00:00The Trevi Fountain, probably one of the most iconic spots in Rome, and therefore also one of the most crowded.
00:07It can be overwhelming.
00:09Lauren looks a little overwhelmed. Look at all of these people.
00:13Thankfully, we got a tip for a free bird's eye view of the fountain without the crowds.
00:18After a day that was already packed full of tourist highlights, including the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, and the Colosseum,
00:24we were headed for one more stop for an aperitivo.
00:27We made our way towards the Trevi Fountain, and were pretty much immediately overwhelmed by the crowds.
00:32People, as far as the eye can see, it's stressful.
00:36But it is absolutely stressful.
00:38You get why everyone's here.
00:40Yeah.
00:40We braved all of those crowds so that we can come down here and toss a coin over our left shoulder
00:46to ensure that we will hopefully return one day to the city of Rome.
00:50The same guy at the hotel who told us to wait an hour to look through a keyhole...
00:54Would I do it again?
00:56No.
00:56Also told us about this cool spot to be the fountain.
00:59So we were skeptical, but this one turned out way better.
01:03You might be asking why did we dive into a clothing store.
01:07Well, this.
01:10This is why.
01:12All right.
01:13Got to get out of this tourist mess.
01:16Absolutely beautiful.
01:17There's way too many people here.
01:18So we're going to get out of here, go find the aperitivo that we set out to find.
01:22Oh my gosh.
01:32All right.
01:33Let's attempt to break down what we got here.
01:35We have some what I'm assuming is a capricolo salami.
01:39We are at a salami bologna.
01:41I think we also have like a pecorino cheese, some rocket olives, a little bit of fruschetta,
01:44some bread.
01:46Honestly, I'm in heaven.
01:4910 euro for the board.
01:50Brent's was reasonable.
01:51I think it's like 4 euro.
01:52And this place is awesome.
01:54All right.
01:56Garrett is inside paying at the salamaria.
01:58And I have to just say that salami, bologna, all of those meats that I kind of can't exactly
02:04stomach back home are so, so much better here.
02:08They have spice.
02:09They're fresh.
02:10They're absolutely amazing.
02:12And so if you come to Italy and you think I hate bologna, I hate, you know, some of those
02:17fattier cuts of meat, try them here.
02:20They slice them so thin.
02:21The spices, the seasoning are just amazing.
02:24Give it a second go.
02:25We have a long walk to our dinner.
02:27It is right over there.
02:31All right, guys.
02:32We just finished dinner.
02:33Lauren had the carbonara and it was very good.
02:37Chef's kiss.
02:38Yeah, chef's kiss.
02:39I had the lamb and potatoes and it was very good.
02:43The meat was so tender and it fell off the bone.
02:45It was scrumptious.
02:47I've been using that word a lot.
02:48I don't know why.
02:50But we are now headed back to the hotel to get some shut-eye and we have a bright and
02:53early morning tomorrow and we are headed to go see the Vatican.
02:56So it should be pretty cool.
02:57Ciao for now.
02:58Arrivederci.
03:00Bye.
03:00We lied.
03:01We didn't go home yet.
03:03I saw a gelato and I had to stop.
