During a press briefing on Wednesday, Democratic D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser spoke about a headline from the Washington Post that she claimed to be intentionally misleading.
00:00Yep. Sure. That's pretty strong language. It's accurate. The Washington Post intentionally had a misleading headline. It was misleading. Can you expand on that? I've said all I need to say, Mark. If they if they say that we were issued a statement that was welcoming, that is false.
00:23Mayor, you said it was intentional. That's what I called me. How do you know it was intentional? Well, this is what I know. They changed it. So I think they recognized that it was false. But I'm not sure why you would write it in that way and choose to describe the mayor's order as a signal that it wasn't.
00:45What it is, as I explained in my situational update the week before, is a framework that we will use inside government to deal during the emergency and after the emergency. And that's the fact. You ask about the timeline. Some of my mayor's orders have end dates and others are rescinded by a follow up order. And that's how this one will be dealt with.
