00:00Now, on BBC Two, you should be dancing, yeah?
00:26Please welcome your host, Jeanette Munrara.
00:30Action!
00:35Hello and welcome to Friday's It Takes Two.
00:39We are live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
00:42It's movie week and we are so, so close to an action-packed weekend.
00:46And in just, let's see, 23 hours, 34 minutes and 28 seconds,
00:53our couples take to the dance floor for their starring roles.
00:56But for one unfortunate duo, the credits will roll on this Strictly journey.
01:00I can promise you, it's going to be a blockbuster.
01:03So with no time to waste, let's see my star-studded lineup for this evening.
01:07She capped off the perfect birthday with a samba that flew her to the top of the combined leaderboard last Saturday.
01:13Tomorrow, Amber and Nikita will be doing a Sound of Music-inspired American Smooth.
01:18But with her scores at 16 going to 17, we'll find out.
01:22We were transported to Cuba last week as Jimmy and Lauren shook their hips and transformed us to an amazing cha-cha-cha nightclub.
01:30But with the first Roomba of the series this weekend, inspired by James Bond,
01:34we'll be asking whether this routine is shaken, not stirred.
01:37And we're heading off to the training room to find out how George and Alexis and Vicky and Kai are getting picture-perfect ahead of movie week.
01:46And as always, we want to hear from you.
01:48Do you want to know what Amber's dream role is?
01:50Or maybe Jimmy's favorite film?
01:52Get in touch by WhatsApp using our 0800-022-3801 number.
01:58But first, some breaking news.
01:59Due to illness over the past few days, Stefan Dennis has been advised by doctors to rest.
02:05And as a result, he will not dance this weekend.
02:08In line with the rules of Strictly, Stefan and Diane will receive a bye-through to next week,
02:13where they will hopefully be able to dance again.
02:16Stefan, we're sending you our best wishes, and we can't wait to have you back soon.
02:20But now, back to tonight's show.
02:22Grab your popcorn, your big soda, and get comfortable.
02:25It's time for the Strictly matinee everybody wants a ticket for.
02:30It's my Friday panel.
02:40He's a stand-up who used to be a bouncer, and now he's letting us all in on his Strictly opinions.
02:47It's Emma Nolson-Ubi.
02:50She's a TV presenter and a former star of Emmerdale, Holly Oaks, and even Neighbors.
02:54And tonight, she's getting on her soapbox.
02:57It's Sheree Murphy!
02:59And finally, she's a DJ and TV presenter, and she's here to lay it all on the line.
03:05It's Lauren Layfield.
03:09Hello, hello.
03:09I love that we're already eating the popcorn.
03:11Right, there are still 13 couples who will be doing their Strictly tributes to some very, very famous films this weekend.
03:17They've all been rehearsing today in the ballroom.
03:19So let's crack on.
03:20Let's get into it.
03:21We're going to start with Harry and Karen.
03:23They're doing a salsa.
03:23They're going to be doing a tribute to Mufasa, the Lion King.
03:26Now, Sheree, his scores have improved from week one to week two.
03:31Will the salsa be the right dance to keep him on that upward trajectory?
03:35I think so, definitely.
03:37I feel like he is just loving every minute.
03:40And you can tell that when you're watching at home.
03:41You know, that's what I love about, you know, some of the Strictly contestants, that you can really see that they're enjoying the whole experience.
03:48And I think this will be such a good dance for him.
03:50He's got that movement in his hips and stuff.
03:52So I think he'll smash it.
03:54And the lifts.
03:54I can't wait to see what lifts they're going to do.
03:56I know!
03:56So exciting.
03:57But, Emma, no, they are going to be playing Alliance this weekend.
04:00What do they have to do?
04:01What is their, like, kind of main thing they're going to have to do to get into character?
04:06Do you see?
04:06I mean, come on, I tried.
04:08You nailed that one.
04:09I think I did.
04:10For them, I think, well, for him, he's used to performing.
04:15And he's such a big character anyway.
04:17Yeah.
04:17I think he should just embrace that and go big.
04:21Yes, you're right.
04:22Let's go now to Alex and Johannes.
04:23They're going to be doing the quick step.
04:25Lauren, they're going to be doing Devil Wears Prada.
04:28Will this dance be a dance that will fashion them some points?
04:32I hope so.
04:33I think Alex was so unbelievable last week.
04:37And she got scored really highly.
04:38And it completely surprised her.
04:41And I think that she's just going to go into this week with so much more energy.
04:44I think she should bring a bit of Miranda Priestly, Meryl Streep kind of energy going into it.
04:51I think she should embody some character.
04:52We know that's what she does anyway for a living.
04:54And I just think this could be a week where she could really fly through.
04:57I think I just spat a bit of popcorn out there.
04:58Oh, no, I am sorry about that.
04:59We've got people to take care of that.
05:00Don't worry about it.
05:01Don't worry about it.
05:01That flew out.
05:03We're going to go now to Karen and Carlos.
05:04They're doing a cha-cha-cha.
05:05Emmanuel, she's going back to the Latin after her epic success with the Jive on week one.
05:12Will this be a hit or a miss congeniality?
05:15I think it's going to be an absolute hit.
05:17Karen's one of my absolute favourites.
05:20I wasn't expecting...
05:21Because she was so nervous at the beginning.
05:23She came out and absolutely smashed it.
05:26So I'm looking forward to her to coming back and going back to Latin as well.
05:29Because she was really good.
05:30Yeah, she's got this intense focus.
05:32She really listens to Carlos.
05:33She really cares.
05:34Even though we're given the results before and she was waiting for them,
05:38you can see the nerves on her face, how badly she wants to go through.
05:41She's doing amazingly well.
05:42Let's go now to Lavoie and Aliash.
05:44They're going to be doing a waltz, Mary Poppins.
05:47Sheree, you've spent years getting into character.
05:50So what advice would you give Lavoie?
05:52I don't think Lavoie needs any advice from me.
05:55I think she is fabulous and will get into character.
05:57I think this is definitely a dance for her.
06:00I just think you'll see that side of her personality.
06:04And it will just be...
06:05And the waltz as well.
06:06I just think it will suit her.
06:08I know.
06:08A hundred percent.
06:08Pigeon lady.
06:09I think I'm going to cry watching that one.
06:11I know.
06:11I'm going to get emotional.
06:12It's such a beautiful piece of music.
06:14Let's go down to Elia Vito.
06:15They're doing a samba.
06:16Now, Lauren, she floated like a butterfly last weekend.
06:20But can she sting like a Barbie?
06:22I mean, look at her in her wig already.
06:24She's getting into character with that wig already.
06:27Wasting no time whatsoever.
06:29Listen, we've seen of Ellie that she is the most vivacious, fun person.
06:33You look back at, like, launch night and how excited she was to be there.
06:37And I think this song is just going to really tap into her, what she knows, her culture, you know,
06:43things that are happening around her age.
06:44And I think, oh, I just love her so much.
06:46I think she's absolutely brilliant.
06:48We get a lot of her personality, I think, on this one.
06:50But, Cherie, it's a strictly tribute to an iconic part of the film, the whole disco dance scene.
06:55Does that add pressure to do it justice?
06:57I think it does a bit.
06:58But also, because it's such an iconic scene, she will embrace that, you know what I mean?
07:03I think she'll go for it because we all know that scene, you know.
07:06So I think, even though it is, you know, a bit of pressure, but I just think she'll nail it.
07:10She's going to bring us into her party.
07:12Absolutely.
07:13She's going to invite us onto her party.
07:15We're going to go now to George and Alexis.
07:16They're doing the first couple's choice of the series.
07:19It's the Soda Pop from K-pop Demon Hunters.
07:22Emanuel, your daughter is a huge fan of the film.
07:25How much faith do you have?
07:27Oh, you don't, the song, is it like an earworm?
07:29It's just there.
07:30I find myself humming it in the gym.
07:32Really?
07:33Which is, yeah.
07:34I get, yeah.
07:34I think people are looking at me weird because I get into it as well because I've heard it so many times.
07:38It's a backup.
07:39You start bouncing to it.
07:40It is a banger.
07:41You can't deny it's not a banger.
07:42No, it's a great song.
07:42But the thing is, though, will George get into it?
07:45Do you think he's going to do well?
07:46I think so.
07:47George, he's really, you can tell because he said he danced when he was a kid.
07:52And you can see a lot of that coming through.
07:55And I really think he's just let his power out.
07:58He's going to do really well on this one.
08:00I think so, too.
08:01I'm excited to see it.
08:02And, Lauren, it is the first couple's choice in the series.
08:04It was a song that was number one, as we've been hearing as well.
08:07What do you want to see?
08:08I mean, look, there's the George that I knew before the Paso and there's the George that I know now after the Paso.
08:14And I apologise to my husband, but I'm a changed woman since seeing that last week.
08:18But what I do want to see from George this week, I think is just, you know, we know he's really fun from everything that he does online.
08:25I think it has the ability to make or break you a little bit once you follow a really powerful performance.
08:32And I just want to see him commit 100% to the fun and show us that fun character that we know he is from all his online stuff.
08:37I didn't know he was, when he first came on, I didn't think he was going to be as good as he was.
08:42Yeah, yeah, yeah.
08:43But that's what we love about Strictly, is the surprises.
08:45And I think we're going to get loads this weekend.
08:47He's been incredible.
08:48He did this thing last week on his knees.
08:50Yeah.
08:51It's called the Paso Slice.
08:53I saw it, man, well, don't you worry.
08:55Speaking of Paso, we're going to talk about Austin Yvita now, because they are doing a Paso Doble Thunderbirds.
09:02I'm so excited for this.
09:04But Sheree, what will they need to do to ensure it's Thunderbirds and go on Saturday?
09:08I mean, it sounds funny when you say it's going to be Thunderbirds, so you sort of think it's going to be funny, but it's such a serious dance.
09:12Yeah, it's a serious music as well.
09:14Yeah, serious, but I think, I mean, last week was really emotional.
09:18The week before, he was like a fun character.
09:20So it would be really good to see this side of his character, if he can really bring it.
09:23I think he's going to bring it.
09:25Yeah, I do.
09:26Well, listen, we are done for now, because we've got a few more couples to talk about later on.
09:30Let's hear it for our Friday panel.
09:35Next up tonight, they transported us to a Cuban vineyard with a charming cha-cha-cha.
09:40And rumor has it, Lauren has been stunned by Jimmy's hip action.
09:44How do I know that?
09:45Well, I heard it through the grapevine.
09:47Let's remind ourselves.
09:48Those hits were swinging so much, they were hitting the front row, darling.
09:56I would like for you to work on your leg action, but you've got a Latin feeling, and we love it.
10:03We love it.
10:04This is how cha-cha's supposed to be.
10:06We said cha-cha, you did cha-cha-cha.
10:08I like it.
10:08Thank you very much.
10:09It's Jimmy and Lauren, everybody.
10:17Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy.
10:19You look like you were really enjoying yourself on Saturday night.
10:22Are you starting to find your strictly rhythm?
10:24I was enjoying myself, actually.
10:27I think, yeah, it was a great moment.
10:33Nervous before, but I think when I started dancing, yeah, I really loved the dance.
10:43You did not look like you were nervous at all.
10:45You looked like you were having the time of your life.
10:47But let's talk about the legs, because Craig said that they were heavy.
10:52Monty said that they were earthy.
10:54Shirley said that they were grounded.
10:56I mean, we had loads of different descriptions for them.
10:59Were you intentionally keeping the legs soft?
11:01Were you wanting to get this more like Cuban inversion?
11:04It's week two.
11:05It's early days to kind of throw technique.
11:08We've got to build a foundation.
11:09And I saw on the Monday, when we came in to do the cha-cha-cha,
11:13I saw the natural rhythm and the natural movement that Jimmy had.
11:18And I didn't want to sacrifice that for trying to straighten his legs.
11:22And I know it's more authentic of a cha-cha-cha to be like that anyway.
11:25So I wanted to really, really keep that for the routine,
11:27because I wanted Jimmy to be comfortable.
11:30Yes.
11:31And that was the main, because he was so nervous the week before.
11:33Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:33I really wanted him to be comfortable.
11:34I'm not going to lie, I'm Cuban, and that is how we do it, baby.
11:36There we go.
11:37I liked it, I liked it.
11:39Thank you.
11:39You're welcome, Jimmy.
11:40You're welcome.
11:41All my family at home were like, woo!
11:42Yeah.
11:43But we've had an alter ego pop-up this weekend.
11:48Jaime came out to play.
11:50How beneficial was it to kind of take on a character?
11:52It was very beneficial.
11:54Nice.
11:54It was.
11:55It was.
11:57Lauren came up with it, and I understood it.
12:00And it put me in a different persona.
12:03Yeah.
12:03And it helped me.
12:04It does.
12:05Who's a footballer?
12:06You know, so for a footballer to go out there and feel like he's doing the cha-cha-cha,
12:09I didn't want him to feel, so we made an alter ego, didn't we?
12:13So you were in the zone.
12:14I was in the zone.
12:15She asked me, what is the equivalent of Jimmy in Spanish?
12:19I should have just called you, actually.
12:20You should have called me.
12:20Yeah, what is called you?
12:21Yeah.
12:21So I said...
12:22Jaime is the one.
12:23I said...
12:24I liked Jaime.
12:24I really liked Jaime.
12:25I really liked Jaime for that time, as well.
12:27Well, hopefully, if we say it long enough, Jaime will come back.
12:30Jaime will come back.
12:31There's a couple of the latins coming your way, so you've got to stick with it.
12:34We're going to move on to movie week.
12:38You're doing a Roomba to this.
12:40There's just no time to die.
12:43No time to die, Billie Eilish.
12:46It will be the strictly tribute to James Bond, No Time to Die.
12:50You get to play another character.
12:52I know you're a huge fan of the Bond films anyway.
12:55Yeah.
12:56So how excited are you about this one?
12:58I'm very excited to be Bond for one day.
13:04But then, on the other hand, it brings a lot of, like, challenges with it,
13:09because now I have to act as well.
13:11Yes.
13:11Dancing is not my first thing, you know.
13:15So a lot of things to think about, but very excited to be Bond for one day.
13:19If Jaime is anything to go by, you're doing good.
13:22It's good, though, because he has...
13:23Naturally, when he's a bit concentrated, he has that intense look.
13:26So he kind of leans into that.
13:27And which Bond actor are you going to be channeling?
13:30There's only one, eh?
13:31Mr. Craig.
13:32Oh, yeah!
13:33I like Craig.
13:34I like him.
13:35I like him.
13:36I like him.
13:37Well, we thought we'd give you a little bit of a chance
13:39to give us your best impressionation of Craig
13:42and find your inner version.
13:44So can you please look down the lens over here?
13:46And I'm going to ask for some music, please.
13:50My name is Bond.
13:53James Bond.
13:57I give you a ten, baby.
14:01Lauren, first Roomba of the series.
14:03Yes.
14:03Always a bit of pressure to do that.
14:04Now, you've rehearsed it on the floor today for the first time.
14:08How did it go?
14:08Because it's an intimate dance on a big space.
14:10Yeah.
14:11Not going to lie, I was really nervous.
14:13I've never choreographed a Roomba on Strictly before.
14:15This is your first one.
14:16This is my first one.
14:17And I love the Roomba.
14:18It is beautiful.
14:19So I really wanted to kind of, like, pay homage to the dance,
14:22pay homage to the movie and really create that.
14:25I said to Jimmy, let's create a bubble around us on the dance floor
14:28and draw everyone into us.
14:31And I feel like we managed to do that today.
14:33But today is today and tomorrow is tomorrow,
14:35so I've got everything across for tomorrow.
14:37Okay.
14:37Well, we've got a question that's come in for you all.
14:40Let's see what we've got here.
14:41This is from, oh, Alfie, age seven.
14:44Alfie!
14:45And Alfie's from the Isle of Wight and he's asking,
14:47Jimmy, what is harder to learn?
14:49Dancing or football?
14:52100% dancing.
14:54100% without a doubt dancing.
14:57It is, I've got so much respect for all the professionals
15:01and everybody who wants to learn dancing.
15:06It's so much fun.
15:07Totally different than football.
15:09Football is easy.
15:11You just go on the pitch and you just run after people,
15:13you kick a few, you know.
15:15Well, Alfie, I think you should try both.
15:16Give it a go, both of them, yeah?
15:18Shall we?
15:18But good luck to the two of you with the rumba tomorrow.
15:21I can't wait to see you on that floor.
15:23Jimmy and Lauren, everybody.
15:28Okay, Craig, did you enjoy that interview?
15:31I loved, loved, loved that.
15:34Good.
15:35Just like Amber and Nikita, samba on Saturday.
15:38Let's remind ourselves.
15:39You have the most amazing body rhythm I have seen in a while.
15:47Well done.
15:49As you move forward, I'd like to see more seamless transitions.
15:53So when you're spinning, I don't want to be able to tell
15:55that each foot is going.
15:56I want it more smooth.
15:57I loved, loved, loved that.
16:01Yes!
16:05Give it up for Amber and Nikita.
16:08Top of the leaderboard last weekend.
16:11What a birthday present that must have been for you.
16:13How did you feel on Saturday?
16:14I forgot that happened.
16:17You know, and then they said, let's look at the leaderboard.
16:20And I thought, oh, let's look at it.
16:21Let's see what happens.
16:22Where are we?
16:23And I could not, I was looking for Nikita.
16:26I thought, oh, we're at the top.
16:28But it was a gorgeous surprise.
16:29So you were looking for Nikita, but not yourself.
16:31No, I was like, where's Nikita?
16:32We're at the top.
16:34And how good does it feel to get off to such a strong start
16:36after being thrown into the deep end,
16:39literally, of Strictly Come Dancing?
16:40It's a dream.
16:42This whole thing is now settling in that I'm,
16:46this is a process, I'm doing it.
16:47I'm having this experience with Nikita.
16:50So I'm just trying to work as hard as I possibly can.
16:54And it's nice to see the work pay off.
16:57Yes, of course it is.
16:59And Nikita, the judges were full of praise for Amber,
17:02but they did offer some very constructive criticism as well.
17:05Does that give you a bit of an indicator
17:07that they have faith in Amber's ability?
17:09Yeah, I think so.
17:10I mean, like, we want to hear the critique, criticism, criticism?
17:14Criticism, very good.
17:15Criticism, wow, that was great.
17:17First word I've said and I already messed it up.
17:19That's fantastic, well done, me.
17:21No, honestly, yes.
17:23Like, the feet work, especially Anton and Sherlyn Motta,
17:26they all said about the feet work.
17:27And that's what we tried to focus as much as we could this week.
17:31And, yeah, all the little, you know, all the little heel turns
17:34and all the little things.
17:36Let's focus on Samba first.
17:38Because we're excited about what just happened.
17:39Samba, Samba was great.
17:41We're going to focus on Samba as well.
17:42We can work on Samba, yes.
17:44I need to swap the feet work, swap them.
17:46Yes, exactly.
17:47It's totally different.
17:48But I want to talk more about Celebrate the Samba
17:50because it really was so sensational.
17:51You got some amazing comments.
17:53You also gained a very rare accolade
17:55because you got a higher score from Craig
17:58than you did the other judges.
17:59That's only happened eight other times in Strictly history.
18:03And the last time was Angela Rippon a couple years ago
18:06when she did the Charleston.
18:07Oh, yeah.
18:08That was the last time it's happened.
18:10So it doesn't happen often.
18:11But after getting the eight from Craig
18:13and then getting the sevens from the rest of the judges,
18:15was that a bit of a disappointment?
18:17Kept us humble, didn't it?
18:18Kept us really humble.
18:21I thought we were humble already.
18:23Should you answer that for real?
18:24Amber said that very quickly.
18:26I said that with my chance.
18:27I think she's desperate.
18:28It was...
18:29I wasn't expecting an eight.
18:31You weren't expecting an eight?
18:32No.
18:33So the fact that we got one from Craig,
18:37you know, was like,
18:38oh my goodness, what is happening?
18:39So when the sevens came, I thought,
18:41oh, okay.
18:42That's what I thought.
18:43You thought, why?
18:45Excuse me?
18:46Excuse me?
18:47Okay, well, now we can move on to this week.
18:49You're through to movie week
18:50and you're going to be doing
18:51a strictly tribute to the sound of music.
18:53It's an American smooth foxtrot
18:55to a version of this.
18:57You are 16 going on 17.
19:0016 going on 17.
19:02You rehearsed it for the first time in the ball.
19:05Better than we.
19:07Okay, in the accent.
19:08Still rehearsing on the couch, yeah.
19:09But you were in the studio today
19:11for the first time.
19:11How did it go?
19:13Do you know what?
19:13I find as soon as we step foot in the studio,
19:15it's very disorientating.
19:17It's so disorientating.
19:18Because you're rehearsing in one space
19:20or maybe two spaces
19:21for the routine in the week,
19:23when you get into the studio
19:25and all the lights
19:26and the people,
19:28you panic a little bit.
19:30Yeah.
19:30And with our routine as well
19:32because we have so much going on.
19:34like it's all the placing
19:36or the feet
19:36and we have so...
19:37They want to spoil too much
19:38but there is everything going on.
19:41So if you mess up a little foot,
19:42it's done.
19:43Yeah, but it can easily be hard
19:44to disorientate yourself.
19:45Yeah, it was that.
19:46And I was cornered
19:47into a false sense of security
19:49by Nikita
19:49because he told me
19:50that the Samba
19:51is the hardest
19:52out of everything
19:53and that was incorrect.
19:57Are you saying...
19:57She wouldn't lie to you.
20:01The nice words told.
20:02Why is the fox so difficult?
20:05What are you finding
20:05so difficult?
20:06I find the fox trot
20:06at the start of the week
20:08I found it impossible,
20:09didn't I?
20:10Yeah, we didn't like the...
20:10And it's walking.
20:11We didn't like the feather step at all.
20:12She didn't like the feather step.
20:13No, no, no.
20:14There was tears involved.
20:15There was tears for the feather step.
20:17Well, at least there were feathers
20:17in it to help you dry them off.
20:18Yeah.
20:19Nice.
20:19You're welcome.
20:20But Nikita,
20:21let's talk about
20:22the building foundations
20:23that you were so adamant about
20:25at the weekend.
20:26The floors, the walls, the roof.
20:28Where are we now
20:28in the American Smooth?
20:30Well, we have now
20:32the windows
20:32and we have the benches.
20:34Oh, benches.
20:34So we are progressing.
20:36Okay.
20:36Yes, we are progressing
20:38and hopefully that will try.
20:39And do we have something else?
20:40And we have a bike.
20:41Thank you.
20:42Oh, bike.
20:42Bikeography.
20:43I love her.
20:43You have bikeography.
20:45Yes, Amber knows
20:46my choreography better than me.
20:47No wonder she was crying.
20:48Did you tell her that on Monday?
20:50She would have bikeography as well.
20:52I kept it for Thursday.
20:53But you kept it for Thursday
20:54just to do a little...
20:55He just dropped things in
20:58over the week
20:58and you need to do this
20:59and you need to do that
21:00and yeah.
21:01But you're doing so great.
21:02I've loved it.
21:03Look at it this way.
21:04He believes in you.
21:05He does.
21:06You're amazing.
21:07Amber is the best, genuinely.
21:08Thank you.
21:09It's just...
21:10You know, like when you go
21:11into the room
21:12and the student
21:13which is your partner
21:14at the same time
21:15actually wants to
21:16suck up all the information
21:18that you have
21:18and is taking all of it in
21:20writing it down
21:21in this favourite book of ours
21:23which is bigger than the Bible
21:24is humongous
21:26and just ask questions
21:28and question
21:28then who goes home to rehearse
21:30I do homework.
21:31Do you do homework as well?
21:32And then she tells me
21:32about her left elbow
21:33in her dream
21:34I'm like, Jesus.
21:35You see, you just met
21:36and it's going great.
21:37It's going to be amazing
21:38this weekend.
21:39I can feel it.
21:40Well, good luck
21:40to the two of you.
21:41I hope it goes well.
21:41Let's hear it for Amber and Nikita.
21:43Yay!
21:46Right, there's nothing better
21:47than a...
21:48Saturday night and the moon is...
21:51Oh, yes.
21:51And here's how George and Alexis
21:53and Vicky and Kai
21:54got on in training
21:55as they aim to put
21:57their names in lights.
22:00This week we're doing
22:01a couple's choice.
22:02Every detail
22:03and every step
22:04matters.
22:05Chest.
22:06I'm struggling with something
22:08called a reverse wave.
22:10I'm nervous.
22:11I can't make it cool.
22:12I'll take it.
22:14Don't.
22:15Is that not good?
22:22The Charleston is fast.
22:24It requires, like,
22:25a lot of steps,
22:26quite compact ones
22:27in a very speedy fashion.
22:30Stamina's really important
22:31in this dance,
22:32so we're constantly
22:32running the routine
22:33so that we're
22:34performance ready
22:35for the weekend.
22:36I wish my stamina
22:37was where it should be.
22:39But...
22:40I really like me sofa
22:41and sausage rolls.
22:43I'm just having a second.
22:44Okay.
22:48Welcome back
22:49to my Friday panel.
22:50Woo!
22:50Woo!
22:52Right, let's go straight in.
22:53We've got half of them
22:54to go still.
22:54Louis and Katia,
22:56Paso Doble,
22:57the mask of sorro.
22:59Cherie,
22:59he's made a really strong start
23:01to the competition
23:02the last couple of weeks.
23:03How much will the Paso Doble
23:05suit him,
23:05do you think?
23:06I think,
23:07to be honest,
23:08I think any dance
23:08will suit him.
23:09But this will be,
23:11I can just tell,
23:12it's going to be incredible.
23:13Yes.
23:13Like, incredible.
23:14And I know,
23:14obviously,
23:15he's had a really strong start
23:16and I know the judges
23:17have been a little bit
23:18nitpicky with him
23:19because he's so good.
23:20But he's so good.
23:20He's so good,
23:21I know.
23:22But I feel like
23:22when they do nitpick him,
23:24I just want to go,
23:24leave him alone,
23:25he's so good.
23:26But I just think
23:27he'll be,
23:27again, incredible.
23:29It's really going to suit him.
23:30But, Emmanuel,
23:30the feedback from the judges
23:32is about the technique,
23:33technique, technique,
23:34the refinement,
23:35they want him to soften
23:36things up a bit.
23:37What do you think
23:38he needs to focus on,
23:39though,
23:39for the Paso Doble?
23:40The performance,
23:41especially like the Zorro.
23:43Yes.
23:43And they say soften up,
23:45the Paso,
23:45you can't soften that.
23:48Go in strong with that one.
23:50Yeah.
23:51I think he's really
23:51going to channel the character.
23:53Let's go to another Paso Doble,
23:54Chris and Nadia.
23:56This one is Thor-themed.
23:57Lauren,
23:58he's going to be
23:59the God of Thunder.
24:00How much do you think
24:00this suits him?
24:01I mean, look at him.
24:03Look at him, Jeanette.
24:04He already looks like,
24:05is it Chris Hemsworth
24:06playing his Thor?
24:06Yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:07He literally,
24:08all he needs
24:09is like a wig
24:09and one of those
24:10chest plate things
24:11and he's away,
24:12he's ready for this.
24:13Yes.
24:14And I think,
24:14like last week,
24:15he had like,
24:15you know,
24:15not the greatest of scores.
24:17He's been kind of
24:17like hovering down the bottom
24:18and I just think,
24:20come on, Chris.
24:20You've got this.
24:21Be cool.
24:22You can do this, Chris.
24:24You can do the Thunder.
24:25Just be the superhero
24:26that I know you are.
24:27Exactly.
24:28But Cherie,
24:29he escaped the dance-off
24:30last week,
24:31which is always
24:32really scary for anyone.
24:33Could this be
24:34the perfect dance
24:35to come back with?
24:36I think so,
24:37but what I just
24:38don't want to happen
24:39is that he takes,
24:40you know,
24:41last week
24:41and it still plays
24:42on his mind.
24:43That's the only thing
24:44I think might let him down.
24:45But I think it's
24:45such a good dance for him.
24:46It's a fighting dance.
24:47It is a fighting dance
24:48and I really hope
24:49he does do well.
24:51Well, let's move on now
24:52to Belvinda and Julie
24:53and they're doing
24:53a Foxtrot swing time.
24:56Emanuel,
24:56her first ballroom
24:57of the series.
24:58How do you think
24:59she's going to fare
24:59with the Foxtrot?
25:00Look at her.
25:01This is someone
25:02who's been preparing
25:04for this for like
25:0520 years.
25:07She's been ready.
25:09I think she's
25:09going to be fun.
25:11And plus,
25:11the other ones
25:12are so high energy.
25:13She gets to relax
25:14and be a lot smoother
25:15with one.
25:16I feel like we're
25:16getting lots of light
25:17and shade from her.
25:18Yeah.
25:19And Cherie,
25:20what have you been
25:21most impressed with
25:22Val so far?
25:23I think it's just
25:23her commitment.
25:24Obviously,
25:24she's a massive fan
25:25of the show
25:26and I feel like
25:26she's living
25:27the Strictly dream.
25:28Do you know what I mean?
25:29So I'm just impressed
25:30with everything about her.
25:31She's enthusiastic.
25:33She's been amazing.
25:35And I just think
25:35she's just going to
25:36carry on being stronger
25:37and stronger
25:38and stronger every week.
25:39So, no,
25:40I really like her.
25:40I'm excited to see
25:41this side of her as well.
25:42This kind of like
25:42classy version.
25:44All right,
25:44let's go down to
25:45Vicky and Kai.
25:45They're doing a Charleston.
25:47Lauren,
25:47she has struggled
25:48with nerves
25:49every single week so far.
25:50But she's getting
25:51great scores.
25:52So do you think
25:52that a great Gatsby
25:53inspired Charleston
25:54is the dance
25:55to finally get her
25:55to just relax?
25:56I mean,
25:57look at her.
25:57It doesn't look relaxing.
25:58that, does it?
25:59No.
25:59I mean,
25:59it's not quite
26:00the relaxing dance.
26:01However,
26:03I think after her
26:03scores last week,
26:04she'll be feeling
26:05and should be feeling
26:06really, really confident
26:08and enthused this week.
26:09And I think
26:10for her to come
26:10and do a fun dance,
26:12get that Geordie spirit going,
26:13I think this could be
26:14a really, really good week
26:15for her.
26:16I would love to see her
26:17just go up the lead
26:18more a bit.
26:18Yeah, me too.
26:18But Cherie,
26:19Vicky is such a bundle
26:20of energy.
26:21Yeah.
26:22Do you think
26:22this kind of bubbliness
26:23is going to go well
26:25with the energy
26:25that's required for Charleston?
26:26I do.
26:27I think because
26:28she's so nervous
26:29and that is the worst thing
26:30is having those nerves
26:31and know what it's like.
26:32It's just horrible.
26:33But I think with this,
26:34because it's so high energy
26:36and she looks like
26:37she's got loads of energy
26:38to give,
26:38doesn't she?
26:39that hopefully it will be,
26:41I don't know,
26:41I mean,
26:42even looking at the rehearsal,
26:42she looks great.
26:43She's got a smile
26:44from each of her ears
26:45so she looks like
26:45she's enjoying herself.
26:46She can dance.
26:47She's a good dancer.
26:48Yeah.
26:48So let's go now
26:49to Jimmy and Lauren,
26:50the Roomba,
26:51first one of the series.
26:53Emmanuel,
26:53it is the first one,
26:54but do you think
26:55this dance is going
26:56to suit him?
26:56Is he going to be able
26:57to get that target
26:58of the Roomba
26:59that he needs?
27:00Yeah,
27:00I do.
27:02I mean,
27:02even now,
27:03look at his lines.
27:04It's actually,
27:04and the concentration
27:05in his face
27:06and his hips
27:07are going as well.
27:08They're like Shakira's.
27:09They're just
27:09sitting through.
27:11But the hips
27:12have been amazing
27:13because last week
27:14he had incredible hips,
27:15the cha-cha-cha.
27:16Yeah.
27:16So that should transfer
27:17over into the Roomba
27:18this week,
27:19surely.
27:20I reckon so.
27:21His hips hurt me
27:22last week
27:23watching that.
27:25Yeah,
27:25and Cherie,
27:26your husband Harry,
27:27he was a former
27:27teammate of Jimmy.
27:28But what do you make
27:30of the partnership
27:31of Jimmy and Lauren?
27:32I think they've got,
27:33like,
27:33I mean,
27:33even you could see
27:34before when they
27:35were together
27:35that I think
27:36they've got
27:36a really good chemistry
27:37and Jimmy just looks
27:40like he is having
27:41an absolute ball.
27:42Yeah.
27:43And I think anything
27:43that they,
27:44you know,
27:44you guys throw at Jimmy,
27:45he's going to do it
27:45and he's going to do it
27:46like with all his heart.
27:48Yeah.
27:48And he really wants
27:49to change the conversation
27:50about footballers
27:50not doing well
27:51with the dancing.
27:52Do you think
27:52he's doing that?
27:53Absolutely.
27:54And he's good.
27:55He's really good.
27:56So I don't think
27:56we have to worry about Jimmy.
27:57Do you know what I like
27:58about Jimmy?
27:58He sits there
27:59and he listens to Lauren.
28:00He listens to me.
28:01He's walking in a room
28:02and then all of a sudden
28:03Jaime takes over.
28:04Like,
28:04what happened?
28:05What is going on?
28:08Right,
28:08let's go down to Amber
28:09and Nikita.
28:09They are doing
28:10an American Smooth.
28:11We just spoke to them then.
28:12Lauren,
28:13she's at the top
28:14of the leaderboard
28:14so far in the competition.
28:16What are you expecting
28:17this week
28:18from this American Smooth?
28:19I mean,
28:20surely the only way
28:21is up now for Amber.
28:23She has just come in
28:24like a duck to water.
28:26She is so marvellous already.
28:28Is she still,
28:29is she still around?
28:30Is she around?
28:30Amber,
28:31Amber,
28:31I love you.
28:32I love you.
28:33I just think you're amazing.
28:34If you're still here,
28:34I think you're brilliant.
28:35I just think she's
28:36absolutely extraordinary.
28:38Yes.
28:38And, you know,
28:39there's those people
28:39who say,
28:40well,
28:40she's done musical theatre.
28:41I mean,
28:41you don't just pick that up.
28:43You don't do a feather step.
28:44Like she said,
28:45she struggled with it.
28:46Absolutely.
28:46She's used to performing
28:47on stage
28:47like Lauren said then.
28:49How big of an impact
28:49do you think
28:50that's going to be
28:50for her on movie week?
28:51For this week,
28:52I think it's going to be huge
28:53because she's musical theatre
28:55and this is musical theatre
28:57at its finest.
28:58Okay.
28:59Guys,
29:00the time has come.
29:01It is now time
29:02for a plot twist.
29:05Who do you think
29:06is going to be cut
29:07from the competition
29:08this weekend?
29:09Emmanuel.
29:13Hit me.
