.
05:06Now, seemingly confirming this news regarding Rollins' injury is him actually being pulled
05:11from a series of upcoming live events for WWE.
05:15Now, understandably, WWE's upcoming tour of Japan is no exception to being affected by Seth Rollins' injury.
05:22Fans eager to see the architect in action will now have to wait until another day,
05:28as WWE has pulled the top star from their upcoming Japan tour,
05:31with a match involving hometown hero Shinsuke Nakamura and World Title's number one contender CM Punk
05:37set to take its place.
05:39WWE's two-night Super Show series in Japan is advertised,
05:43and it advertised Rollins for both nights as recently as September 27th,
05:47but after news of Rollins' injury hit the news cycles, the visionary has been dashed from the tour.
05:53Early iterations of the card advertised a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match
05:58between Seth Rollins and CM Punk on Super Show Friday,
06:01with a six-man tag team match between The Vision and Punk, Nakamura, and Jey Uso advertised for Saturday.
06:07With Rollins out of the picture, Punk is instead scheduled for a shot
06:10at Dominic Misterio's Intercontinental Championship on Super Show Friday,
06:14and what was originally Saturday's six-man tag team match has now been reduced to a tag team bout,
06:20with Nakamura and Punk taking on The Vision's Bronson Reed and Brom Breaker.
06:24The discrepancy between the original card and Monday's Vision implosion
06:27seems to confirm that Rollins' ousting from his own stable was not a predetermined story beat,
06:34and is a result of this injury, but again, we don't have any official confirmation on that.
06:40Now, as I mentioned, when it comes to the plans for Rollins heading into WrestleMania,
06:45now that this injury has possibly thrown a wrench into that,
06:48we've got details on what was seemingly planned for The Vision heading into next year.
06:53Now, it was expected that The Vision's story, as I mentioned, would continue heading into next year,
06:57and with Rollins' return timeline unknown at this period in time,
07:01Dave Meltzer has provided additional details on the World Champion's injury,
07:04and revealed who his planned opponent was for WrestleMania 42 in a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
07:10He said, quote,
07:11Within WWE, among people who are not there, it's a shoulder injury, they think.
07:16They don't trust it.
07:17Seth Rollins was tentatively scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
07:21I don't know this, but I have been told enough times to where I expected that there would be a turn on Seth Rollins at some point,
07:28because the whole thing with this faction was not about Seth Rollins.
07:31It was Brom Breaker, and it was about making Brom Breaker into the next Roman Reigns.
07:36I doubt it was going to be this early.
07:39Now, along with Meltzer, PW Insider has also reported that many within WWE have questioned the severity of Rollins' injury.
07:47They remain skeptical about him being legitimately hurt because of what happened earlier this year,
07:51but it does look like this injury is legitimate,
07:54and of course, we'll have to wait and see how this does play out.
07:57Of course, if you get any more details, we'll let you know in a future video.
08:00Now, a big development here when it comes to Chris Jericho and his AEW status.
08:05I made rumors of an All Elite Wrestling exit for their first ever world champion.
08:10As noted previously, Chris Jericho's contract with AEW is currently set to expire by the end of 2025.
08:17Jericho has been absent from AEW since this past April.
08:21Jericho announced yesterday that next year's Chris Jericho's Rock and Wrestling Rager at Sea Cruise event will be taking place on November 7th to the 11th, 2026,
08:31and it will be starting in Miami, Florida and traveling to Bimini, Bahamas.
08:36Jericho also announced the current talent scheduled to appear at this upcoming cruise.
08:40In an interesting note, no AEW talent were listed to be appearing on this upcoming cruise event.
08:46Past Jericho cruise events have featured several AEW talents.
08:50Current talent list for the 2026 Chris Jericho's Rock and Wrestling Rager at Sea Cruise includes the likes of Jericho himself,
08:56Jeff Hardy, Soraya, The Great Muta, Elena Black, the former Cora Jade in WWE,
09:01Ted DiBiase, Carlito, Shotzi Blackheart, you've got Vampiro, Marcus Bagwell, the Blue Meanie,
09:07there's the likes of Indy Hartwell, AJ Francis, Katie Catanzaro, Lacey Lane.
09:12He was, I suppose, technically with AEW right now.
09:15We don't really know if she's actually officially signed to a contract or anything like that.
09:18But interestingly, no prominent AEW talents are listed there.
09:21So is this an indication of Jericho's future with AEW possibly ending at the end of this year?
09:27Of course, if we get any more details, we'll let you know the status of the former Le Champion in an upcoming video.
09:33Let's go over to last night's WWE NXT and a big update when it comes to the NXT Championship.
09:38Ricky Saints threw out the challenge and Trick Williams accepted.
09:41Starting the October 14th episode of WWE NXT on the CW was the reigning NXT champion Ricky Saints.
09:47He went on to call out Trick Williams for bailing on him in the men's elimination match at NXT versus TNA Showdown.
09:53He proposed that Williams will face him at NXT Halloween Havoc.
09:57Williams accepted via video and said he'll face Saints on his own time.
10:02Later in the program, Williams attacked Saints and said he'll see him at Halloween Havoc.
10:06With that match being official, the title will be on the line on October 25th.
10:12Another match has been confirmed for Halloween Havoc.
10:15A singles match between Lexus King and AAA Latin American champion El Hijo Dr. Wagner Jr.
10:21took place on the October 14th episode of WWE NXT on the CW.
10:26Wagner Jr. secured the victory and post-match, he called out NXT North American champion Ethan Page,
10:32who he's been at odds with.
10:33Page came out and said he talked to NXT general manager Ava,
10:36and it was decided that Wagner Jr. will be facing him for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 25th.
10:45Wagner Jr. proposed that the match be a Day of the Dead match, which isn't anything goes about.
10:50So that match is also confirmed for the upcoming PLE.
10:53It was a return to WWE for Matt Cardona last night,
10:56but it wasn't a successful one for the former Intercontinental and United States champion.
11:01The October 14th episode of WWE NXT saw Josh Briggs go one-on-one with Matt Cardona.
11:07It was Cardona, the former Zack Ryder's first match under the WWE banner since 2020.
11:13Of course, he was released from the company that year.
11:15Their match came about when Cardona factored into Briggs not qualifying for the men's Team NXT team at NXT vs. TNA Showdown.
11:24Briggs wanted a match against Cardona and got it.
11:26In the bout, Briggs ended up pinning Cardona to secure the victory.
11:30So Cardona returned to WWE but wasn't successful whilst representing TNA Wrestling.
11:36Speaking of TNA, the rematch is locked in between the Hardys and Dark States.
11:41Coming up on October 25th from the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona,
11:47is NXT's Halloween Havoc Premium Live Events.
11:50The October 14th episode of NXT on the CW was a tape show,
11:54and there was a backstage segment with Javon Evans and TNA Exhibition champion Leon Slater.
11:58They were discussing how Dark State crashed their match at TNA Bound for Glory.
12:03Coming into the frame with the current TNA World Tag Team and NXT Tag Team Champions,
12:07the Hardy Boys.
12:08The Hardys defeated Lennox and Griffin for the NXT Tag Team Championships last week at Showdown.
12:13Matt and Jeff stated that the rematch is taking place at Halloween Havoc.
12:18Now, speaking of title matches at Halloween Havoc,
12:20the NXT Women's Championship will also be on the line.
12:23There was a battle royal last night on NXT to determine who would challenge Jacey Jane
12:28for the NXT Women's Championship at the NXT Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event on October 25th.
12:33The bout featured TNA talents, and there was a moment when Lash Legend attempted to save her former partner,
12:39Myra Sade, formerly known as Jakara Jackson, from elimination.
12:43A competitor in the match ended up running into Lash that sent Sade off the apron.
12:47Zaria eliminated herself from the battle royal when she saw Blake Monroe attacking Sol Ruka at ringside.
12:54Earlier in the night, Monroe defeated Zaria in singles competition.
12:58The final four in the match were Jordan Grace, Tatum Paxley, Izzy Dame and Kendall Gray.
13:02Dame eliminated Gray from the bout.
13:04Paxley had Grace set up for Dame to eliminate her.
13:07But when Dame charged at Grace, her momentum carried both herself and Jordan over the top rope,
13:11and Paxley won the match.
13:13The post-match, Lara Valkyria came out to celebrate with Paxley,
13:17and now she'll compete for the NXT Women's Championship at Halloween Havoc.
13:21Now, speaking of Fatal Influence, we've got an official new member of the faction.
13:25Lainey Reed is officially a member of Fatal Influence as of last night's episode of NXT.
13:31After taking out Jasmine Nix, the former member of Fatal Influence,
13:35and helping Jacey Jane retain the NXT Women's Championship,
13:38Lainey Reed was officially beside Jane and Fallon Henley in a vignette last night
13:42to reveal she is the newest member of the group.
13:45During the vignette, Jacey Jane and Fallon Henley praise reads loyalty to them,
13:49saying she did things the other never would have.
13:52Jasmine Nix was not referred to by name.
13:54She has since departed WWE since her final appearance,
13:57where she was kicked out of the group.
13:59She left WWE after not agreeing to terms on a new contract.
14:04We saw a return last night on NXT.
14:06NXT, OTM, is back on WWE's developmental brand.
14:09A triple threat tag team match took place on the October 14th WWE NXT,
14:13involving Chase University, the duo of Hank Walker and Tank Ledger,
14:17and the cuddlings Sean Spears and Nico Vance.
14:19As the match was ongoing, Bronco Nima and Lucian Price,
14:22collectively known as OTM, arrived on the scene
14:25and took out all the teams in the match.
14:27The last time that OTM wrestled on television was in May 2025,
14:32when they defeated Chase University's Kel Dixon and Uriah Connors.
14:35OTM wrestled on October 3rd at an NXT house show in Jacksonville, Florida.
14:41Now, several matches have been confirmed for next week's episode of WWE NXT,
14:44including a major title match.
14:47On the bill for the October 21st WWE NXT is a TNA X Division Championship match.
14:53The reigning champion, Leon Slater, will defend the bout against Channing Stax Lorenzo.
14:57The match came about when Stax walked into frame,
15:00while Slater and Javon Evans were chatting with NXT general manager Ava
15:03and TNA director of authority Santino Morella.
15:06Stax was flanked by Ariana Grace, the daughter of Santino.
15:10Santino then asked if his future son-in-law could get a title shot on NXT.
15:15Ricky Saints, of course, will be defending the NXT Championship against Trick Williams at Halloween Havoc,
15:19and they're set to have a contract signing next week.
15:21The returning OTM that we just spoke about are going to be in action against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.
15:27In addition to that, a tournament is about to start next week
15:30for the Opportunities Challenge for the Men's Speed Championship.
15:33The winner will challenge El Grande.
15:36The WWE Women's and Men's Speed Championships are now being defended exclusively on the NXT brand.
15:41A mini-tournament has been announced to determine who will be next to challenge El Grande Americano
15:46for the Men's Speed title.
15:47The tournament matches are listed as follows.
15:50You've got Shawn Legacy from Evolve taking on Axiom, of course, from Friday Night SmackDown.
15:55Zachary Wentz from TNA Wrestling will be facing NXT's Jasper Troy.
15:59The winners of those two matches will meet in a singles match,
16:02and the winner of that bout will go on to challenge El Grande Americano for the Men's Speed Championship.
16:08Now, we have viewership information for last Monday's edition of WWE Raw on Netflix,
16:14of course, the go-home show for Crown Jewel Perth.
16:17With Nilsson adopting a new way of monitoring ratings,
16:20wrestling viewership has become a hot topic once again recently,
16:23especially as ratings for WWE NXT, WWE SmackDown, AEW Dynamite, and AEW Collision have gone down.
16:30Unaffected so far by Nilsson is WWE Raw,
16:33though the red brand has had its own struggles over on Netflix,
16:37drawing a record low number of global views on September 22nd and September 29th,
16:43with a lower number seemingly likely for October 13th,
16:46due to the show airing early in the morning from Australia.
16:49Fortunately, there was some good news for Raw for their October 6th episode.
16:54WrestleNomics reports that the episode drew 2.4 million global views over the course of seven days,
16:59while still among the lowest numbers Raw has done since joining Netflix in January,
17:04the numbers were up from the record low 2.3 million views of the last two episodes.
17:09Also up was hours viewed, which rose to 4.8 million after being at 4.5 million the previous two weeks,
17:16also record lows.
17:18Despite Raw gaining viewership, it decreased in one key ranking.
17:22The red brand slid down to ninth in Netflix's global weekly rankings, down from eighth.
17:28It is the first time Raw has been lower than eighth globally since the beginning of the summer,
17:32when the June 16th episode also placed ninth.
17:35The episode did better in Netflix's domestic rankings, placing sixth,
17:39up from seventh place on September 29th.
17:42Serving as the go-home show for WWE Crown Jewel Perth,
17:45Raw featured Roman Reigns challenging rival Bronson Reed to a match at the big show,
17:49with the two agreeing to face off in an Australian street fight.
17:52The show also featured the continuation of EO Sky and Rhea Ripley's rivalry,
17:57with Sky's former stablemates Kairi Sane and Asuka,
18:00and Maxine Dupree scored an upset count-out victory over Becky Lynch,
18:04in a match that some felt was the best of Dupree's career.
18:07Now, a big update on Death Rebel,
18:10and if you're not a fan of WWE entrance music right now, it's a good update.
18:14If there's one complaint fans have had about WWE over the past few years that hasn't gone away,
18:20it's the theme music produced by one Death Rebel.
18:24The music group became WWE's primary team for creating entrance music over the last few years,
18:30and have largely been seen by fans as inferior to past composers Jim Johnson and the CFOs.
18:35And through it all, WWE has stuck with them, despite being aware of fan complaints,
18:40and some reports in the past suggesting WWE could be set to make a change.
18:45But recent news suggest a change could actually be coming.
18:49Body Slam Plus reports that Death Rebel is currently on their final contract with WWE,
18:54signaling that their collaboration with the wrestling promotion has an end date.
18:58However, when that end date is remains unclear,
19:01as no timetable is known for when exactly Death Rebel's contract expires,
19:06or if it can be renewed by WWE.
19:08This news comes as WWE have started to get their old entrance themes back,
19:14such as Shinsuke Nakamura, The Street Profits, and Kairi Sane.
19:18A report from WrestleVotes last Friday revealed that other superstars,
19:21such as Drew McIntyre and Sheamus,
19:23had been making requests to have their music changed,
19:26and it is believed that most talents in WWE have been frustrated with having little input in their music.
19:32As such, this news is seen as an attempt by WWE to quell any frustration in that regard.
19:39As for who would replace Death Rebel,
19:40it appears WWE may be going with the idea of using artists outside of the WWE umbrella
19:46to create new music for their stars.
19:48The promotion has already been in the midst of doing that recently,
19:51following collaborations with artists such as MegaRan and more.
19:55Now, Mark Shapiro, the COO of TKO,
20:00is set to be deposed next month in the WWE shareholder lawsuit.
20:04WWE's merger with TKO might have given the promotion access to massive new streaming deals
20:10and ushered in Paul Triple H Levesque as the forerunner or head of creative,
20:14but not all shareholders were happy about Vince McMahon's sudden return to WWE
20:18and the quick sale of the promotion.
20:21According to a WrestleNomics report,
20:23TKO President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro
20:26is set to be deposed in the ongoing WWE shareholder lawsuit
20:30and will provide his testimony on November 18, 2025.
20:34The class action suit, which was originally opened in November 2023,
20:39claims that McMahon predetermined the sale process
20:42and piloted WWE towards the deal with Endeavor,
20:45where Shapiro was one of the leading executives at the time.
20:49Despite this, the report clarifies that Shapiro isn't a defendant in the case
20:53and lists McMahon, Levesque, Nick Khan, George Barrios, and Michelle Wilson
20:57as the WWE board members who were all involved in the sale of WWE.
21:02Shapiro will likely be questioned about Endeavor's hand
21:05in allowing McMahon to retain control of WWE after the merger.
21:09In the case of McMahon, the former WWE chairman
21:11is set to be represented by separate counsel from the other named defendants,
21:16like the other names who have already or will be deposed in the lawsuit.
21:20Shapiro's testimony won't be available to the public immediately,
21:24but will likely become available in the future.
21:27The dates of other known depositions include
21:29Stephanie McMahon, October 24th,
21:31Paul Levesque, November 4th,
21:32Vince McMahon, November 12th,
21:34Nick Khan, November 19th,
21:36and Ari Emanuel on December 2nd.
21:39Of course, if you get any more details on that lawsuit
21:41or the developments, we'll let you know in a future video.
21:43Now, Stevie Turner has addressed her WWE departure.
21:46Stevie Turner was released by WWE on October 10th.
21:50Turner was the WWE Evolve general manager
21:52and an assistant to NXT general manager Ava.
21:55She posted the following statement on social media saying,
21:58I wanted to give it a few days to process my feelings
22:02and deliver a genuine message.
22:04I'm overwhelmed with love,
22:05and I'm so, so bloody proud of all I did as Stevie Turner,
22:09from working in NXT UK in my home of London,
22:12to leaving it all and flying across the world
22:14and achieving a life goal by moving to NXT Orlando.
22:18I was 4D, a streamer,
22:20made history in the first ever TNA NXT match
22:22and became the Prime Minister of Evolve.
22:24I loved every second of everything I did,
22:27and despite not having the simplest journey,
22:29I'm proud I always gave 100% to everything presented to me.
22:33I have no regrets, no loss of love,
22:35just a heart full of gratitude and wonder for the future.
22:38I'm excited to keep working on feature film
22:41Welcome to Paradise with Crucible Films
22:43and show what I can offer to the world of voice acting slash acting.
22:47And of course, I'm excited to lace my wrestling boots again.
22:50My one hope is that in all I've done,
22:52that I would have made my late tag partner Hannah Kimura proud,
22:55because without her,
22:56I would have never had the confidence to push further for my dreams.
22:59See you soon.
23:01So obviously a very nice message there from Stevie Turner.
23:04Now, Turner was signed by WWE in 2021,
23:06as part of NXT UK, as she mentioned.
23:08She competed as an in-ring performer for NXT UK
23:11and WWE NXT Level Up.
23:13She was Jordan Grace's opponent in June 2024,
23:16when Jordan Grace competed on NXT as a TNA knockout.
23:19She last wrestled in February at an NXT live event.
23:23Now, an update on Elimination Chamber next year
23:26and the location of the popular PLA has possibly been revealed.
23:30Seemingly, Elimination Chamber is headed to Chicago, Illinois in February.
23:34WrestleNomics reports that the annual event
23:36will take place on February 28th, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.
23:40A reported venue, though, was not given.
23:42The Wrestling Observer was first to report the news.
23:45WWE has not officially announced the date or location for the event.
23:49This would mark the first Elimination Chamber to take place in the United States
23:53since 2021, when the event was held inside the Thunderdome.
23:56Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Australia have hosted the last four events.
24:01Chicago last hosted a Premium Live event in November 2023,
24:05with Survivor Series, of course, the event,
24:07marked the WWE return of CM Punk.
24:09Of course, if you get any more details from that,
24:11we'll let you know in a future video.
24:13Now, more details on the WWE departure of Ridge Holland.
24:17Of course, his deal is expiring with WWE soon.
24:20Luke Menzies, formerly Ridge Holland,
24:23announced that his WWE contract will be allowed to expire on November 14th.
24:27Holland will be sidelined for the next six to seven months
24:30and revealed that WWE will continue to pay for the rehab for his injury,
24:34but will not, but of course,
24:35he will not be able to work during that period due to being injured.
24:38Now, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select,
24:39there were some fans who acted as if WWE paying the rehab was a good gesture.
24:44However, Ridge Holland was injured while working a TNA booking
24:47that was a part of his WWE contract.
24:49Not paying for his rehab would have been a situation
24:51that likely led to a successful lawsuit on Menzies' part.
24:55Beyond that, reports emerged from the Wrestling Observer
24:57that Menzies was on NXT money,
24:59which, according to Sean Ross Sapp, is accurate.
25:02Fightful Select has learned that Menzies' original main roster deal
25:04was actually up in November 2024.
25:06He was offered a one-year extension at about $200,000 less
25:11than what he had been making, and he accepted it.
25:13That deal is up in mid-November.
25:15Fightful have been told that Holland wasn't paid extra
25:18as part of the TNA talent exchange that saw him get injured.
25:21WWE talent that Fightful spoke to
25:23were reportedly universally disappointed
25:26that Holland was not being paid while injured.
25:29One veteran WWE male talent said
25:31that this would never happen pre-pandemic,
25:33and that it is a significant concern for many of the roster.
25:38And finally, speaking of injuries,
25:40details on the significant amount of time
25:43that Kota Ibushi is set to miss
25:44after he was recently injured on AEW collision.
25:47Kota Ibushi has announced it will be two years
25:50until he is able to return to pro wrestling,
25:53putting the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion
25:55out of action until 2027.
25:58Of course, Ibushi suffered a broken femur
26:16on the October 9th taping of AEW collision
26:19after he fell from the top rope to the outside
26:21during a match of Josh Alexander.
26:23Ibushi was quickly counted out,
26:25handing the victory to Alexander,
26:27and the 43-year-old was taken to local hospital soon after.
26:30Ibushi has suffered from several injury issues
26:32in recent years since he sustained
26:34a serious shoulder injury
26:35during the G1 Climax 31 final in 2021.
26:39That injury kept him out of action for 18 months,
26:41and he wrestled with a broken ankle and hand
26:43for pro wrestling Noah in January 2024,
26:46which would keep him out of action
26:47for several months as well.
26:48Should Ibushi be out of action until 2027,
26:51Ibushi will have only wrestled 23 matches
26:54in the six years since his G1 final injury.
