Authorities in Tennessee held a press briefing following the deadly explosion at the Accurate Energetic Systems (AES) explosives plant, which killed multiple individuals and left others unaccounted for.
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis, Hickman County Sheriff Jason Craft, and ATF Supervisory Special Agent Guy McCormick provided updates, describing the scene as volatile and evolving "minute by minute."
Sheriff Davis grew emotional while describing the devastation felt by both counties: “We’ve got communities that have been truly devastated. It’s a tremendous loss.”
Officials confirmed that no survivors have been recovered from the scene. The FBI, ATF, TBI, and other agencies are conducting a meticulous investigation, with over 300 personnel involved.
