D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser warned the Fortune MPW Summit that ICE’s "unprecedented" immigration enforcement efforts are having a chilling effect on business.

00:16impact on business and I don't know that people are talking about that a lot. Organized business

00:23chambers aren't talking about it. What are you seeing the impact being in D.C. specifically

00:26on business? People aren't going to work. Because they're scared. Because they're scared and I think

00:35that we're going to see the tales of that for a long time whether we're talking about the restaurant

00:40industry or hospitality and tourism, construction, you name it. But that's a larger issue and I think

00:50right now people are focused kind of downstream and we need to focus upstream on this issue. How are we

00:57going to have reasonable immigration policies in our nation where people who are here, who've been

01:06here a long time, are they going to have a pathway to citizenship or not?
