Students at Gompers Elementary-Middle School in Detroit were welcomed back to class on Monday, after a girl was stabbed by a classmate the Wednesday before. WWJ's Charlie Langton reports.

00:00This is Gompers Elementary School here on the west side of Detroit.
00:05You can see that the community activists are lining up as well as Detroit police.
00:11There's a number of police officers here.
00:13This is the site where Wednesday's stabbing happened.
00:17A mother gave a knife to her kid.
00:19Her kid then stabbed a fellow student.
00:22School's been closed since, but it's going to be reopened.
00:24They're going to do a ceremonial hug and reassure the students that they are safe
00:29to go back to school and that they are locked.
