00:03And I think I'm more interested in the upgrade as that receiver.

00:06And this is going to be a big surprise, maybe. I don't know.

00:10I don't think you'll have to talk to him into it too much.

00:15I mean, I could certainly get there.

00:16Is it because the main root of it for me is always,

00:20I want to lean into the path that I'm going to win games in with this defense structurally.

00:24I might have to score 41 a game, so I've got to find a way to do that.

00:28Yes, I think you're on to mostly what I'm thinking.

00:33But ultimately what it comes down to is I think this defense is completely game script dependent.

00:37And Sean McDermott says it all the time.

00:40The Falcons or whatever team is allowed to be two-dimensional, right?

00:44Well, how do you get them one-dimensional?

00:45You have more points than you have them chasing it.

00:47And I'm not saying defense from defense. I am not saying that.

00:50But I think because of the structure of defense that you have

00:54and the personnel that you have defensively,

00:55your best way to get your defense in good situations

00:58is to be able to score a lot of points because they are game script dependent.

01:03If not, you're going to be in neutral game scripts.

01:05And when that's the case, your run defense is a problem, right?

01:10Like the issues there are very deep.

01:14And you're playing this coverage, you know, where you're pretty soft.

01:19And you need that margin for error.

01:21You need to create urgency for that other team to the point where they're scared

01:27of being able to keep up with Josh Allen.

01:30And boy, that was my whole narrative.

01:32I feel silly for my analysis the last two weeks because,

01:36and I think it's really the Bills just didn't align with it.

01:38It's like, I don't think Drake May can outscore Josh Allen for 60 minutes

01:42if the Bills play offense like this.

01:43Same thing with Michael Pennington.

01:4524 points should not be enough to beat the Bills.

01:48They scored 14.

01:49I think because of the way you play defense,

01:54your best opportunity is to control game scripts.

01:57And I think that starts with scoring points.

01:59And I just, I think they need too much on defense.
